HELP: WI in waiting status

I have a situation where a SC has been created and I have a work item ID but it's in 'waiting' stage. I can see in the SC approval preview that the right approver has been determined, but no emails are going out.
I used txn SWUE to create a "SAVED" event to restart the WF, and it did by creating a new WI ID but the WF container shows no approvers at all. I go back to the approval preview again, it now says No Approval Required when it facts it needs approval from an executive. It showed the correct approver before I restarted the WF.
Please help me figure out why it went to 'waiting' in the first place and how I can restart this properly.
Thanks.
SN

Hi,
It not picking the approver, for testing purpose hardcode a user id and test it. If still the problem comes check the Task before the approval.
The problem will be in the Task which is before the Approval Task. Then execute and check the method in the BO and assign it to the workflow.

  • HELP - apps in waiting status!!!

    Hi!!
I have an ipad 2, and have never had issues with this before.  I have a few apps that are in "waiting" status. I tried restoring all settings, I tried logging into and out of the store from both the ipad and my computer, I tried syncing the apps from my computer.....but am still having difficulty  - 1 is a new app that I downloaded, and the other is an update!!
    What else can I try???
    Thanks, Wendy

    1. Check iTunes and see if you have a pending/stalled download e.g. Podcast, Books, Music, Movies or iTune U. Finish off the download and you should be able to update.
    2. Check for Updates (bottom right) in iTune. When download is completed, sync to iPad.

I really do not think it is the iPad or your network connection. Other users have reported this very same issue. Try this and see if it works for you - it may not work - but it's easy to try - harmless - and it has worked in the past for others.
Try signing out of your account and restart your iPad.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID and tap the ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Go back to Settings>Store> Apple ID and sign in again.

  • During downloading the new version, it stops with a "waiting" status when Internet's cut happened. Since, impossible to restart or to download again. Help !

During downloading the new version, it stops with a "waiting" status when Internet's cut happened. Since, impossible to restart or to download again. Help !

I have had a similar problem with my system. I just recently (within a week of this post) built a brand new desktop. I installed Windows 7 64-bit Home and had a clean install, no problems. Using IE downloaded an anti-virus program, and then, because it was the latest version, downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0. As I began to search the internet for other programs to install after about maybe 10-15 minutes my computer crashes. Blank screen (yet monitor was still receiving a signal from computer) and completely frozen (couldn't even change the caps and num lock on keyboard). I thought I perhaps forgot to reboot after an update so I did a manual reboot and it started up fine.
When ever I got on the internet (still using firefox) it would crash after anywhere between 5-15 minutes. Since I've had good experience with FF in the past I thought it must be either the drivers or a hardware problem. So in-between crashes I updated all the drivers. Still had the same problem. Took the computer to a friend who knows more about computers than I do, made sure all the drivers were updated, same problem. We thought that it might be a hardware problem (bad video card, chipset, overheating issues, etc.), but after my friend played around with my computer for a day he found that when he didn't start FF at all it worked fine, even after watching a movie, or going through a playlist on Youtube.
At the time of this posting I'm going to try to uninstall FF 4.0 and download and install FF 3.6.16 which is currently on my laptop and works like a dream. Hopefully that will do the trick, because I love using FF and would hate to have to switch to another browser. Hopefully Mozilla will work out the kinks with FF 4 so I can continue to use it.
I apologize for the lengthy post. Any feedback would be appreciated, but is not necessary. I will try and post back after I try FF 3.16.6.

  • JDBC receiver in "waiting" status

I have a scenario where Idoc’s pass records through XI to 10 JDBC receivers (SQL to be specific).
The records are being inserted into all 10 database tables successfully, but in Runtime Workbench, the first receiver has a successful message, but the other 9 receivers go into "Waiting" status. After 3 retries, they go into "System Error" status (but for each retry, the records are inserted again into the tables, ie: I end up with 4 of the same records in the tables).
Runtime Workbench gives me the following error:
MP: Exception caught with cause com.sap.engine.services.ejb.exceptions.BaseTransactionRolledbackLocalException: Exception thrown in method process. The transaction is marked for rollback.
Exception caught by adapter framework: Exception thrown in method process. The transaction is marked for rollback
The message status set to WAIT.
Delivery of the message to the application using connection JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Exception thrown in method process. The transaction is marked for rollback.: com.sap.engine.services.ejb.exceptions.BaseTransactionRolledbackLocalException: Exception thrown in method process. The transaction is marked for rollback..
    Can anyone help?

    HI,
Did you check the Retry option set for these Adapters? if not check it in the Visual admin for the JDBC Adapter
If feasible try re-look the Design. Instead of using 10 different Adapters accessing same database, you can try with one Stored Procedure so that Database hit will be minimized and hence the queue problems.

