HELP! Warning! Damaged project! (Ginst)

Today when I launch Garageband on my iPad I get the message:
"Warning! Damaged project! (Ginst)". I press OK and Garageband then tries to load the last song I was working on and then crashes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

And I can't even get into GarageBand now to do anything else, since it auto-loads the last project you worked on. Massively frustrating.
In that case it should help to reset GarageBand. You can do that from the "Settings" app. Scroll down to GarageBand and switch the "Reset GarageBand" switch to "On".
This will reset it to factory settings and you can pick a different project, when you open GarageBand again. Sometimes this even helps to open a broken project, but I would not not rely on that, that the corrupted project can be opened after resetting GarageBand.

Damaged Project

I was doing vocal recording today in Logic 8.
After the whole day Logic crashed I got the usual - Saved as crashed option. After restart "Minor Repair" and the "Warning - Damaged Song"
The whole song opened containing nothing at all.
I opened the version I saved 30 minutes before in another name. Same thing here.
I opened all the 10 previous versions in Project File Backups and all of them are the same?
How could this be possible that 12 different saved project files are all damaged?
Is this a nasty bug or? I have never seen it before in my whole life and it scared me as I might revert back to Logic 7 after this. A whole day of vocal editing down the drain!
I have always been able to get back to a project from the Project File Backups?

Need help for my project

I need some help with a project. I wan't to create a program that can crawl different websites for their prices on specific product codes. I have these product codes listed in XML format (or another format). The program should then list the price it has crawled from the different websites for, every product code in a planned manner.
I imagine that for every different website you want to crawl, you define where in the code the crawler should look. E.g.: (where xxx is the product code)

What is the Different Types and Usage of Views
The followings are different types of views:
- Database View (SE11)
Database views are implement an inner join, that is, only records of the primary table (selected via the join operation) for which the corresponding records of the secondary tables also exist are fetched. Inconsistencies between primary and secondary table could, therefore, lead to a reduced selection set.
In database views, the join conditions can be formulated using equality relationships between any base fields. In the other types of view, they must be taken from existing foreign keys. That is, tables can only be collected in a maintenance or help view if they are linked to one another via foreign keys.
- Help View ( SE54)
Help views are used to output additional information when the online help system is called.
When the F4 button is pressed for a screen field, a check is first made on whether a matchcode is defined for this field. If this is not the case, the help view is displayed in which the check table of the field is the primary table. Thus, for each table no more than one help view can be created, that is, a table can only be primary table in at most one help view.
- Projection View (SE11)
Projection views are used to suppress or mask certain fields in a table (projection), thus minimizing the number of interfaces. This means that only the data that is actually required is exchanged when the database is accessed.
A projection view can draw upon only one table. Selection conditions cannot be specified for projection views.
- Maintenance View ( SE54 )
Maintenance views enable a business-oriented approach to looking at data, while at the same time, making it possible to maintain the data involved. Data from several tables can be summarized in a maintenance view and maintained collectively via this view. That is, the data is entered via the view and then distributed to the underlying tables by the system.

Honestly, you did not get my point.
What I am saying is, that the icon view has no rational order of files. Why is that?
At least there should be a way to figure out, even if it is not possble to alter the sort criteria, in which order the files are listed in icon view.
If I serach for a spezific file, sure I can use list mode, but what about "there were a couple of frames with that car, and it was shot after file X … a just let me fastly scrub trough the footage in that brandnew icon view … wait … where is … aehm .. ok, I scrub trough every file."
Do not get me wrong, I love the new icon view possibilities so much, that I want to actually use them.
Please just fix it Adobe, or tell me how to decrypt the sort mechanism.

Honestly, to sort manually. If you want an auto sort, use List view.

Damaged Project : "Encapsulate or Repair" ?

Yesterday I received the dreaded 'damaged project' error message that I've read so much about...
Luckily I was able to restore the project using an earlier version (in song backups). I did attempt to repair the project prior to this using the "repair" option (which clearly doesn't work - it just duplicated all my tracks & messed up all my sample references). I presume the "encapsulate" option is just a report summary, but correct me if I'm wrong - has anyone tried this option or had any success with the "repair" option, or is it simply quicker (& better) to rebuild a project from an earlier version?

What causes a project to become damaged? It seems unique to Logic 8 (I've not experienced this with earlier versions of Logic or any other sequencer)... Time is money on any commercial session, so I'm keen to avoid it in the future.

Adjustment Layer Crashes Premiere or Damages Project

Nearly every time I have tried to use an adjustment layer in Premiere Pro CS6, the application has hung if I tried to scrub through the video. Yesterday I decided to try placing an adjustmnet layer and only using the play function rather than scrubbing and it seemed to work alright. However, this morning premiere will no longer open the project file. Instead it give me the error message "The project could not be loaded, it may be damaged or contain outdated elements." This is an extremely heinous bug! Can anyone help or is this feature really just unusable?!!
Additionally, because I was so fastidious about saving, given the previous crashes, the only functioning autosave is 6 hours out of date!

I use ALs a lot, and haven't yet seen this behavior.
Have you added any effects to the AL? Does scrubbing work OK without the AL?

