HELP: Vista 32-bit login issue

Hey everyone! I have had this problem for a while now, and I sort of decided to dissmiss it but I want to fix it but don't know how...
Basically when my MacBook Pro goes into Vista loads up the login display and I log in straight away the whole laptop will restart. And this happens over and over again unless I leave it dormant on the login screen for a bit (which makes me think it's a memory thing).
Is there any way to fix this? I don't really want Vista taking me straight into it without a login screen for security reasons.
Here are my specs:
Windows Vista Ultimate
Processor: Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2600 @ 2.16GHz 2.17 GHz
Memory: 2032 (I used to have 4 GB but one day my battery died and somehow I lost 2GB :-S)
System type: 32-bit Operating System

Do a Safe Boot.
click on properties for your hard drive and have it scan for errors.
run command "sfc /scannow"
Boot from Vista DVD and run memory test.
did you get the memory replaced? or just removed some?

When you get Vista fixed or stable, while in OS X make a backup image with WinClone.

I have a M515 which I am unable to sync with a Windows Vista 64 bit machine using a USB cable. My computer does not have a IR port.
Read thru several threads but did not find a solution for this problem for a 64 bit machine.

Hello akashmedehrotra and welcome to the community.....
Windows Vista 64 bit is only sync with a wireless connection. Either Bluetooth or Infra Red. The M515 does not have bluetooth, so you would have to purchase an IR Dongle and sync using Infra Red. You won't be able to sync with the USB cable on your desktop.

Vista 64 Bit Printing Issues

We've got a Swing app that we've been deploying for years that appears to have issues when being run on 64bit Vista.
We use Jasper to gen reports and use pretty standard code to print them the oddity is that on some Vista 64 installations - we get "java.awt.print.PrinterException: No printer found."
I wrote a small diagnostic that we run on these machines and when run it shows us that there are printers available to java - just not when looked for from within our code.
Any ideas?

MBP 15,4" Early 2008 - VISTA 64-bit:Wi-Fi issue, BSOD issue, uTorrent issue

If you noticed following problems under Vista (64-bit and 32-bit) and/or Windows XP SP2/SP3:
- MBP looses Wi-Fi connection and can not login again to Wi-Fi router (restart needed to solve this)
- random crashes/BSODs/restarts,
- problems with uTorrent
you have a probably problem with stability OS and Broadcom 4321ABGN Wireless Network drivers 4.170.25.15 (bcmwl664.sys - check minidump file (copy from C:\Windows\Minidump to Desktop for example) using Windows Debugger available on MS website: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/DevTools/Debugging/default.mspx

Solution: to install 4.170.77.3 drivers available from:

If setup.exe does not respond install drivers from Hardware Manager (Update driver).
I did not notice described issue anymore after applying new drivers. This could be also a an issue between Broadcom drivers/OS and uTorrent.

go through each step of the general installation troubleshooting completely then restart your computer and try to install it again. It worked for me on the first try so hopefully this helps!

All was well until the events I entered on the phone were showing up in Outlook, but not the other way around. I’ve tried the usual recommended steps: deselecting calendar and contacts in the iCloud control panel and then re-selecting, signing out of the panel and back in, and repairing the Outlook installation in control panel. I even uninstalled iCloud on the PC and downloaded it again (same version).
The furthest I’ve gotten is step 2 (and once, step 3) of 7 while performing “Outlook Setup For iCloud.” At that point I get, “Your setup couldn’t be started because of an unexpected error.” After the first attempt at all this, all my calendar events disappeared from Outlook, although they are still in iCloud calendar and on my phone.

I am trying to get rid of all my 32 bit apps because the more of them you run in 64 bit the less resources are available.
Firefox has a 64 bit browser they call the Shiretoko build. I love it, it's twice as fast as a heavily tweaked 32 bit firefox. Java has a 64 bit plugin that works with it.
The last holdout is Adobe.
Microsoft is making Vista and Win 7 64 bit as easy and smooth as the 32 bit versions as a means to get people to start using them.
Linux has a way to make flash work with 64 bit.
Remember when we all had a 16 bit operating system and how much better things got with 32 bit?
Adobe, it's time!.. don't you see that?

no the audigy 2 zs is pci based. they have another called audigy 2 zs notebook and that's the one for laptop. if you can't find it from your vendor, you can always try getting it from someone else.

