  • Need help with Outlook 2013 connecting to Exchange server(2010)

    Hi
    I need help with Outlook 2013 and with my exchange server(2010) email account
    After setting up account initially emails come in and than after an hour or two stop. My OWA is working fine with no issues. I have even created a forward rule in OWA to my GMAIL account whch works fine
    However Outlook 2013 is not syncing messages, have difficulty in sending emails sometimes as it takes too long.  In fact the connection also is intermittent. Even if the task bar shows connected to exchange, it seems that is not the case since new emails
    and any emails I compose dont work.  I have trouble shot the issue with my ISP and email service provide, but they havent resolved the issue  I have also done a TraceRoute and that shows no drops or problems to he exchange server.
    Can someone please help me resolve this matter so I can continue to use Outlook 2013( running Windows 8.1) in both my computers which have the identical problem
    Look forward to a solution soon
    Thanks

    Hi Angela
    Thanks for your message
    To answer your questions, please note the following
    a) My account is set up in Cache Mode( not online mode)
    b) I am the only other user on the account
    c) When the connection to the exchange server is broken, I see upon clicking connection tab that there is no information in the box, and when I press reconnect it starts showing "connecting"
    d) When the connection to the server is there, it shows  connection as "established"
    e) Sorry I dont understand th meaning of CAS array in your environment?  Can you pls explain
    Since yday I have been using Outlook 2010 on desktop and Outlook 2013 on my laptop using Exchange 2013 account.  So far all emails are syncing, and I can send emails from both computers. However, I am concerned that the connection can break-off anytime,
    as it has done that in the past on both outlook versions.  The max time it has worked without any problem is 48 hrs and than after that the same issue of not connection, not syncing and unable to send emails happens
    My ISP has checked and there is no network connectivity issues. My email service provider has trouble shot the issue many times, but to no positive results.  I have also changed the profile a few times, but the intermittent connectivity problem hasn't
    been resolved.
    Can you identify the possible causes and more importantly a working permanent solution please
    Thanks
    Mahesh

  • Please Help with my 3G connection nightmare

    Im going to try to explain this without rambling on but i can almost write a novel with this problem.
    Got iphone on the 24 of july. First 3 weeks, phone, email, safari work great. One day, safari goes slow on 3g and/or doesn't connect at all. Reset, restore, reebot..the whole nine yards with phone. Same problem. 3G works for a few minutes, next minute its stuck in connection for a minute at a time and then gives me the messages either..
    "Safari cannot open page because the server is not responding"
    or "Safari cannot open page because the connection was reset which sometimes occurs when the server is busy."
    Called ATT, no help saying 3G network is working fine in area(20 minutes outside boston.) Call Apple tell me to go to genius, tells me to wait for update.
    Remind you that my phone's reception and safari where FANTASTIC for the first 3 weeks. I suggested to both parties that i can read them off the software or setting to see if something was wrong and i was pretty much shushed.
    Then i install update, have full 3-5 bar 3G reception-SAME ERROR MESSAGES. The phone will be fine for a little, then bog down to slower than edge and finally just not connect, same with email.
    Went back to apple and gave me a new phone. This has to fix it right...NO. Call ATT because i am pretty sure its not the phone. They said they sent some updates to the phone and it should be fixed. Worked for maybe a half an hour and same problems.
    I really don't know what to do. I have 5 bar reception, calls seem fine, but safari, or stocks/weather, and email are not working or responding. The only thing i can think of is that after every restore, i sync it back to a backup. DOes anyone know of any sites, or apps or any change that would have caused this? My phone was working great one day, and literally the next day its not working.
    Itunes for some reason did not save certain backups and saved this one specific one i had deleted many times. When i sync phone, it always tells me to transfer app purchases that i had deleted off the phone and itunes. itunes almost seems to not be syncing on the sync if that makes any sense.
    If anyone has any suggestions or help i would GREATLY APPRECIATE and happily go into more detail on specific things. If anyone knows how to take the contacts off my phone and save them somewhere, i will happily restore my iphone to a "new phone" through itunes. and then just add my contacts, music and apps, as if they are going on for the first time because i am pretty sure it is something that is stuck in one of the backups that gets reapplied to the phone everytime i restore it. Or the sim card....
    Thanks you very much in advance.