  • Balance Carry Forward Business Rule in Waiting Status

    Hi ,
I have created a Business Rule for Balance C/f.
When I run this Rule from Data Manager using Run Package, this goes in waiting status.
How I can resolve this issue.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sanjay

    Diksha-
Account  transformation  is different from  CF Bussiness rule,  This you  can clearly see by the    properties it uses..
for ex: CF  BR uses  your "year"  property of the time  dimension  , to figure  out which "Monthnum"=12  from prev year shld be  carry forwarded  to  the monthnum=1  of this year...
hence  irrespective  of  the timeprd you run in  a current  fiscal year, its  always  last  years last  month  which  gets  copied over to this year  first month...which you have already  seen..
Regarding  account trnasformation...you dont have    this  complexity...
This  is  mainly helpful  when you  have  FLOW  dimension(  one  of the main uses)..
    hope this helps..
    Vishal..

  • Apps stuck in 'waiting' status

I've seen a few similar posts, but adding mine here.  iPad2 software version 5.1 - last two days, app downloads and updates stuck in 'waiting' status.  Tried signing out, powering off and back on, and then signing back in, but no luck.  Works fine when syncing through itunes on computer, but no luck with cloud downloads or over wi-fi from app store.  Also automatic cloud downloads aren't pushing to iPad.  Help us Apple!!!!

First, Apple isn't on these forums, so your'e just writing your fellow users here.  Second, Apple servers are overloaded with new users updating to their new devices, downloading new apps, etc.  Give it a few days to settle down, but you're just seeing the fact that there are more users than the servers can handle at one time.

  • Work item in waiting status incase of multiple approvers

    Hi Experts,
We have a scenrio where in the work item needs to be sent to multiple approvers.
We have multi line container element which contains all the approvers. We have assined this container element using the expression option for the agent .
we have made the task as general task and we do not have any requested start maintained for this work item.
However we are facing a problem. Work item is always in waiting status. What might be the issue? In our case when i check the work flow log, for these work items there are three approvers, however SBWP inbox is appearing only for one approver and remaining two approvers do not have any Icon against their name.
I have checked the approvers ID's and all of them are active in the system.
Can you please help me to resolve this issue?
    Regards,
    Madhu

    Hello,
I would look at the workitem in SWIA, proceed as if you were going to change the container elements (ie click on the workitem number, Edit > Change) and see what options are available to you.
"Resubmit: You can have a work item resubmitted to you for processing at a later date. To do this, choose Resubmit and then enter the date on which you want to receive the work item."
Let us know what you find.
Edited to add: I tried it myself, a "End resubmission" button appears when you click on the Waiting step in the workflow log.

  • Work item struck in 'Waiting Status'.

    HI All,
I have a problem with SRM custom workflows for PO and Invoice approval. Work flow has started but stuck in the status "waiting" at the first step 00002 "Parallel Section Between Approval "
I've checked SWPC (continue workflows after crash) and SM58 (RFC connections), but its not in either.
Can any one tell why work items are going into waiting status?
    Its very Urgent.
    Thanks,
    Shiva

    Hi,
Sorry, I'm not familiar with SRM related matters. Can I just check with you if the task in the workflow is an 'Wait for Status Change' kind of activity? E.g. WS12300111 (ECC 6 Leave workflow).
If so, you may want to simulate in your test server, and run program RSWWCOND to see if the workflow will continue. Not too sure if this will help you.
    Regards,
    Damien

  • Download app store apps stay in "wait" status

Since i updated to ios 5.0.1 everytime i try to dowload an app or update an app form the app strore, the download proces will stay in "wait" status. I've tryed now 3 times to reset my ipad2 but with no effect

This might help as well. Sign out of your account on the iPad, restart the iPad and then sign back into your account.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID - tap on the ID and sign out.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Then go to Settings>Store>Sign and sign back in. See if you can resume the download - or see if it starts up on it's own. Try tapping the icon it try to resume the download.

  • Spool  was in waiting status for 10 mins

    Hi all,
when i try to issue any print from sap , Spool  was in waiting status for more than 5 mins & then it starts begins formatting output type ...
    Please help me .
    Regs ,
    Murthy

    hi,
If you are having frequent problems with delayed processing of spool requests and/or spool work processes waiting for communications time-outs, then you may want to run your spool work processes with the R/3 developer trace switched on.
Activate the developer trace by setting the option rdisp/TRACE in the system profile or by adding the TRACE option to the command line with which an SAP application server is started. These command lines are defined in the SAP start profiles. For more details about this, see Trace Functions and the sections about profile maintenance in the documentation about the Computing Center Management System.
The information in the developer traces is highly technical. However, the trace information should let you or a consultant at least identify the host system and printer that are causing problems.

  • Adpatch in wait status

    Pls help.
My patching has stopped for a long time.
When I used adctrl to show status of the workers, i got this:
    Control
    Worker Code Context Filename Status
    1 Run AutoPatch R115 FIICAT1S.pls Running
    2 Run AutoPatch R115 Wait
    3 Run AutoPatch R115 FIICMSCS.pls Running
    4 Run AutoPatch R115 FIICMT1S.pls Running
Review the messages above, then press [Return] to continue.
Why is 2 in wait status?
What do I have to do to get it working again? The log is not showing anything.
During patching , I changed the database from archivelog to noarchivelog mode. Could this be the problem?
    Thanks

During patching , I changed the database from archivelog to noarchivelog modeDuring or before patching? If you have done this before patching then this should not be an issue.
Check the alert.log file for any errors. Also, verify that your tablespaces have sufficient space.