Windows Vista 64-bit Flashe Player 11 issues.

I am operating on Windows Vista 64-bit. Adobe automatically downloaded Flash Player 11. I use the FireFox browser. Now I can not view some things to include things on the Adobe site. Is there something I need to do as far as setting and what not go? I have cleared my cache and restarted my pc several times and still same issue.

Please Help! Problems with Windows Vista 32-bit on Boot Camp (Wireless/Etc)

We recently purchased a new aluminum Mac Book (13 inch) with Leopard (10.5.4). I attempted to install Boot Camp and Windows Vista 32-bit. I can successfully alternate between both operating systems with no problems. However, I am having 2 problems:
1) I cannot connect to wireless internet. No connections will even show up when I attempt to connect, its almost as if an adapter hasn't been installed.
2) I cannot set up the trackpad to do right click.
I've read articles everywhere and nothing has helped. Can anybody please help me??? Any support/advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Apple discussions.
It appears that you may not have installed the boot camp drivers. Boot into Windows and insert your Leopard installation disk in the CD/DVD drive. This should automatically begin installation of the necessary drivers. Reboot the computer when instructed and all the hardware should work as designed.
The right click is accomplished by placing two fingers on the trackpad and then depressing the trackpad button. This should also work after the drivers are installed as instructed above.

ITunes never opens in Vista 64 bit help

Im running a Windows Vista 64 bit laptop. I tried installing iTunes several times. After sever times I finally got it to install.
But when I went to run it nothing happend. Nothing at all. I hooked up my iPod and still nothing.
Is there a problem with iTunes? or what?
Need help with this please.

RSC does not get files correctly + inconsistent shading issues (Viste 64 bits)

We experience serious trouble with RH 7 update 1 on Windows
Vista 64 bits.
We work with a team on our software helpfile. When a member
starts typing in a topic RH checks out the file. When the topic is
checked-in RSC performs an undo check out and all the mutations are
lost.
Secondly, when we open RSC some files are yellow (shaded).
This is an option of RSC. When we get all topics, some topics stay
shaded. When we view differences, RSC says that the files are
identical.
Any help is greaty appreciated!

Help with compatibility of photosmart printer 7760 and Windows Vista 64 bit

Just purchased an HP Pavilion dv5-1150us OS Vista 64 bit,. I have a HP photosmart photo printer model 7760. I did not use the disc that came with the printer to install the printer. Instead I downloaded the needed driver for vista from HP, However, doing so has left me with a printer that prints in a normal mode only, and I do not have any printing software anymore. I cannot change the resolution of the printing for photos where I would want best or max dpi, and have lost all editing and printing options. Is there any way in which I can install the software for the printer and make it work with vista? I was using it with windows XP SP2. and achieved fabulous results. The printer works well and is relatively new. I do not need another cheap printer for documents, which is what this has turned into when using it with my new laptop. Please help.

Help, hotsync palm treo 755p to my laptop with windows vista 64 bit.

I am computer unsavy and could use some help. I have a palm treo 755p that previously synced with my old dell laptop. That computer broke, and I got a new HP with windows vista 64 bit. Previously, the dell was running windows xp. I have bought some new software, which I have downloaded to my laptop, and am trying to sync my palm to the new computer so that I can download the program to the computer. However, after installing the Palm Hotsync Manager and other software, and when I trying to sync, the computer does not seem to recognized my palm, and times out after a while stating "the connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again.

Palm OS devices will only sync to 64bit through Bluetooth. We have a stickie concerning this. It's the third topic down under windows hotsync. Does your computer have Bluetooth?