    I don't know enough about how the SIM cards actually work to know if trading one out would help you. It's probably worth doing as it would be the least invasive "fix." You should be able to get a new SIM card from either an Apple store or your carrier.
    It really sounds like you need to restore your phone as new, but I can understand not wanting to lose your contacts.
    You can download a free 60-day trial of Office Pro 2007 from Microsoft. Here's the page: http://us20.trymicrosoftoffice.com/product.aspx?re_ms=oo&family=officepro&cultur e=en-US. It includes Outlook. Once your contacts are in Outlook, you can restore your phone and then resync your contacts. From Outlook I think you can export your contacts to a format that could be imported into other software. But the problem would be to get it into your iPhone.
    MobileMe is another solution you might want to try. You can do a free trial of it, also -- http://www.me.com. I haven't had the problems with it that others have reported, but I'm using it to push only contacts and calendar entries.
    Sometimes there just aren't easy solutions. I have to get my contacts and my calendar from Lotus Notes. I sync it from Notes on one computer to a Palm Pilot. From the Palm to Outlook on a second computer. Then MobileMe picks it up from Outlook and pushes it to my iPhone. It's not ideal, but it does work after a fashion.

  • Help with very slow connection if apple tv linked to wireless apple keyboard

    My husband and I trying to connect the wireless Apple keyboard to our Apple tv so we can get rid of the pesky and cumbersome Apple tv clicker. However, when we do so, our connection slows to a crawl and we cannot access sites like Netflix et al. We disconnected Bluetooth from our Mac Book Pro as we noticed that the keyboard serves only one master. This did not fix the problem. We are at our wits' end. Your help would be immensely appreciated.
    Oh, and also, I had been thinking of installing AirPort Utilty. Is this a good idea and why do I not see it in the AppStore, only on websites of dubious provenance?
    Thousand thanks,
    J and F
    Er, and while we're at it, why do we need to choose between my apple address and my husband's when we set up homesharing? This is another clunky thing that simply is opaque.

    However, when we do so, our connection slows to a crawl and we cannot access sites like Netflix et al.
    Not caused by the keyboard.  It connects via BluTooth, the video services over eithernet.  They have nothing to do with one another.  There is something else going on.  Have you tried connecting ATV via a wired connection instead of WiFi.
    why do we need to choose between my apple address and my husband's when we set up homesharing?
    Because you can only use one AppleId.  It would be a huge leagal mess if it displayed content from multiple accounts at the same time.  The copyright holders would never allow it.

  • Urgent help with WRT110 Wireless connection

    i have got this wireless router a few months ago.  since i have gotten it, i have only used hard wired to my desktop.  I got a laptop recently, running Vista. I am trying to setup using the wireless with WPA2 personal security.  However, i am not supposed get it to connect.  It told me unidentified network, and it's not going through to the global earth icon under "Network and Sharing Center".
    Now, i have searched solution on google, this is not my first experience setting up wireless, i used to have a WRT54G wireless and it works fine.
    Now i have tried all these procedure below:
    1) Open the setup page of the router and Under the Wireless tab,Click on Advanced Wireless Settings...Change the Beacon Interval to 50,Fragmentation Threshold to 2304,RTS Threshold to 2304 and Click on Save Settings...Also reduce the MTU to 1400 and click on save settings..Now,check.
    2) On all Vista and Win 7 computers, disable IPv6 under the LAN properties for the adapters.
    It still doesn't work.  Can anybody here help me with this issue? thanks alot

    Maybe this will help you but what I do with my adapters when installing is disabling my internet connection, firewall, virus and almost everything. I also turn the internet off then I instal the software. You can try that.cheapest voipcheapest voip callsOSU Beaversfree voip phone calls

  • Help with MySQL/PHP Connection

    Hi,
    I'm making a site that requires the storage of information via MySQL.  I've set up my testing server, and it connects fine.  When I try to add a MySQL connection, however, I keep getting the "HTTP Error Code 404: File Not Found" error.  I've tried using both the MySQL server provided by my web host and one hosted on my own computer (using "localhost" as the server), but both give me the same error.  The error box says that perhaps:
    1) There is no testing server running on the server machine.
    2) The testing server specified for this site does not map to the http://**mywebsite**.com/_mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.php URL.  Verify that the URL Prefix maps to the root of the site.
    I'm certain it's not #1, because both of my MySQL servers work fine outside of Dreamweaver.  But I'm not quite sure what #2 is saying.  Any help?
    Thanks in advance.

    nickf77 wrote:
    I have my testing server set up at my FTP account that came with my hosting package.  Should it not be?
    It's not ideal, but you can do it that way. The principle is still the same.
    When using a remote connection, the value of Host directory is the same as you use for FTP connections to your remote site. In many cases, this is left blank, is simply a forward slash, or is something like public_html. In any event, it's the root level of your website.
    URL prefix is also the root level of your site, but expressed as a URL: http://www.example.com/.
    Host directory and URL prefix must both point to the same place. The first is a path, the second is a web address.

  • Please help with iChat Video connection problem

    Hi,
    I'm having problems getting iChat video to connect with other users. Is there anyone here who can interpret the log for me to diagnose the problem?
    I'm using iChat 4.0.2 (604) on OSX 10.5.2. I'm able to make a test call to the appleu3test01 account but not to anyone else. My computer is behind a firewall/nat that allows all outgoing connections.

