I restored my iPod, authorized comp, it's in my history, set on auto sync, but still says,"iTunes could not install the iPod Touch Software Upgrade on iPod "1337grunt" because an unknown error has occured(-4)"
Please help me

I am having this same problem. I am thinking it will fix itself when I download 2.0. I did lose all my contacts, calendar, etc.
I am also wondering why I had to pay $20 for the January Software Update and now I have to pay again $10 for this update, when those same applications are included. If I had waited until now, I would have those programs for half price. lame.

I plugged my ipod touch in to charge last night, the power went off and my ipod fried. I've tried holding the menu and lock button a number of times, but it won't turn on. I can replace it online, but I was wondering if I could visit an apple store and get it replaced there and then for the same price? The warranty has expired.

Yes. Connect your current iPod to your computer and perform a back up of it via iTunes. Then connect your new iPod Touch and you should be asked whether or not you want to restore from a backup of it or not. See this article for more information.

I seemed to have figured it out...... I hard reset my Iphone and rebooted my computer and it seemed to work. It also seemed there was a music file that was not being recognized, I just erased it and everything worked fine after that.... very strange but I am so glad I figured it out.....

Facebook will not load. Email will not load. Nothing will load. Firefox is not compatible with my anti-virus, so it disabled. All Adobe files were lost in the download process. Need help with my Facetime. The Audio cuts out when I open the app, only on my Macbook though.

I've noticed this problem since I upgraded to Yosemite. My Facetime app does not work. Either I will connect someone and I will constantly hear the ringing of a facetime call even after the call has been answered, or my speakers will cut out and we won't be able to hear each other.
Can anyone help me out?

First take the steps described in the comment of texasgrape1 in this discussion. If there's no change, see below.
Open the Sound preference pane and select the Input tab. Make sure the microphone you're trying to use is selected and that there's a response on the volume meter when you speak into it. If any other sound input devices are shown in the device list, what are they?

App data is NOT stored with the apps in your iTunes library. Some apps store data is stored i servers and thus will appears when yo log into that app. Otherwise, yo will have to restore from backup to get the app data back to the time that the backup was made.

Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup

GO to edit, prefferences and choose the video section then look at all the options and press ok at the bottom of the pullup menu

If you restored from backup all the photos in your camera roll that were in the backp should be restored to our iPod. However, photos that are synced to the iPod are not in the backup. You will have to resyc them to the iPod. If the synced photos are no longer on the computer then the photos are lost.
