Help When i call anyone...
When I call someone on my iPhone it says my dad's name on their caller id. I'm on his family plan. How can I make it so it say's my name?

Most likely you can't. If your father is the account holder then he is the legal owner of the number.
I'm the account holder on my AT&T account, so when my husband calls someone whose caller id displays a name, it comes up with mine instead of his.

Try this:
1. Reset the iPhone by pressing and holding the sleep/wake and home buttons and releasing them, when the Apple logo appears on the display. Now test again.
2. If the issue persists: Restore the iPhone without any of your own content, using this description from Apple: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
3. If the issue persists, Your iPhone need repair. -

That doesn't make any sense to me at all, unless the games you're trying to play have some sort of online connection/capability and you're in a weak signal area, thus the games can't make the required online connection. What happens when you turn cellular data off in settings: Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data>Off.

To say that I am livid would be the greatest understatement EVER made in the ENTIRE history of the planet. Last night my iPhone 5 decided it would go into Recovery Mode. (That is.....a Black screen showing the iTunes logo, a white 'up' arrow and with the white cable/plug at the bottom of the screen).
(Hold onto your Samsung Galaxys people - do NOT throw/give them away when you 'update (yeh right) to an iPhone).
So I turned it off and left it off all of last night. I arrived at work this morning to 'sync/restore' it with my computer where it asked me to install the latest version of 'whatever it is the latest version of.' HOWEVER, as I do not have the administrative rights to do such things on my work computer, I was unable to do so and now I have been riding the 'Apple Merry-Go-Round' since 0630hrs (WAST). It comes up with the following message in a window on the screen:-
'The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (14).'
Gee - thanks for that - I'd never have known unless I saw that little window!!!! The fact that my screen has frozen and I am unable to install, sync or restore anything kind of gives it away!!!

That is a 'tad' hard as I work in The Pilbara Region of North West, Western Australia (for 4+ weeks at any one time) and won't be back in 'civilisation' until next Monday week (10th of Feb, 2014)........Talk about being held to ransom by technology!! I have asked other people at work (who ALL have iPhones) and when I showed them the screen (& the whole ridiculous process) they screwed their faces up as they had never seen such a thing. Some people NEVER get asked to update/install anything on their phones.....So, I have to wonder why mine 'asks me'.......constantly.
I fear that my 'Apple' is not an apple but that it is actually a 'Lemon.'

Oh yeh - the opening hours actually say Sun 10:00am til 4:00pm or even 6:00pm in some places.......how convenient - when you call (them on their landline FROM a landline) you get the engaged signal!Thanks for that 'sberman' - because my iPhone is backed-up to my work computer (only at this stage) I have had to call our IT Department in Adleaide. (4 times this morning). The last guy managed to get the phone into 'DFU Mode' - no more recovery mode screen - (kind of 'asleep' perhaps) from my understanding of same. I am awaiting a call again from IT so they can get my computer to actually recognise my iPhone on the C Drive. This also happened to one of my colleagues in Newman (WA). She got so frustrated with the whole process that she bought another phone the next time she was in 'civilisation.' She hasn't had any problems since. (Cross fingers).

Has anyone had trouble with the LG 3 Cosmos when a call comes in; I am not able to hear from the caller, but, they can hear me? The volumn is turned up but I can't seem to resolve the issue? Thanks
Oh no, Robinbird18! This is not what we like to hear about your cell phone. It makes it pretty hard to have a conversation with someone when you can't hear them. If you make a phone call out are you able to have a conversation with someone without any issues? How long has this been going on? Have you tried to use the phone on speaker phone to see if that works at all? Please keep us posted. When receiving a call, my phone only vibrates once even if its on silent or not. I have checked all the settings and all appears ok. It works sometimes and doesn't other times. Does anyone know how this can be fixed?
ThanksMaybe your buzzer gets stuck when it vibrates? Try playing it by creating a custom vibration. Does it keep working properly then?
If that works, try setting up another vibration that should be played when someone calls you. -

As far as trying to power up your device, make sure it has a good charge and then hold the button on the top of the phone and the home button on the faceplate together until the apple appears on the screen.

So I got my iPhone. Had problems with the screen and took it back for a stock replacement. The replacement I noticed about two weeks later that when I make calls, 80% of the calls wouldn't make a noise. I would then look at the screen and see its been answered and the seconds are counting away. I'd hang up and try again which would always work.
I've tried a restore. Twice in facts.
Has anyone else had this problem? I'm running the up to date software but think it could be a hardware problem.Thank you so much. You have solved my problem. I never thought to click the down arrow. In all the time I have been printing, on any program, the entire window opened up when I clicked on the print button. This one never did. I don't understand why Adobe support never told me about that when I called them.

I understand you are having issues with sound output on your iPhone 4S. For troubleshooting steps, the following article provides the best information:

1. Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
2. Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
3. While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
4. Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
5. For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
6. If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
7. Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.
8. If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (choose Settings > General > Bluetooth).
9. Restart the iPhone.
10. If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
11. If the issue persists, go to the Service Answer Center - iPhone for information on service.

Forgot my security questions, but I cant call anyone. Help me!
So I made the security questions a few years ago, and I just downloaded the app for my PC a few hours ago. I cannot call anyone because I broke my phone, and I have no home phone. I can't seem to find my Rescue E-Mail, because I'm pretty sure I never even made one. Even if I did, I don't know it so that's ANOTHER problem. I just want to buy some songs.
