My new T500 nees a 25-character production key to start word2007?where it is?

Is this the Trial version or did you purchase a license?
If this is the Trial version, you only have 30 days to preview the software....after that, you must purchase a valid license from Microsoft from where you will receive your product key.
If you purchased a license when ordering your system, you should have received the Office 2007 recovery discs....the product key will be on one of those discs.

I wouldn't advice to enter the Windows product key on a website, even if they ask for it.<br />
If someone else uses your product key then MS may invalidate yours.<br />
I can't imagine that a site needs to know that key.<br />
Do these sites use specific software?<br />
Do you trust those sites?

Recover the 25 character product key on the PC

While on Outlook 2013, I get following message: We have run into a problem with your office 365 subscription and need your help to fix it. When I clicked on it, it brought me to online store to purchase the Office. When trying to purchase Office online, it asks to provide them with 25 character Product Key off the computer box, which I do not have.
Please let me know what do I have to do in order ro eliminate coming message. Do I have to purchase Office at all? If so, where: at the store or online? But for that I need that key.
Can you help?

How did you acquire Office 365??? Was Office 365 purchased with your computer and is it a fully licensed version or a trial version??? Or did you purchase Office 365 from a local or online retailer???

I believe 90% of Toshiba notebooks you can find on the market are delivered with preinstalled operating system. When you start it for the first time you must NOT activate preinstalled OS. At the bottom of the notebook you can find Windows sticker with valid key license.
Maybe you bought notebook without preinstalled OS. In this case you must install own OS and use own license key.
The question is: which notebook model do you have exactly and was your notebook delivered with preinstalled operating system?
For exact answer please offer more relevant information.

I am new here.
I just purschased a Lenovo SL500 from Hemini.
I have a question that they wouldn't answer for me. Hopefully someone of you can.
My laptop came with windows XP installed and with CDs for installing Vista.
I chose to stay with XP.
The Windows sticker underneath the laptop is for Vista => the 25 digit Product Key it has on it is for Vista and won't work for "validating" my Windows XP and Windows Office software.
Nowhere in the package did I find any mention of a product key for the XP.
Please help me as to what I should do now.

Hi Oingk,
Most [maybe all] computer manufacturers use volume license key to install and activate Windows:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volume_license_key
Preinstalled Windows OSes from lenovo come already activated, it's surprising that yours is not activated. I suggest contacting lenovo CS.
In case you did a clean install then you should have created recovery discs for XP first, these discs contain an image of preinstalled Windows [pre-activated] and other lenovo software:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-68317
As for Microsoft Office, the version bundled with thinkpads is trial unless specifically ordered a license during purchase.

Hi, thanks for letting me know that. Here is my problem, First I bought the adobe from Dell computers. Student and Teacher Version, that's what the guy sold me at Dell. Called the Adobe co. They informed me that I did not need this version, but Adobe x Standard. I called Dell again and returned that version. Than the sales person, sold me Adobe X Standard Version, well you can guess what came next. I needed the Product key which I don't have. I called Dell again, this time I am really upset. I explained to them that all I want is to scan the document and than edit the document, that's all I want to do. I have been given a run aound from one extension to another by Dell Representative. I would really appreciate all the help I can get. God Bless.

Hi, My 3000 J 105 suddenly says the copy of vista premium is invalid and it wants the product key. Of course this Lenovo came with no software or documentation. The computer is now completely useless. Any ideas? Help! I have a bunch of photos I haven't burned to cd's yet I want to recover. Thanks!

Hi, I purchased a 3-year Norton license that was pre-installed on my laptop. I am now getting a pop-up window saying my Norton software has expired, and requiring I purchase new license. How can I find the product key and enter it so that I no longer get this expired message?

For factory shipped Win 8, the serial number of the OS is actually within the BIOS menu, and not on the win 8 stickers under the laptop.

I am trying to cover my iphone under my existing anti virus protection. they are asking for the 25- character code for my phone. Can anyone give me a clue to where I might be able to locate this. Thanks for your help.

No Apple devices have a "key code." iPhones have serial and IMEI numbers and the SIM card has an ICCID. You would have to ask the developer of your antivirus app what they mean by "key code."
FYI, there is absolutely no need for antivirus software with (non-jailbroken) iOS devices. It can't operate within the iOS in any event. The only possible function would be to scan email attachments for malware that could infect other devices.

Where is product key for InDesign CS5 located in Mac Osx?

So this is the context:
Our only Mac in head office is unable to boot up into OSx, I took it to the Genius bar to troubleshoot and they said to wipe the hard drive and re install OSx which is fine except that I need the InDesign CS5 product key off of it. We don't have the product key written down anywhere or the original software/box it came with and also, I don't know which email address InDesign is registered to because it was installed years before I was hired. But I am able to access the hard drive on the Mac and see all the files by booting off an OSx on my USB key. So my question is: does anyone know the file or where I can find the product key on the hard drive?
I'm hoping someone has run into a similiar problem and has a magical answer!

Do you still have the original proof of purchase (CS5 was released in April 2010)? E.g. check who you purchased the software through as well. Depending on the license type the supplier might even be able to assist with the S/N if they recorded it. Also if the serial number was registered against a company name, support might be able to retrieve this for you based on the domain name, but you'd need to at least have proof of purchase is my guess. (Generally they'd ask for a copy of the installer media as well to show that you have the original installer CDs/DVDs).
