HELP- Windowed mode for call of duty 4

Hi.
I've just brought call of duty 4 for my imac i5.
Does anyone know how i can play this in a windowed mode so i can still do other things on my desktop at the same time.
i've tried the command-d like someone else suggested and that doesn't work.

Single Window Mode for Windows version?

Hey there,
as some might know, there's a "hack" to get Single Window Mode for Safari on Mac. Normally. links with "target=_blank" will open in a new window instead of a new tab. In order to get Single Window Mode, the following code needs to be typed into Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.Safari TargetedClicksCreateTabs -bool true
Unfortunately, this won't work on Windows, so I would like to know if there's another way to have Single Window Mode.

No, there isn't. That feature is not implemented in the Windows version The only way to open targeted links in a new Tab is to Control-click or Right-click on the link and select Open in New Tab from the contextual menu.

I cannot open visualizer in window mode for the new version of iTunes 11.0.

I used to turn on the visualizer in window mode. But since I updated to iTunes 11.0, the visualizer can only be turned on in full screen mode. People said that double-click on a playlist or right-click to show "open in a new window" should work. However, double-click on playlist only allows me to rename the playlist and I didn't find a option of "open in a new window" in right-click pop-up menue as well. Any help?

Hey,
I had actually been wondering the same thing as all I ever read is the old way, of hitting Cmd (Cntrl)+F to enter / exit Fullscreen Moide. Upon reading the Help section in Itunes regarding Shortcuts I discovered that this is now changed to hitting:
Command (Control) + Shift + F .
Hope that helps you or anyone who wasn't aware it changed and was hopelessly stuck in Fullscreen Mode as I was for the past few weeks.

Missing DLC for Call of Duty Advance Warfare

I bought Call of Duty Advance Warfare today but did not get the free DLC, the rep asked my email for the DLC but when it rang up it showed 4.99 for the DLC . I was not sure what the 4.99 charge was but appears that it was for the free DLC.

Xbox controller for Call of Duty 4

Hello Guys, I have been playing call of duty 4 on my mac for a while. I am considering buying a xbox controller to play with. While I have played xbox before I definatly need practice to become good at it. On the other hand I do quite well with mouse and keys. Is the xbox controller going to give me better performance than mouse and keys? Or is it even worth my time. Thanks!

If you buy from best buys download it comes from Digital Rivers which is crap bcuz it takes forever to get the patch or they dont even have all the patches on the site. For instance my sp version is different from my Mp version when they should both b the same. the page that is suppose to have the patches doent even come up any more unless the url has change I havent been able to find it as yet.And if you try to contact DR they ignore your request like you never sent it I have tried this several times with no luck.
Best buy stop using DR goto someone else more reliable when it comes to your downloadable games. I will never buy a game from BB again till they change who they use.

Windows 7 (and Call of Duty 5) causes Macbook Pro to overheat and crash

Is this normal, the fans don't seem to kick in and then probably 10mins in I get a BSOD and memory dump.
The area near the lid is too hot to touch but the fans aren't on at all.
I'm guessing I'm pushing my little Macbook Pro too far?!

Turns out the fans aren't running on any version of Windows I install.
Decided to get rid of Windows altogether and stick to Mac games

WRT160N V1 Open Nat on 3 Xbox 360(s) Possible for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2?

I'm using the Motorolla SB5101 connected to Cable at about 25 Mbps.

So you need to Open NAT on all your 3 XBOX's. Well i don't think its possible, never tried to make the NAT open on 3 XBOX. Yes but 2 XBOX can work with your Router and the NAT will be open on your Router.
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter... Leave Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
On the set-up tab change the MTU Size to 1365 and click Save Settings...
Click on "Administration" tab and disable the option UPnP and click Save Settings...
Click on "Applications and Gaming" tab and then click on "Port Range Forwarding" subtab...
1) On the first line in Application box type in ABC, in the start box type in 53 and End box type in 3074, leave the protocol as both and under ip address type in 192.168.1.20 and check the enable box, click Save Settings once done...
2) Once you return to the set up page click on the Security tab and uncheck Block Anonymous Internet Requests and click on Save Settings...
3)Click on the Status tab and take note of DNS1 and DNS2 Addresses...
4) Goto the XBox Network Settings and IP Address Settings and select manual IP Settings and assign the following on your Xbox , IP Address :- 192.168.1.20, Subnet Mask :- 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway :- 192.168.1.1...
5) Also assign the DNS Addresses on the Xbox, Use DNS1 and DNS2 Addresses you took note off of the router status tab as Primary DNS & Secondary DNS for the xbox...
6) Turn off your modem, router, and Xbox...Wait for a minute...
7) Plug the modem power first, wait for another minute and plug the router power cable, wait another minute and turn on the Xbox and test it...it will connect...
On you need to Assign a Static IP on your 2nd XBOX. the IP address should be 192.168.1.30, Subnet , Default Gateway, and the DNS should be the same as of your 1st XBOX.
On your Router page, under the Application and Gaming tab you need to click on the Sub tab "DMZ" and you need to Enable DMZ and input the IP address of your 2nd XBOX and click on Save Settings...
For your 3rd XBOX you can try to Enable Port Triggering and open the same ports : 53 to 3074 and click on Save Settings...
Now you need to restart your all the 3 XBOX's and check if the NAT is Open.

Best settings for Call of Duty 4 on the new Imac's

Hello all. Not really PC gamer but decided to purchase this game to go along with my new iMac (Early 09 24" 3.06 with GT 130) and Bose speakers..
Just wanted to know if I can play this game at full graphic settings without without any lag of some sort. What settings are you guys using? I must say that it does look good but not as crisp and smooth as the PS3 version, maybe I'm wrong..or have the wrong settings.
Any insights or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

How to get full screen on call of duty after mavericks upgrade?

Can't get a full screen on 27" iMac for Call of Duty after upgrading to Mavericks? Anyone know how?

The double arrows in the upper right hand corner of the window.
or View > Enter Full Screen on your Menu Bar.

hello bestbuy i ordered call of duty 4 modern warfare game of the year edition digital download last night and still today i cannot get the download to start.the downloader keeps saying unable to save file plaese try to save to a different location,i have tried everything i can think of,if anyone can figure out why the downloader wont let me start the download please help,if not please refund my account in full,so i can purchase elsewere.please post a solution thankyou.

However, after digging into your previous issue, we’ve gained some insight into what may be causing this for older PC titles. The M400 has a weak graphics card in it that barely supports Vista's Aero Desktop system. The Intel 945 Graphics Chipset is not fully compatible with DirectX9 dispite what the checks say, some of the DirectX9 work is done via emulation on the CPU.
As for Call of Duty 4, I doubt there is any chance of getting it working let alone a decent frame rate.
I own an M400 and it was one of the things I knew would be a problem when I purchased it.
