For photos in your camera roll, photo stream and other photos in folders you created on the camera, select the photo, the select the trash can icon below it.
For photos you synced to your camera from your computer, you have to deselect the photo on the computer and sync again.

I convinced my wife to switch o Mac. She usually uses the MS Office 2004. Now she is in disspear cause she cant find the delete button. Im not talking about the backspace button, I'm talking about the delete button. Is there a way to emulate the delete button somehow on the macbook?

I think that I may have exhausted every possibility but can anyone tell me if there is, in fact, a delete button on my Mac wireless european keyboard? I have a double width backspace button where the delete should be but it only works as delete in certain applications. It doesn't work as a delete button for instance in iTunes. I would really appreciate any help. Thanks

On an iPad this function is still one apple is to provide. On your Mac wireless keyboard it is the usual hold down the fn key and the tap the delete key.

Hi, this might sound like a ridiculous question but I cant find my delete button. In the manual it says delete is a button with an x in a square but I dont have this button and its not on any second function keys. I know I can delete by backspacing button but I need the x button for alot of second functions. Also anyone know where I can get a list of all the second functions available, as a download or print off version. Im only after switching from PC to mac so I need to get used to all the different functions. Any help much appreciated. Cheers. Tracy

Where is the delete button in iTunes?

Is there no longer any way to delete songs in iTunes (12.1)? I used to be able to right-click on anything in my library and there would be an option to delete, but that option simply isn't in the menu anymore. This is a problem as I'm going to have duplicates when importing new music and being unable to delete old versions of the same songs.

Went to your 'help' section and asked "where is the reload button?" and now I am being told my question is too long. very screwed up folks.

WHY HAVE A 'DETAILS' BOX THAT HOLDS 345 CHARACTERS WHEN YOU COME BACK AND DEMAND THAT I REDUCE IT TO 255 CHARACTERS? HOW STUPID IS THAT? I had an explanation written out but the system won't accept it.
Christ, now it's telling me that my question is too long and I don't even know how to get back to the question to reduce the number of characters in it. This is truly screwed up folks.

By default the Stop, Go and Reload buttons are combined and attached to the right hand edge of the location bar.
When you are typing in the location bar it will show the Go button. When a site is loading it shows the Stop button. At other times it shows the Reload button.
If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the stop or reload buttons and place them elsewhere. If you place them in the order "Reload-Stop" on the right hand edge of the location bar they will be combined again. How can I delete bookmarks on my toolbar when the 'bluestar' isn't illuminated? (Same for the 'delete' button in the library menu).

I have had a look at your solutions page and have tried to use all the advice suggested however, when I try to delete three items on by Toolbar, none of them illuminate the 'BlueStar' which is beside their address. (I have successfully got rid of other items). I have also tried to delete the items in Firefox's library menu, however, the delete button their isn't illuminated either. I am now concerned that the items are spyware. I was thinking of reinstalling the software but, this would mean loosing all my Bookmarks.
For your information, I have just updated Firefox to 28.0.
I would appreciate your help with this matter.

I did as you said (after trying to find a very old mouse in my computer box in the attic!), and managed to delete the offending tags.

HOWTO: Hide the delete button in a NavigatorBar (JSP)
Goal: Hide the delete button in a NavigatorBar or JSNavigatorBar Data Web Bean. This example works for either bean.
Solution: Edit the .jsp file containing your NavigatorBar bean. For a generated BC4J JSP application, the file is YourView_Top.jsp.
Find the code that instantiates the NavigatorBar. It will look something like:

This has come up before, and after some experimentation, there's not a straightforward way to do it.
There are two possible solutions that I can think of:
1. Write your own custom bean and/or extend the beans provided to modify them to your needs.
2. Wait for the 3.2 release at the end of the month. This release provides custom data tags with much finer grained control over specific items such as the buttons.
I think 2 is preferable, if you have the time to wait.

On iTunes 11 you can re-enable the sidebar via View > Show Sidebar. To sync photos, connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes (if you've enabled the sidebar), and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.
If you haven't enabled the sidebar, then from you library click 'iPad' at the top right of the screen and you should get a series of buttons along the top of the screen, including one for Photos

Mac OS 10.6.8. In address book I have tried to delete some groups (created when I created an account in mail which I then subsequently deleted). However in address book edit the delete button is greyed out.

I cannot delete groups in address book because the delete button is greyed out. I have deleted the original mail accounts which created the address book. I could just leave the groups there but the problem it creates is that address book tries to connect to the relevant server every time I open mail, then I get various error messages because it cannot connect. Thanks for any assistance.

I found this link for a similar problem someone had with a Lotus Notes account. I used it to resolve my issue with a different email account (basically followed the same steps, and then looked for the particular account I needed to delete)... hope it helps!
