HELP WINDOWS 7 WORKING BUT DELETED BOOTCAMP restart to mac info on windows

Hi Everyone,
When loading windows 7 on my Imac it said that the bootcamp drive was not NTSF formatted. It is currently 41g. I reformatted the drive (partition) to get it to load and it deleted the boot camp files. Currently I can use boot camp on the mac side to restart in windows but on the windows side boot camp does not exist and I have to restart and hit option to select the mac side. Anyone know how to force or reinstall the mac software needed on the windows side to select restart in mac? Thank you to everyone for your help.

I am running Windows 7 on a MacBook. When I upgraded my Vista to Win7, I lost all of my BootCamp functionality on Windows. I even lost all of my special function keys. I haven't tried, but I believe that my webcam doesn't work, fails to load the drivers. I read that Apple does not intend to update Bootcamp for Leopard, but are going to come out with an update for Snow-Leopard. So I ordered and installed Snow-Leopard.
However, after being frustrated by the lack of being able to pop back and forth, and not being able to use the F-key functions... I stuck the Snow-Leopard OS disk in while in Windows 7 and installed BootCamp. It did come up with a Known Compatibility issue, but I proceeded anyway. I just did it today and I havent tested everything... but all of my F-Keys work for the Apple functions and I am now able to pop back and forth using BootCamp from Windows to Mac, and vice-versa... Hopefully the updated version will be out soon, along with the drivers for the WebCam...

I keep getting a cricket sound and laugh sound, support said to kill plugin-container.exe which works BUT I just restarts itself later, how do I stop it permanently???

Support told me to just kill the plugin-container.exe to make these sound effect stop BUT when I do it just starts up again later. The sounds are REALLY getting on my nerves and I need a way to turn them off or stop them permanently. Please help. Turning down the speakers is not an option, I need my sound on for other reasons.

The plugin-container process is used to run a few plugins like Flash in its own process instead of via Firefox to prevent crashes in the plugin from taking the Firefox program down.
If killing the plugin-container process works then there is a Flash or other supported plugin running somehow.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Printer connected, printer works, but won't print from Mac

I'm helping someone with a printer problem, and I have a mystery on my hands.
The printer is connected (directly), shows up in the printer list, can print a test page, but won't print any document from this computer (it's fine from my laptop).
It's a Mid-2011 Mini, 2.3Ghz, running 10.7.5. The printer is an Epson WF-2540.
This is a USB printer, connected directly to their Mac.
In "Settings", when you select Print/FAX and print a "Test Page" - Success! This is a process that invokes the Epson Driver directly [and bypasses the MAC print queuing mechanism]
When "Printing" from within any application (firefox, TextEdit, winders...)   The job starts to queue, but errors before engaging the printer.
R & R the Epson Drivers, Clear the Printer "stuff" on the Mac, Reinstall drivers from the Epson website, Mac wants to update the "newest" Epson Drivers (kinda' funny when I think about it...).
Still errors.
I attached directly to a USB port on my MacBook Pro. Download drivers, etc.. Works like a champ!
We have deleted the printer from System Prefs, rebooted, and added it back.
We have even gone into Terminal and...
sudo bash
cd /etc/cups/ppd
ls
found EPSON_WF_2540_Series.ppd
cp * /var/tmp/
ls /var/tmp/*.ppd
rm /etc/cups/ppd/*
Still doesn't work.

Hi, it's not clear... did you Rest the Printing system on the Mac?

In System Preferences>Fax & Print, Right click or Control+click on the Printers list Sidebar, choose Reset Printing System.
if you hold option and click the "-" tab it resets the printing system.

Help! I have somehow deleted safari from my mac!!!

Somehow I have dragged Safari from the dock and onto the desktop without it disapearing in a puff of smoke.
As the icon was still showing in the dock I dropped it in the trash and later emptied the trash.
Now I have no Safari and am having to use real player to access the internet.
What do I have to do in order to get it back?
Have I also lost all my bookmarks?

If you have lost your installation disk to do this, there is a download for Safari at Rapidshare http://rapidshare.com/files/16056640/Safari.zip.html However the last time I posted this it was deleted so maybe that way is not allowed officially. But it works.

You might have better luck go to the developer's website since it appears to be a problem with the app not with the iPod. Also, the developer would know about updates.

Thanks Malcolm - Do you think it might be worth trying to flash the firmware on these cases - there seem to be updaters available on Prolific's website. Obviously I'd have to do it on a PC. I've emailed Prolific asking them about my problem. No reply as yet, and I'm not holding my breath! Do you know if there are any other posts on these boards relating to Prolific? Stupid question really - I'll just do a search...

Safari always crashes on launch after i restart my mac...

and keeps crashing on launch for a few days or a week... then it just launches fine and stays working until i next restart my mac!

After typing a sudo command on terminal how do you save it so you dont have to keep giving that same command every time I restart my mac??

I have a 45mb/s internet at home and my youtube videos load extremely slow, after reading many blogs and empting my cache cleaning my history I stumble across a post that told me i had to block two IP's on the terminal using this two commands: " sudo ipfw add reject src-ip 173.194.55.0/24 in" and "sudo ipfw add reject src-ip 206.111.0.0/16 in" that it should help. After I did that and restarted the mac those commads are undone. Is there a way to save thos commands tipped in the terminal??

I have a new (mid-2011 27" Imac with 2 Thunderbolt ports each driving one 27" Thunderbolt display. The 3 displays work perfectly in OSX Lion but in Bootcamp 4.0 with Windows 7 (64 bit) only 2 screens come up. everything is up to date. Anyonce who can help

checking on the driver in windows is tells me it's the latest and best available. ? In VMware
Windows 7 also works fine over three screens so windows can do it. But I need it natively to
work. (i.o.w. in Bootcamp). Does Anybody know how to solve this, or if Apple is working on a
solution for this ? It really hurts to have one of these expensive screens staring at you being dead.

If you are running Lion or Mountain Lion, the drivers are downloaded from within Bootcamp Assistant. If you are running Snow Leopard the drivers are on your Snow Leopard install disk.

By Toolbar, do you mean the Dock? The Translucent bar normally at the bottom of the screen, but sometimes at the right or left side?
If that's what you mean, the Dock is merely a shortcut to what is already inside the Applications folder's Microsoft Office 2011 folder. If you have Word inside your Microsoft Office 2011 folder, you can drag it back to the Dock.
If you deleted the Microsoft Office folder, or it is empty, you'll have to reinstall it.
If you don't have your registration code, you'll have to call Microsoft for a new one.
