Hi, im getting an error message where the app is unable to connect to the stream. the code is 0xfde0001b It is not allowing me to watch anything live or on catch up please help as im missing the cricket! Thank you

Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin. Sometimes it's necessary to uninstall then reinstall that plugin.
Uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the currently installed plugin first.
Now launch Safari and try a video.
If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
You may also need to delete the cache associated with Safari .
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Click Go the move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a video.

Why do I see: iTunes Help is unavailable because your computer isn't connected to the Internet. IE9 works fine but iTunes does not connect to the store.

I have tried 4 days to get iTunes 10.4 working on my Win7 x64 machine. I purchased a new iPhone4 and after syncing it the first time, I can't connect to the iTunes store.
When I try to run iTunes Help, I get this message "iTunes Help is unavailable because your computer isn’t connected to the Internet." However IE9 and Google Chrome run as always...... no connection problems.
I have already uninstalled IE9 x64 and iTunes 10.4 x64 and reinstalled but still the same. I followed all the instructions I could find about firewalls, ports, SSL etc.

I'd like to suggest (again, yawn ) that the You Tube help video's be subtitled for the profoundly deaf/hard of hearing users who are BT customers.
If sub-titles are technically not possible, how about making the script of the video available to be read alongside the video?

CS6 Help is unavailable

CS6 Illustrator Help is unavailable. When I try to access it via the Help menu, or by pressing F1, I get the following message
"To access online Help or to download Help contents, you need to be connected to the Internet."
I am connected. Why do I have to have access the Internet just to view Help?
There use to be a keyboard sequence that would bring up the installed Help on your system. Is that still available, and if so what is the key sequence?
This is not a Creative Cloud version of CS6.

UPDATE: Just tried to access After Effects Help and it does nothing. No error message or anything. Then tried Photoshop Online Help which gave me a similar message about needing to be connected to the Internet.

I am having the same problem and it is driving me crazy! I saw someone else on the forums posted about it last month, too. Were you ever able to resolve the issue? I feel the program is crippled without the help menu, and may just try to do this project in CS3 instead, because I'm soooo upset at this program now.

In what country do you live? Is this on a Mac or mobile device; some videos are not available for mobile devices (why, I don't know, it's a youtube thing).

Cisco jabber video service is video unavailable

In my PBX I can use video in cisco jabber (over the lan)
When users from branch try to use it does'nt work .
In the jabber they get the error "video service is video unavailable" /
The media service is installed .
Any advice ?

Check that all the relevant firewall ports are open between your sites and that there's not any packet inspection happening on the SIP traffic. The list of firewall ports has been posted a number of times in the Jabber Clients section of the forums.

HELP VIDEOS NOT WORKING: CODEC MISSING

Okay up till today afternoon my Mac was working just fine, Safari worked and so did everything else. I installed a new Apple Security Update which broke Safari, I reinstalled Mac OS X Panther (10.3) from scratch, immediately re-updated to 10.3.9 and installed QuickTime 7 then installed Divx 6 and try to play some of my videos in QT that worked before (I was running QT 7 this morning before OS reinstall) and now videos are not working, there is no picture or sound.
I have ran Disk Utility before and after major installations to prevent system errors. Tried reinstalling QuickTime 6.5.2 but that only seems to work when running QT 7.0.0 (version 7.0.4) got installed.
Tried deleting 7.0.4. and installing 7.0 says it cannot install QuickTime because a newer version is already on computer although I deleted it completely. Have tried installing 3ivx for QuickTime, reinstalling Divx 5.2.1, Divx 6 in different orders and still no luck.
Any ideas what can I do? Anyone have a download for Divx 5.2.1? I can always reinstall QT 6.4 (even if I have to do another OS reinstall) then install Divx 5.2.1 and then upgrading to QT 7 after installing Divx and 3ivx.
Most of my videos are in AVI - need Divx or any good video codec to play.

Thanks - I had to reinstall Mac OS X just to get QuickTime back. After I installed it I downloaded and reinstalled Divx 5.2.1 component for QuickTime then ran one of my videos just for a sec (have them saved to CD) and it worked.
Earlier I only had Divx 6 component for QT installed (when I mentioned reinstalling QT 7 and then installing Divx (before latest OS reinstall) and Divx 6 did not help any I didn't even have sound. I installed Divx 5.2.1 now and got my sound and video back.
Now I just have to recopy all my media back to my hard drive -- all the videos and music and pictures (to QuickTime, iTunes, and iPhoto). Have bookmarked the url u gave me and will refer to it in future if I need it again.

Possibly a very basic question but I have set up a spread sheet in Numbers and have viewed help videos but I can't get it to give me sums for the columns I highlight. Keeps coming up with the figure zero. I have version 09 2.3(554). Can anyone help

I have viewed the run through videos and used the formula but nothing happens apart from giving a figure of zero or a red arrow. The sum icon in the bottom left hand section of the window does not highlight or show any total as I understand from the video that you can drag whatever total is here onto the relevent position on your spreadsheet. To sum a column, use a formula such as this one in Cell A6
Type this in a cell below your data:
=SUM(A2:A4) or whatever range of cells you want to sum. The easy way is to type:
=SUM(
and then drag or shift-click to select the range of cells. Close the formula with a final bracket ")".
The sum icon in the bottom left hand section of the window does not highlight or show any total
To see the sum (and other simple statistics) in the bottom left, select a range of cells. That tells Numbers which cells you are refering to.
The videos are good, but the Numbers'09 User guide, and the Formulas and Functions User Guide are better. Download them from the Help Menu in Numbers.

a while ago my mate downloaded music videos to a cd for me and i put them on itunes and then converted them to fit the ipod as they wouldnt go on the ipod, but when i converted them the sound disappeared. anyone know what i can do? i watch the music videos but theres no sound, and on my ipod theres also no sound when i watch them.

'm on a mac running leopard. The following TRULY baffles me.
So im a sound designer and i have an external sound card i
use for my work. When i watch flash videos with my built in sound
card (like youtube videos) everything is fine....
... but when i use my external soundcard the video content
stops and starts; it jitters all over the place. The audio however
is fine!
Now is this a hardware issue? i have all latest drivers and
firmware... or is it a setting in flash player i'm missing?

Those will effectively kill a lot of stuff that tries to run with videos. They used to spike my CPU on a Win 7 e-machine (plugin-container.exe) until I blocked everything.

PLEASE HELP video on new itunes 6.0 ! ! !

I Have been trying to drag and drop most of the videos in my "my videos" folder to itunes in preparation for the 5th gen. ipod. Most of them work, but some here and there will say "error -2048 this file is not a movie file" when I try to open it with quicktime, which of course, if you can open it w/ quicktime itunes will accept it.
ANYONE ELSE HAVING THIS KIND OF PROBLEM?
IF SO, DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A WAY TO REFORMAT A VIDEO FILE TO QUICKTIME FORMAT?

They are most likely the wrong size, and wong format for iTunes/iPod.
Some video conversion software will help. Im not a Windows user, but im sure one will reply soon with a few tips on software.
Quicktime Pro should do the job.

Please help, video won't play in Premiere but audio will.

I have a video that was shot with a still camera that allows for short videos. The video is 30fps, 640x480 44100Khz audio.
When I play it in Windows Media Player it plays fine. If I import it in Adobe After Effect it play fine, but when I import it into Premiere, the audio plays fine, but the video plays like there are only 2-3 frames and that's it. the clip is the correct length, visually. Can anyone help? All other clips imported fromvideo cameras work fine.

Your clip probably uses the MJPEG codec.