  • Help with a HD connection - confused!!

    Hey everyone,
    I'm going to be upgrading our monitors in our graphic design studio from or old CRT's with our Mac Pro's and have opted for a Dell ST2410 24” Full HD Widescreen Monitor. My questions is (as I want to make sure) is what is the best connection to use to take advantage of the full HD capabilities of the monitor? Is the DVI connection HD or is it just the HDMI connection that offers this? Here's the monitor:
    http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs 1&sku=324819
    If you could provide a link to everything I need to buy that would really help me out.
    Thanks!
    Mark

    HDMI and DVI use the same digital video signals, so there's no difference in image quality.

  • Need help with foscam cameras connecting to AirPort Extreme N

    Greetings,
    I could really use some help from the AirPort gurus! I have an AirPort Extreme N base station, with firmware 7.4.2. I purchased a couple of Foscam FI8908W pan and tilt cameras. I am trying to get them to work on my home network, but cannot figure it out. Personally I think it might have something to do with port forwarding, but hec I just don't know. I have tried searching for answers, but came up empty. Here is a copy of the manual for anyone if interested <http://idisk.mac.com/wheelchairguy-Public>. I have been using VMware with XP to try and setup the camera, but the camera is not found with the IP Cam setup software. I thought I might be able to directly connect to my computer with an Ethernet cable, but no go there either. Also no go with an ethernet cable plugged to the camera into the base station. I just have no idea where or what I am doing wrong. If anyone can help me, I would be very grateful.
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi OneCog,
    We're also have broadband connected to TimeWarner. When I first got the camera I tried the same thing and had the same problem. I never read the docs and assume plug and play. So I just plugged the ethernet cable from my laptop to the camera directly and of course my laptop was connected wirelessly to the internet. It doesn't work that easily and don't worry about the cable modem, you never have to touch it's settings.
    I went to the http://foscam.us website and found these instructions that actually worked:
    Foscam IP Camera Instructions
    Software Insallation:
    Install from the Cd the IPCamSetup.exe file OR
    Or download the IPcamsetup.exe file from the website Foscam.us
    a) Go to the website Foscam.us
    b) Click the tool & support section (top middle section)
    c) Click on Download IP Camera Tools (for FI8908W or FI8904W)
    d) Click on IPCamSetup.rar (bottom left corner)
    e) Click on IPCamSetup.exe
    You should now have an IP Camera Tools Icon
    Hardware Installation:
    Plug the Ethernet network cable(grey wire) into the camera then into the router
    Plug the power adapter (black wire)into the camera and then into the power outlet
    Opening the Camera:
    Once` plugged in correctly, double click on the icon IP Camera Tools
    The Camera’s IP address will appear, double click on it to open the camera

  • Need help with Thin JDBC connecting Oracle to SQL server.

    I am fairly new to JAVA. We have ORACLE 8.1.7 running on Solaris 8. I have a need to
    periodically extract data from ORACLE DB and transfer it to SQL Server. I am limited to
    moving data from the ORACLE/UNIX environment to SQL Server side.
    From what I have read, Server-side Thin driver should work.
    1) Are there any issues in trying to achieve this with ORACLE running on the UNIX platform?
    2) Will the Server-side Thin driver talk to both the DBs ?
    3) Is it possible to provide some sample code ?
    Thanks in advance,
    Solomon

