[HELP] Video lessons recording

Hi,
I'm following lessons via Adobe Connect Pro on Mac OS Snow Leopard.
How can I record the lessons? I wanna do that in order to convert and transfer them on an iPad to view them later.
I tried to grab lessons with Quicktime, but I get video only, no audio.
Any hint? Which software should I use?

What site are you watching the training from? Internal or external?
If the site is internal to your company/agency, the host of the meeting who recorded the session from Adobe Connect has the option to go into their Adobe Connect Central and make the course available for offline use. Once they do that you then can download it from their Adobe Central page. However, those courses are created in Adobe Flash format and so you cannot watch local Adobe Flash content on the iPad because Apple has forbidden Adobe Flash player from being installed in iOS at this time. If Apple changes their stance on that, then you would be fine.
You do have the option though of using a screen capture software such as Snaps Pro found here: http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzprox/. You have the option of recording everything such as video and sound to one file which is Quicktime. That can be played on the iPad once you transfer it to the device.

It also takes time for the photos to be transferred out of your iPhone and into Photo stream on Apple's iCloud servers.
Note that this can't happen if your iPhone is not connected to a WiFi network:
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.0 to 2.1.2). Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select the photos to import to My Photo Stream, then click Open.

The format from the phone is :
h.264 encoded video, AAC audio. Both standards of MPEG 4.
You need Windows Media Player version 12 or above to play MP4 (or add the codecs to your current version).

Skype video call recorder?

Is there any apps available to record the skype video call? That should happen in the background while I am in Skype call. How?

Problem viewing videos I recorded with the phone

When trying to view videos I recorded with the phone, It gives me a message saying it is impossible to view this multimedia file format!
It has been recorded with the phone and it can't watch it on the phone!? It doesn't recognize its own recording format
Help please

If the format is in 3GP you can view it with a player called VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/), or can try a video conversion program to convert it into a format your computer can read. Once such program can be found here http://www.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Converter.aspx

I also wanted to thank you for your response and let you know that I have tried all those trouble shooting things you suggest to no avail.
it seems to me that the first explanations are most likely to be the case.
namely that the program can multithread while the plugs only use one processor (particularly EXS24) which is bloody useless.
also increasing the buffer to 1024 is not an option cause you gotta bloody lay tracks, which means you gotta hear the BG tracks and play yours on top in time otherwise, you record your new tracks and they are so out of time that it sounds like a little kid wanking on a guitar or whatever...
and of course for composition with midi intruments it doesn't work at all cause your latency becomes so huge that you would need a miracle to quantize your off time notes back to normal so that you can arrange, print score, etc.
either way, I hope that my tone is not disrespectful, it is aimed at apple in frustration, I'm grateful for your help.

No audio in videos I record

At first it was fine but after like 2 months, my phone stopped playing the audio on videos I recorded and I thought I had to restore the phone so I did but the problem is still there.. whenever I play a video I recorded, all I can hear is this static-like noise and the funny part is that when I record audio on the Voice Memos app it works just fine, so I know it's not that my phone can't record audio, it just doesn't while I'm recording a video and I'm a little confused! help.

Link in Mozilla Thunderbird will take me readily to website. Website shows additional links to on line video lessons. These lesson links do not show up. They show up on my other computer. I do not know where to look to correct this. I cleared most cookies (kept the ones I need), then cleared cache. I think I did this correctly. I have restarted the computer for a refresh. you have said that the link opens ok from Thunderbird.
This is a forum for issues with the Thunderbird email client and your issue is not a Thunderbird issue.
I presume therefore that you are talking about a browser.
Are you using the same browser on both computers?
Some websites prefer to use IE because the website developers did not do a decent job of ensuring that their website works on all browsers.
check the http address line on both computers, is it the same?
As you have cleared the Firefox cache, when you use the link to get to the webpage, did you try to 'refresh' the page by clicking on the 'reload current page' icon located to the far right of the address line - looks like an incomplete circle with arrow head.
If this is a Firefox browser is it up to date? The latest version has recently been released. check this 'Help' > 'About firefox', the latest version is 30.0.
If you are talking about Firefox then suggest you try the Firefox help forum.

It sounds like your screen recording is doing what it was designed to do, capture what is happening on your screen, with optional voice over with the microphone.
Screen recording is for recording what you see on the screen, it is not a "video capture" option, like for capturing a movie with sound that is playing on your screen.

The password is set on the WiFi router providing the service, by the owner of the network to prevent unwanted "guests" accessing the network. The only way to know it is to ask the owner permission to use the network. Otherwise, you have to find a free WiFi hotspot that doesn't require a password.

Youtube usually had an 8 minute length cap, which may be part of your issue. Also at 18 minutes that is probably a gig+ file size, which will also take a long time to upload and may be another part of the issue.
Edit it down as jim suggested. Or you may need to use something like dropbox, to get it off your ipad and onto a computer where might have more options to edit it down or size it down.
If it's just file size you can transcode it into a smaller file - a lower quality MP4 for example. If it's the length that's an issue for youtube, you'll need to break it up into a couple different files and upload part 1 and part 2

In the iPhone Photos app, I get an error that states "Requested URL was not found on this server" when trying to watch a video I recorded

For some reason, I cannot watch a video I recorded on my iPhone. I can see the first frame of it in the gallery, but when I click on it, I get the error that the requested URL could not be found on this server. Why would that display, if the file is on my iPhone? I'm not using iCloud to back up photos,, but I do have Photo Streaming enabled. Is there any way to get to this video? I don;t want to lose it, as it was a priceless moment.

Ok, then as long as the videos reside on your PC, do the following:
1) In iTunes on your PC, unsync the music videos (On the Music tab, uncheck "Include Music Videos, and then sync your iPad).
2) Sync the music videos back to the iPad (check that same box again and sync once more).
Does this fix it?

If sub-titles are technically not possible, how about making the script of the video available to be read alongside the video?
