Help window pops up without requesting
When I am using control key, the support window pops up without me asking for it to. It is stopping me from using my PC effectively! Can anyone help?

Have you tried a different keyboard? What help window is popping up? Also what is your computer model and what operating system are you using?

Photoshop CS4 Help Window Pops Up For No Reason
This same thing was happening in Photoshop CS3 and I could never figure out why. I figured that since CS4 was coming out, I would buy it, stop using CS3 and the problem would be solved, well it's not. So far, I'm happy with the new program but for some reason, out of nowhere, while working on a photo, the Photoshop Help window (which opens as a web browser window) will pop up for no reason! Today, it popped up over 6 or 7 times and I nearly had to crash the program to get it to stop. I figured this problem would have been solved with the new version since the same thing was happening in CS3 but it hasn't. I'm running a Windows XP-based machine that I built myself about 2 years ago. I have a 512mb ATI Raedon X1650 video card and have 4GB of RAM so this machine has far more than enough power to run the program. I updated my video and mouse drivers prior to installing the program. Anyone else have this problem?
Thanks for pointing that out. It really happens very rarely, but when it happens, it's quite a huge annoyance.
Well I have about 3,5GB RAM on a Windows Vista 32 Bit system (hence just 3,5 instead of the full 4GB), with the OpenGL options activated, and maybe over 100GB of free HD space (that'll never be a problem, but since swapping is not used by all modules, I often bump into RAM problems when using tools like auto-aligning layers or stitching panoramas) and 2,5Ghz core duo on a notebook. The Windows swap file is also "just" 4GB...but I found more than 4GB to be a bit extreme.
RAM usage is set to 56% right now (916MB), cache levels is set to 6
After restart, everything runs fine again, I hope the help screens leave me alone.
I didn't know this is since v. 7! I worked with all versions since 5.0 and since becoming a freelancer also bought every version since 6.0 except 7. I only experienced this bug in this and the previous version. Maybe my hardware doesn't keep pace with PS anymore -
All Photoshop versions - Multiple Help Window Pop Up bug
I've seen this question appear every few years and be dismissed, so I know I'm not the only one getting this bug, and it's not completely debilitating but it sure is irritating and I can't see why it's never been fixed.
What happens is when you're on the color picking window, when you're selecting a color sometimes it will create a cascade of non-stop Help windows until the browser crashes or throws up warning messages.
This behavior has happened to me through every iteration of Photoshop I've used since back in 1997 or so. I currently use CS6 and it happens every once in a while.
I don't know why it doesn't come up more in discussion because every artist I know who uses photoshop regularly will encounter this problem. Most probably just learn to ignore the problem. I read in your last post that there is now a fix being deployed for CC and newer regarding the legacy "multiple help pages" bug. Is there something being done for earlier versions ? I am running Photoshop CS 5.1 and just ran into this bug again. If that is of any help, in my particular case it was triggered by the image resizing dialog. Here are a few more details about this occurrence :
- The image resizing dialog was initially brought up through a keyboard shortcut (in my case, ctrl-alt-i, with the ctrl and alt keys from the right-hand side of the keyboard)
- The multiple help tabs showed up in Chrome before I even started to type in my desired image size. I believe that the bug got triggered when I first clicked inside one of the input fields.
- The image being resized was a smart object from a parent document. The .psb of the smart object was being displayed in full-screen mode with floating elements (second mode in the f-cycle)
- I am running a x64 system with 24gigs of RAM, hence I doubt that RAM usage is the issue here. Operating system is Win7pro x64, service pack 1.
I hope this helps, and I am looking forward to a bug fix being deployed for earlier versions, since not every user is on CC. From what I have observed this bug is indeed spread across multiple versions of the program, and well known by power users relying heavily on keyboard shortcuts and fast workflows.

Safari Bug? Help window keeps popping up...
Did a search for this and didn't find anything about this. For some reason whenever i go to click in the Google search in the upper right hand of the window (toolbar) the "Safari Help" window pops up. Usually this is done by pressing f1 but i am nowhere near that button and the batteries for my keyboard/mouse are not low. Whenever i click the X to close safari help it reloads into the same spot. I tried ways around it and even by tabbing to the google search from my address bar will open up that same window. I have no modifications to safari, just the standard install with regular updates. Version 3.1.2 (525.21)
No one else is experiencing this issue. Something is different on your PC.

