Help!!Windows Crashed...iTunes gone Backing up from iPhone?

Hi guys,
My Windows crashed and hence i lost the data from the iTunes Library and the Contacts.I had synced my iPhone to the iTunes before the crash.
I got all fixed and now i have a running windows machine with iTunes installed but it does not have data.
I have modified the contacts many times after the last sync.
Now i want to get all those details from my iphone to the computer say in OutLook.
Now if i try to sync the iPhone to the new fresh copy of Itunes then will it delete the data from my iPhone which syncing?
OR will it back up the contacts list while sync from my iPhone to the computer?

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I have no backup of my current iPhone apps. The back up is old which could mean, the saved stuff like trophies and levels in the app games for example will go back to the old one, not to mention the important text messages which will be restored into the old one if I synced it, loosing some important written agreements with some clients there and other memorable text messages (a girl who passed away for example). Is there any means of just telling iTune to get the stuff from the iPhone to the iTunes, manually or is there a third-party to do that that lets you see through iPhone as if it was a folder, do things manually and just drag and drop what you like to be saved to iTunes (drag it to the iTunes folder to be put things into its proper folder there)?

can not believe it but did a system restor on windows vister and got it all back you can chose the date you want to restore you computer too and it worked sooooooo happy love it.

Value help window crashes in Analyzer

we recently installed BIW at our client side.
our problem is when we select F4 help from BEx Analyzer the help winodws is crash with error -2147417848
how to resolve this issue?

Macafee security center is may be the culprit.
Open Macafee then: select;
Internet & Network > configure
Firewall > Advanced
Programm Permissions > scroll down to Itunes
Highlight (click on)
Then Grant full access to Itunes.
APPLY then OK
When you select store from Itunes you will need to register with Itunes.
Try that or:
Disable your firewall.

Blank help window for itunes

I updated itunes to 7.01 on imac. Now the help window for itunes is blank. Help windows in other applications are fine

I, too, just installed iTunes update to 7.0.1 and there is no iTunes help. It can be selected from the drop-down menu at the top of the Help Viewer window, and the iTunes categories are there, but selecting a category gives me an error message with suggestions on how to enter search words!
When the most simple functions such as this fail to work I am just beyond words.

Have you not got a backup of your content ? iTunes will only copy back purchases that you made from Apple. For music from other sources you will need to find a program from another source which can copy them back from the phone - if you do a search on google you might find some. Or depending from where you got them from can you re-download them from those sites ?

There are a couple of iOS Backup Extractor programs that can read data from the backup sets. I've not personally tested any so I don't have a recommendation.

HT1414 what settings won't be backed up from iphone to ipad?

I've just wiped my ipad & then chose to back it up from my latest iphone back up. There was a warning on the screen saying "settings will not be backed up if you back up from iphone" what exacty does this mean? I'm not fussed if I have to manually put in my email accounts & passwords but I'm worried about what i've done & what 'wont be backed up to the ipad' have I knackered my new ipad?

It sounds like you've restored Windows on your PC and iTunes is no longer opening and running normally.
I'd recommend using the instructions found at step 4 and 5 in this article to repair or remove/reinstall your iTunes installation:

Had you read the instructions in the link provided, you wouldn't be asking.
All iPhoto photos are stored in a package. Moving the package to a new location moves ALL iPhoto photos and when selecting the iPhoto library package at the new location to launch iPhoto, iPhoto detects where the new location for the package is stored.
