Help! When I delete my email from iPhone Outlook account, it deletes it from Outlook desktop
HELP! How do I unsyn my outlook email accounts from my iPhone & PC?
WHen I delete an outlook iPhone email, it automatically deletes it from my PC.
I Want to delete emails manually and not automically from both, PC & iPhone.
THis is killing me! Help
Synch or not synched that is the way IMAP account are suppose to work.
Change your account to a POP

PamelaAdditonally, at this point I really want to talk to someone who cares about how a customer like I might feel in such a situation and when I call corporate would like to talk to someone who is interested in hearing my input as it really sucks to think I really don't feel like going to the store anymore and would rather just buy stuff on amazon or newegg these days instead;/ When I know how much i used to enjoy going into the store and getting friendly with kind staff who worked with me to get the best deal on the items I got--perhaps this was because it was at a more desperate time when Best Buys fate as a company was more precarious prior to price matching taking origin. Also, on an aside, would like to add that obviously there is always the one or two people who go out of their way to make sure you have an excellent expeirenece so I am not trying to make any sweeping generalizations here. In fact, I find the forum contributors to be among the most kind and helpful, but that might be because they don't have to deal with the now seemingly dreaded "pricematch" epidemic;D

When I access my email from the iPhone, new messages appear only briefly and then immediately disappear, before I do anything. Only old messages that were already in my inbox are visible. I can't find the new messages anywhere -- they have not moved to Saved, Junk, Trash, anything. IT is like the iPhone just ate them. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
If you have a POP3 account this means that another "client" email program has retrieved the messages and deleted the messages from the server. You need to change the server settings on that device to leave the messages on the server.
If you have an IMAP or MS Exchange account this means that someone read the messages on another device and either deleted them or moved them to another folder. Or there is an automated script that moved them to another folder. -
I updated to 5.0 today.
Now, when I try to email from my phone, I am block, thwarted, rejected by the following message:
Cannot Send Mail
A copy has been placed in your Out Box. The recipient (enter email here) was rejected by the server.
This happens with my business address. Receiving works.... sending doesn't.
My SBC Global address on this same phone is fine...receiving and sending.
What to do? I'm stressed.

I had the same issue on my iPhone 5S. My internet/email provider told me to uncheck (turn off) USE SSL under Mail settings, and it worked perfectly for me. -
My wife and I have a iPhone 4S each and an I pad. When I send a email from my phone and from my iPad her name comes up as the sender. We only have one contact email address and that is the way we warn to keep it.
Please can someone tell me how I can change this so when I send a mail from my phone and from the IPad that it reads from me.

You need a separate email address but you've already ruled out that solution. -

You don;t get an e-mail from outlook.
Outlook is just an e-mail client, just like the mail app on the iphone.
Your e-mail comes into your e-mail account, which you access from both Outlook and the Mail app.

when i send an email from my iphone - it does update on my comuter thru outlook. everything else updates immediately
How did you get it running using Windows 98?
You must be using POP3 instead of IMAP e-mail protocol.

Please Help. I received 4 emails from 1 person with the same message heading. The emails were automatically grouped Apple Mail. I replied to the latest mail in the conversation. Once sent the other messages in the conversation disappeared. I NEED THEM BACK! They all had very important attachments. I have tried looking for them in deleted items, even though I didn't throw any of them away, still cant find them. Never had this problem before. I'm pretty sure its a setting somewhere. Also tried expanding all conversations, no luck. Searching for the mails under the sent email address, no luck.
I'm sure they are not deleted but have somehow been hidden by Mail. Very frustrating.

Kash.I have found found out what has happened. I had requested a statement dating back to April 2012 from a supplier. They replied back with the latest statementof 2013 only but used the same subject heading as the previous monthly statements. Apple Mail automatically grouped these and I thought that they were sent altogether. As soon as I replied to the last email all other the previous emails ungrouped from the conversation leaving me lost as to where they had gone. They were all still sitting in my inbox but no longer part of the trcked conversation. I searched under the subject heading and all individual mails were all still there. (feeling stupid - )

Recieved email from Computer Help at WHICH magazine with [Request ID :##55675##] : in the subject heading is crashing my THUNDERBIRD (and other programs) when I move the email from INBOX to local folders. The only work-around found so far is to shut them down with task manager, as they wont otherwise close.
However if I move the Reply with the same subject heading from my SENT box to LOCAL FOLDERS I dont get the problem.

Thunderbird is up to date and it is on a 64kb intel i7 quad processor 8G ram desktop using windows 7 latest update.To diagnose problems with Thunderbird, try one of the following:

When I send an email from Apple mail, it send inbedded links, not embedded, my font shows as plain text and signature sends as attachment??

When I forward an email from my Mac Mail, the body of the email I just forwarded shows as an attachment in the recipients outlook. Is there a way to change this so my clients don't have to open an attachment to read something that I forwarded to them?
Open Terminal in Utilties and copy/paste
This will send the attachment embedded inline. (This works in Snow Leopard, but not sure about Lion. Do a test first. If it doesn't work, just google "send attachment embedded + Lion." You don't actually have to send the message to see how it will appear.)
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing 0
To reverse the setting, change the 0 to a 1
However, whether this will work or not will depend on what the e-mail client on the receiver's end does with it. -
When I send an email from Mac Mail, why does Mail go to the background and the Finder comes to the front? I want it to stay in Mail.
Did you check your user name and password in Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your email account, tap SMTP, then tap the primary server name. Make sure the settings there are correct.