Can I turn off, or remove myself my iCloud account, without losing all my documents on my iMac? My iCloud window popped up unexpectedly, and am worried about a hacker. When I try and sign out of iCloud, The iCloud window is giving me a message that "If you turn off Documents & Data, all documents stored in iCloud will be removed from this Mac". I have iMac OS X 10.7.5, 2.7ghz, Intel core i5. I don't use my iCloud service, and I somehow my iPhone linked it to my computer by mistake. I don't want the service or need it, & don't want my info in cyberspace. I don't want to lose my documents on my hard drive, and it appears that I haven't used any data in iCloud, as 5GB of 5GB is available. HELP.
I would love to hear that Apple has remedied this problem. From other discussion strings that I am following related to this issue, it seems thus far we remain out of luck. I did discover that if I log onto iCloud.com I can access my files that way. Still, what a pain.
When I got the message re iCloud Drive as I was setting up my phone after the update to iOS8, it said I wouldn't be able to access my files unless all of my devices were running iOS8 OR Yosemite. That message was misleading as it really should have said all devices need to be running iOS8 AND your mac needs to be running Yosemite, as it was not an "either or" situation. So frustrating... -
How to display check box in the search help restriction pop-up window

I have created one searc help with dialog value restrictions. Search help contains 4 fields.
Out of which one field has length one character.
As oon as user press on F4 on particular field, it will display pop-up window with restrictions and displayed 4 fields.

Need help with Windows Migration Assistant, as a window pops up and I don't know what to do?
Hiya, so I just purchased a macbook pro and I want to transfer files using Windows Migration assistant.
However whenever I go to do it, the mac connects to the computer and the computer always stays on 'trying to connect to mac'
and sometimes this windows pops up where it says:
'Email
There is no email program associated to perform the requested action. Please install an email program, or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.'
I'm confused as I have an email program on the pc ( Windows Live Mail)
However I don't know what it means to create an 'association' and I have gone into default programs control panel to try find this associations and have however I don't know how to make this association as I've searched for the program Windows Migration Assistant, however it isn't there and I'm not sure what to do.

HELP. Window pops up on Firefox browser that says JavaScript Application, and under that it says 101. There is an OK bitton. when I click OK, up comes the window again. Then after hitting OK again and box goes away, when I move my mouse the box comes up identically again. I even called Apple support. Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post:

When I open iTunes, this window pops up. "A required component is not installed. Please reinstall iTunes. (-42076)" I have not been able to sync my iPhone after restoring it. Can anyone help?
Download iTunes 11 from the Apple site and reinstall. The error message was quite plain in telling you what to do to resolve the error.

Two problems though. First is in Firefox the location bar with the url to the swf is visible, even though I set location=no as a variable in the code (it works ok in Safari). The window is also resizable in Firefox and Safari even though the variable is set to resizable=no. How can I fix this?
Second problem, even though I painstakingly set the left and top variables by trial and error to get the pop up window to open exactly in the center of the "stage" area of the site, when I post it and view it in a browser, the window pops up lower. When I'm in the fla of the site and I preview it in a browser, it's fine, but for some reason when I post the files online and then open it from http://truetilldeathhq.com/Skiz/main8_v7.html, the pop ups come in lower. Any fixes or advice on this?

I am using the latest ID version with update and I am using a Mac running 10.9.5. This all started when I tried to make a PDF file from a pub I was working on. The application made the file but went into a spinning beach ball and I had to force quit. Now the window pops up when I open ID and also when I am working on a documents.

Im trying to downlaod Aperature but a window pops up saying that the purchase cannot be completed because OS X 10.9 version or later is required? HELP!
What version of OSX are you using, and is this a download from the App store? Have you just bought Aperture or did you previously purchase and if so, from the App Store or from a retail / trial upgrade?

what happens to my photos in revel if the revel folder is deleted on mac or the mac dies etc... Also i have my orignal photos still on my mac and now another copy of them in this revel folder thats a lot of space just what is revel holding ?
