  • Windows 7, Itunes 10.3.1.55. "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer".

I just built a new Computer and sucessfully moved my iTunes Library and music over (Windows 7, Itunes 10.3.1.55).  I am getting a message on the cover flow view that states, "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer".  This Cover Art is showing in all other views, so it is there.  I upgraded QuickTime and even install Safari.  This did not work.  I have a very large music collection and prefer the coverflow navigation.  Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I too am having a very similar problem with cover artwork in Itunes version 10.3.1.55 for my Windows 7, 64 bit computer. Certain Artists or Albums cover art will not show up and also when I try to manually add my own cover to the album it does not save. I can however, view with the coverflow option but its useless without all the cover art. I would greatly appreciate any help with fixing this very annoying problem.
I've looked into the direct x suggestions and that doesn't seem to be the problem. Thanks anyway, Polydorus.

  • Y?:  "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer"

Y am I getting the mentioned message on my re-installed iTunes? As of 3:00 p.m. on 01/17/2009, I had over 1,000 songs with all album art until my computer crashed, again. Now that I've re-installed iTunes, in the place where there should be album art in the 'Cover Flow' view, I'm getting the following message: "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer." How do I fix this?

  • Party Shuffle: "iTunes is unable to browse album artwork on this computer"

    Hello
I have recently had to completely wipe and reformat my hard-drive, after the Operating System started running really slowly. I'm now back up to speed and everything's great, including iTunes.
However, when I go to run the Party Shuffle, I get the above error message showing. Whilst this doesn't interfere with the functionality of the application, I was wondering if there was perhaps some additional component that needed to be installed in order to make iTunes able to display the artwork. For what it's worth, I can view the artwork in the Artwork Browser, just not in Jukebox mode.
None of this is a showstopper, but I know that I used to have this functionality and now I don't.
    TIA.

  • ITunes 7 cannot browse album covers on this computer error and crash

Installed iTunes 7 yesterday, and now every time I try to go to certain pages in the iTunes store, such as movies or tv shows, I get an error saying "iTunes cannot browse album covers on this computer". Then iTunes immediately crashes. Has anyone else had this problem? Any fix??

I have the same issue. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but I was on the Cover Flow View and it was working fine. I clicked on the full screen icon and the entire screen went random (meaning totally random pixels of color all over). I pressed the escape key and the normal screen returned, but it only showed a black section where the covers had previously been. I restarted iTunes and it started giving me the same message. I also can see them in the lower left and on the Album View. Just the Cover Flow view doesn't work. I downloaded the latest iTunes today and I keep all of the Windows updates on.

I have downloaded the current version of Itunes (v 7.0), and now, when I select the "Album Covers View", I get the message that "Itunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer". In the earlier version of Itunes, I could browse Album Covers. Anybody know why this arises in version 7, and how do I fix it? I like to browse my album covers!

Looks like my video card is probably not updated, so looks like I'll have to update the drivers or may get a new video card, been wanting to get one anyways. I've downloaded a driver for my card from the SIS site, now it's in a zip file and I don't know how to open it! I'm running something called WinRar (i think)

trust me, if you have an operating system newer than M.E. then you have a graphics card larget than 8 MB, but to find out what kind of card you have click on srart>run> then type in "dxdiag"(dont put the "") and hit ok, it will probley give you a box that says something like it needs to update, just hit ok, you will come to your system information, click on the display tab and under approx. total memory it should tell you