Help needed recovering project files from trash

Hi everyone, I am hoping that someone will be able to help me. I just did something stupid!
I created two new projects in iMovie this morning and then needed to clear out the mac in order to speed up a clip as I was getting the warning that my disk was full. So I copied a lot of files from iPhoto onto a hard drive and then moved them to trash including the raw files that I was using for these projects. (I got a bit carried away!) Yes the video files were in iPhoto and not iMovie Events as the last time I uploaded files iMovie was not playing the game.
The files are still on the mac as I have not emptied the trash and they are also backed up on an external drive connected to the mac, but I have emptied the iPhoto trash. I tried importing the files back into iPhoto from trash and only got so far before the disk full message came up again. But even those ones that I did manage to re import are not showing up.
Is there any way that I can continue with these projects or have I effectively ruined them? Do I need to start again from scratch? I hope not as they took me hours and hours to create and had pretty much finished them.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :-)

To see these "other" backups, you need the Browse Other Backup Disks or (Browse Other Time Machine Disks on Snow Leopard or Leopard) option. It's available by Alt/Option-clicking the Time Machine icon in your Menubar, or by control-clicking (right-clicking) the Time Machine icon in your Dock.

Very simple , on a click of the button a message was supost to be sent. and receive on the other machine. i have launched the same war file on both pcs
but now nothing happens just a exception message

One time, after quitting IM and re-launching it later, my project disappeared from the project list.
Apple Support told me to do this.
1) quit IM
2) with the finder, move the project out of the project directory
3) launch IM
4) quit IM
5) with the finder, put the project back into the project directory
6) launch IM
My project re-appeared. He said these steps forces a project index to be rebuilt.
Your symptoms are different but maybe the cure is the same --- good luck.

Damaged project won't preview

Warning - An iMovie project file can become corrupted and there doesn't seem to be any way to recover it. Like many others on this forum, I've learned this the hard way. Just search for "repair" or "corrupt". Plenty of posts but no solutions beyond reverting to a backup. Are there really no solutions?
In my case, iMovie starts and is working fine on other projects, but I've got one project that hangs iM whenever I try to preview ("play") it. By hang, I mean the beachball spins and CPU usage goes to 100% forever. Oddly, I can skim through it OK and I've even been able to copy and paste out the sequence into a new project. That'll save me a ton of work but I'll still have to replace all the music and titles.
I'm not happy that so much work has been lost. This shouldn't ever happen. But you should plan for it if you don't want to be crying with the rest of us.

Rockin' good news. It appears that, while my project is damaged and cannot preview, it functions in every other way. I was able to continue editing, albeit "blindly", and then share a fully working movie to the media browser. Whew!
This would have been tough if my project wasn't already almost complete. All the video was done and all I was doing was adding the final chapter markers and placing a few songs. This isn't too hard to do without previews.
One other comment: If you're really careful about setting your preferences and project settings, it's possible to copy and paste from one project to another with pretty good fidelity: Transition and slide times, and KBE settings can be maintained. This is a partial solution to adding one project to another, to concatenate them. I had a problem moving stabilization settings, they all got set to "max" in the transfer, but later found a preference setting that might have caused that. I haven't confirmed whether you can avoid that problem. Of course sound effects and music don't transfer, but these can be replicated fairly quickly if they weren't too complex.

Help needed ASAP -- Project file won't open

Stuck in Africa right now (can't call telephone support).
I am volunteering on a medical/dental trip and am in charge of the final nights video.
Here is the problem.
I am almost done with the video (15 minutes long -- full HD) and suddenly the when I click on the project from the project library it won't open.
all the other projects open fine. Just this one project won't.
when I click on it, the project library slides to the side, but behind it is another project library, but when I mouse over it plays the movie, but it is un-editable in this state.
It was working great until this dreadful moment....
I saw another post about deleting the thumbnails for an EVENT that was having problems. Can this be done with a PROJECT file?
The big movie presentation/trip is in 12 hours....
Can anyone help me???

One time, after quitting IM and re-launching it later, my project disappeared from the project list.
Apple Support told me to do this.
1) quit IM
2) with the finder, move the project out of the project directory
3) launch IM
4) quit IM
5) with the finder, put the project back into the project directory
6) launch IM
My project re-appeared. He said these steps forces a project index to be rebuilt.
Your symptoms are different but maybe the cure is the same --- good luck.

This is the Question
Create a class ToyCollection that stores information about different toys in a toy shop. The information to be stored about a single toy is,
-         Toy identification as String
-         Name of the toy as String
-         Short description about the toy as a String
-         Price of the toy as float
-         Quantity of the toy in hand as short integer.
This class contains following methods,
-         Constructor method that assigns user input values to above mentioned variables.
-         main ( ) method that creates array of 4 objects of ToyCollection class and that takes input for all above details from the user and
calls method to check validity of Quantity and Price values. If all values are valid then create the objects and display the details
for all 4 toys.
-         Method that checks validity of quantity and price. If the quantity is 0 or negative then method should throw user defined
exception with appropriate message and come out of program. Similarly if the price is 0 or negative then it should throw user defined exception with appropriate message and come out of program.
-         Method that displays all details about a single toy in the following format, e.g. Here Total price should be calculated.
