HELP! White Screen then Completely Unresponsive

I have a year-old Ipod nano 6th generation (small, touch-screen).
Last night I fell asleep with the ipod still on (which I've done many times before with no problem) and when I woke up, I hit the start button and it only had a plain white screen.
After searching around a bit, I found a solution that said to put it in Disk mode (hold Volume down and power at the same time, then hold both volume buttons at the same time)
The part about Volume down/power worked fine, it went to a black screen like it said it would, but then when I tried to do the both volume buttons nothing happened.
I plugged the Ipod into my computer but nothing changed, and my computer didn't recognize that there was anything in the USB port. So then I plugged it into my iHome and still nothing.
Please help, I really don't want this to be broken

Hmm... it didn't work for me, but now after plugging the Ipod into my computer Ituned recognized it and I can restore it.

Help! As of today, my iMac will not boot up. When I turn it on I get a blank white screen then, after about a minute, a blinking folder icon with a question mark in the middle.

Find your original install disk, insert it and re-boot holding the "C" key during startup. It will take longer but should boot. Then you need to select Disk Utilityfrom the Menu Bar. Do a Repair Disk on your hard drive. When it finishes re-boot normally.

Was just opening page on Chrome when computer went to white screen and became unresponsive. Did this several weeks ago too. Disk tools find no issues.

While trying to open a link on FB, my computer went to a white screen and become unresponsive. I had to do a hard close. It did reboot and the Disk Aid finds no problems when I ran Verify Disc. Hello! Since you don't have the startup disk your best shot is using fsck. Tom
when you re-start, hold down the apple key AND the "S" key You'll start up into a command line interface.. it'll look strange but just hang in there. When it's done booting up, you should see something that looks like this: localhost:/ root# at this point, type in 'fsck -f" please note the space before the dash, and of course, ignore the quote marks, then hit return You computer will no go thru some low level checks on your HD. Most likely you'll get a list of a few files that have problems and this procedure will fix them. This should take about 2 or 3 mins, so don't be in a rush. When the line says "VOLUME WAS MODIFIED", this means that changes were made. At this point you should be back at the same localhost:/ root# prompt. run fsck -f again. Wait for it to finish. if you continue to get the "Volume was modified" message, continue to run fsck -f until you'll get a prompt that says The Volume(your HD) appears to be ok, again with the localhost:/ root# prompt. AT this point, type reboot, hit enter and your computer will start up normally. This is not difficult, but you may want to give it a shot when your feel you have a few moments where you can attempt something new and not stress too much.

As mentioned already in this thread this phone needs to go to a Nokia Care Point.
The phone has crashed and needs the software needs to be re-programmed by an engineer.

If you update the software and the problem persists, the more likely your Blackberry screen is defective.
In this case I recommend you dirigas a specialized technical services and comment on what happens to your BB.

I need to get into my phone, but the screen is completely unresponsive.

I have the iPhone 4 and a few months ago, I dropped my phone and the screen shattered. Now the screen is completely unresponsive and I would like to access my contacts, texts, calls, etc.. Is there anyway I could get into all of that through iTunes or at least my computer?
It's been this way for about a week and the texts and calls are flooding in and I can't even let these people know my phone doesn't work. Which *****.
*I don't have the money to replace/fix my phone at the moment, so I need to find an alternative.

You cannot access the phone via the computer. You could try and backup the phone and try and access the backup via a 3rd party software, however most of them cost. Touchcopy is a good one to see the texts, but I'm not sure it will allow you to look at the call lists.
I suggest you find a dumbphone so you can at least handle texts and call since you cannot afford to fix the device right now.

Try starting your iMac with the original DVD that came with the machine then launch disk utility to repair your hard drive.

Have the PRAM battery looked at. It may be all that is needed.

OK, just remembered that someone had posted a solution for this "login loop" issue.
If you follow the directions here and be sure to enter all of this EXACTLY as it appears here, you may be able to solve this problem.
You will first need to boot into single user mode, which will bring you to a scary looking text only screen. Don't be frightened.
To do this, startup holding the Cmd-S keys together. At the entry which shows root# enter the following exactly. Write it down now, since you won't be able to copy/paste. Pay attention to case and spaces. Everything is lower case. The only spaces are between /sbin/mount and -uw, between -uw and / and between rm and /var/audit/current
Type in
/sbin/mount -uw /
Hit return and then at the next root# prompt, type in
rm /var/audit/current
Then hit return and at the next root# prompt type in "reboot" no quotes. Don't type in anything new until you get the root# prompt after entering each command.
If after entering rm /var/audit/current, you get a message back saying "no such file," then just type in "reboot" at the prompt.

Keep getting a white screen then the computer restarts?? PLEASE HELP!

It seems like every time the computer starts to work too hard it just gets a white screen for a few seconds then it restarts.
This is on a Satellite P105 laptop.
I took it apart and cleaned all the dust out as someone suggested and it is still doing it. The fans are coming on and I also have it sitting on a cooling pad. I dont know what else to do?! Could the video card be damaged completely? Or could it be some other problem?

Try the display driver first.
Does it happen with Wordpad? Start, Proggrams, Accessories.
See if you can find a simple way to reproduce the problem. Then try booting up in safe mdoe and see if it happens. if it doesn't happen in safe mode, then it might be something that is loading in normal windows. From the run command, run msconfig, and in that remove the checkmarks from everything in the Startup tab. If you don't have the problem with that, then slowly add the checkmarks back in until you see which one causes the problem.
If safe mode still has the problem, then Startup Repair, or system roll back are worth a try.
Post back if something worked, or need more info, or you have more info.

PS - While it could be hardware, there is a good chance it isn't and I think it is worth the effort to go down this road first.

My apple mac's screen is black, when i try to turn it back on then off again it flashs with a white screen then goes back to black. It's as if it thinks when the screen is open it is closed and when it's closed it's open, can anyone help me!!!

When i open my laptop the screen just stays black, i have tried turning it on an back on and it will turn on to the loading white screen and then turn back to black. i have tried calling apple but there tech support is closed on a sunday here in australia. Try Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
If that doesn't help, try Resetting the System Management Controller