    Quattro,
    I had complete success in reading from Oracle and writing to SQL Server. First of all let me thank you for all your help. I do have one last request. Its more on optimization than any thing else.
    I was trying to optimize my code by grouping both the connections in one place and to keep my reads and inserts together so that I don't commit at the end of each insert etc. I don't seem to have the scope rules under control yet. Could you suggest how to improve this:
    import java.sql.*;
    public class Test_Combined2 {
    public static void main(String args[]) throws SQLException {
    // Load the Oracle JDBC driver
    DriverManager.registerDriver(new oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver());
    // Connect to the database
    // You must put a database name after the @ sign in the connection URL.
    // You can use either the fully specified SQL*net syntax or a short cut
    // syntax as <host>:<port>:<sid>. The example uses the short cut syntax.
    Connection con2 = DriverManager.getConnection ("jdbc:oracle:thin:@Test:1521:PSDEVElOP",
    "SOLOMON","SOL1");
    // Create a Statement
    Statement stmt2 = con2.createStatement ();
    String url = "jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://INTRADEV:1433;DatabaseName=Measure";
    Connection con;
    String query = "select dataYear, dataMonth, yieldRate from tblYield " ;
    Statement stmt;
    try {
    Class.forName("com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver");
    } catch(java.lang.ClassNotFoundException e) {
    System.err.print("ClassNotFoundException: ");
    System.err.print(e.getMessage());
    // Select the ENAME column from the EMP table
    ResultSet rset = stmt2.executeQuery ("select year_start, monthofyear, percent_comp " +
    " from ps_usm_ytd_yield ");
    // Iterate through the result and print the employee names
    while (rset.next ()) {
    System.out.println (rset.getFloat (3));
    int ps_dataYear = rset.getInt(1);
    int ps_dataMonth = rset.getInt(2);
    float ps_yieldRate = rset.getFloat(3);
    try{
    con = DriverManager.getConnection (url, "tmpuser","tmppush");
    stmt = con.createStatement();
    PreparedStatement insertTblYield;
    String insertString = "insert into tblYield " +
    " values(?, ?, ?)";
    //con.setAutoCommit(false);
    insertTblYield = con.prepareStatement(insertString);
    insertTblYield.setInt(1, ps_dataYear);
    insertTblYield.setInt(2, ps_dataMonth);
    insertTblYield.setFloat(3, ps_yieldRate);
    insertTblYield.executeUpdate();
    con.commit();
    //con.setAutoCommit(false);
    /*ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery(query);
    System.out.println("dataYear, dataMonth, yieldRate");
    while (rs.next()) {
    int dataYear = rs.getInt(1);
    int dataMonth = rs.getInt(2);
    float yieldRate = rs.getFloat(3);
    System.out.println(" " + dataYear + ", " + dataMonth + ", " + yieldRate);
    stmt.close();
    con.close();
    } catch(SQLException ex) {
    System.err.print("SQLException: ");
    System.err.println(ex.getMessage());
    } //while
    stmt2.close();
    con2.close();

  • Can any one help with poor LTE connection with new iPad?

    I wrote yesterday about my new iPad 4g LTE. I have it in Verizon and I am using it from home which is only 3G Verizon coverage. Often, ( like every minute), it will lose all ability to use the cellular connection. I will then have to wait for about another minute for the service to come back. Is this a Verizon issue or the iPad itself?
    Also, went thru  a 4g area while on the interstate and would completely lose connection around corners, etc. can the iPad not use 3G towers and 4g towers back and forth? Really upset about this! Anyone else having this issue? Help!

    If I restore as new without the backup & everything seems to be fine, I assume I would then have to restore it from my latest backup in iTunes in order to get all (or at least most) of my data back.
    From what I have read, it looks like at least the music I have on my iPhone 4S that I put there from a CD I own would not be in my backup.  That is not a major problem, since it is only 1 CD.
    It also seems like the iTunes backup is more complete than the iCloud backup (I do have both).
    So, I should probably be restoring from that backup.
    Is there anything else that is not backed up in an iTunes backup that I should consider before I do that?
    When I backup in iTunes (or even in iCloud), some items not backed up?
    Wouldn't I then have to re-install those items that are not in my backups?
    I have a Medical app from my local ambulance operator where I have taken a ton of time to input all of my medical information going back numerous years.  I just got tired of some medical person constantly asking me for information one never really makes a point of remembering.  Now, I have all of that information in my iPhone 4S.
    There is no way I would want to reinstall that app & re-input all of that information again.
    I also put a lot of "lists" in the Notes area on my iPhone 4S.
    I understand that is also something that is not backed up.
    These are just 2 examples.
    I also have other items that I am under the impression also are not backed up.
    Losing any of that information would be a huge burden to recover.
    I am willing to take a chance with some items that are not backed up to either iTunes nor iCloud.
    But, knowlingly doing something that may lose that information is not something I am willing to do.
    OR, am I just not understanding what is and is not backed up in iTunes or iCloud & what I could potentially lose?

  • I need some help with Portal - LDAP connection

    Hello...
    Can some one please help me with an issue I have when I try to connect a Portal in version EP6.0, with an LDAP, I go to System Admin --> System Config --> UM Config --> LDAP Server, Test the connection, it's successful, then restarted the server, but I still can't see the users at the LDAP.
    Hope some one can help me soon.
    Miguel

    Hi Miguel,
        After Configuring LDAP to UME portal,You need to create users in the LDAP.Then only you can see the users when you go to user admin->users->search for the user
    1. What happens when you give * to search users?
    2. Are you sure that you have mapped attributes of the user properly in data source configuration Xml file..
    3 Which LDAP server you are using.
    Cheers

  • Help with a mouse connection issue.

    I'm having trouble with my toshiba optical mouse with blue tooth.. I've been trying to get ahold of tech support, but all they do is tell me to go online, where there's absolutely nothing helpful.  I've tried online, I've tried tech support (and from other posts I viewed, I see I'm not alone with my view of tech support), and all I want to do is get my mouse reconnected to my computer.. It lost it's connection not too long ago, and I am unable to get it to reconnect.
    If anyone knows where I could go to get actual helpfull information on the subject, it would be much appreciated!
    Thanks

    Which computer? Which Windows? Which model bluetooth optical mouse?
