Help with a frozen phone!
My Blackberry is frozen... I can see phone calls but my screen is black and none of my keys work! I have done a hard reset and also tried to downgrade the software as a fix and NOTHING is working. Can anyone help me!
Same issue. I took my phone to Verizon and they told me to contact the warranty department, as the phone is no good. Such a pain, I have enabled content protection so I can't even seem to back it up to my desktop. Oh well, eventually I will learn not to depend on my phones!

Can anyone help with my frozen phone?
I left my phone synching and came back to a frozen phone. It is showing the little plug reaching for the Itunes logo on the screen. I can not reactivate it even by pressing sleep/wake or the home button. I can't get the slider to appear on the screen. No matter what I push it comes back to that screen.
Itunes will not recognize my phone at all. I tried rebooting my PC and moving the USB cable to a different slot. I assume at this point I need to reset and reinstall the backup but I can't figure out how to do that when Itunes can't even find my phone.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? This seems to happen to me periodically but I have always been able to reset it in the past. FWIW, in addition to synching when I left it, I had also indicated that it could install 3.1 but when I got back it said that the installation didn't work.
I appreciate any advice. Thanks!Thank you all for your advice. I ended up connecting the phone to my laptop and restoring it (reseting it) through that version of Itunes. Then before it synched I reconnected it to my desktop and was able to synch with the latest backed up version.
I have a feeling something is not right with my desktop USB connections as this has happened more than once. Thanks for your help! -
HT1296 Need help with sync from phone to computer
When I sync my phone to my laptop, I would like info I entered on the calendar on my phone to be added to the calendar on my computer. I can only get it to sync from computer to phone. I need to update both
any ideas. I have searched the help files and can't find this anywhereMy problem is similar. I just upgraded from the 4S to the 5 and I used to be able to sync the calendar on my iMac and iPhone using iCloud without getting duplicates by selecting/deselecting the appropriate calendars on the respective devices. Everything synced as I entered it.
I'm pretty sure it was working with the 5 until recently...
Today I noticed that an event I entered on the 5 for last week didn't show up on my iMac. When I checked the EDIT screen on the phone to see what calendars were checked, only the calendar for that event was (on the All on my iPhone). All but the Unfiled calendar are checked on the All on my iCloud. When I unchecked and rechecked the calendars under the Phone didn't help. Can't get the thing to sync...

With iOS6, iPhone and iPad users will see that their Send & Receive iMessage settings have updated across their devices to be made available at both phone numbers and email addresses. You may have also seen alerts on one or more of your devices advising that another device is now using the same Apple ID/phone number for iMessage.
Being able to be reached on iMessage on both Apple ID and phone numbers across devices means that iMessage can keep the same thread and sync across devices.
Due to having 2 iPhones on different phone numbers running along side my iPad at one time, (whilst I was waiting for my phone number to be moved to a new provider), my iMessage settings on my iPad lost my phone number completely. I thought I would document the steps to recover this for anyone in the same boat.
1. Check that you are signed in with the same iCloud Account on both iPad and iPhone.
2. Turn off iMessage on your iPad from Settings > Messages.
3. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. You should see your phone number and your iCloud email address in the 'Your can be reached by iMessage at:' list. Make sure both are ticked.
4. At this point, I synced my iPhone with iTunes, then synced my iPad with iTunes.
5. On your iPad, turn iMessage back on - your phone number should now show in the 'You can be reached by iMessage at:' list. Tick the phone number. You should receive an alert on your iPhone.
This should resolve the issue.
With the above set up and with the iOS 6 updates, iMessage should now sync fine across devices however I have still found the most successful way to run iMessage is to always start new conversations from your Apple ID and to start new threads by addressing the first message to an Apple ID from an Apple ID.
To do this, go to Settings > iMessage > Send & Receive and tick your Apple ID in the 'Start new conversations from:' list, then start a new iMessage thread to the recipients Apple ID. This way, the thread will sync across iPad and iPhone. Note that a thread set up this way will not fall back on SMS, so you get a clean iMessage thread. This method also worked/works on iOS 5, as long as you send the first message of a new thread from an iPad (which can only send via Apple ID) to an Apple ID.

iCloud is temporary storage - limited to 1,000 photos and 30 days for each photo.
Photos/videos in your iPhone's Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera especially before installing an iOS update. -
Help with syncing my phone after taking it off auto-sync
I turned off my automatic sync on my iPhone 5 (the option in the Summary that says "Allow this device to automatically sync when plugged in" or something like that) and now when I plug it into my Macbook Pro, it doesn't appear anywhere on my iTunes. I even checked on File > Devices and the menu options to sync it isn't clickable. Help!
Yes. Problem is, I don't believe there's any way to get the existing contacts into Google contacts.
If you set up the phone to sync your contacts to Google, you'll notice when you look at groups in your contact list on the phone (assuming it worked) that you have separate groups for contacts from your computer and contacts from Google. You can't move contacts from one list to another on the phone.
In iTunes you'll see there are options for what application you want to sync your contacts with. If you have a Windows machine, you can sync to Outlook or Windows address book. You may be able to extract the contact list on the phone by turning this on in iTunes.
WARNING: If you're going to do this, make sure you have at least 1 contact in the program you're going to sync to. If you do, it will ask you if you want to merge them. If not, the phone will be overwritten with the blank address book from the computer. -

Help with ios6 upgrade - phone not working at all!
I was upgrading my iphone 4 to ios6 over wifi and got to the point where the screen shows the usb connector and itunes symbol. I plugged it into itunes, but keep getting the error message that the iphone software update server couldn't be contacted. I've tried again and again for well over an hour, and have even tried a master reset on my iphone. I also followed itunes' recommendations and updated windows and turned off my anti-virus software, which I've never had to do before. I keep getting an error message whenever i try to update itunes or get itunes to recognize my iphone. Nothing works. Please help - as of now i don't even have a phone!
Well I guess its good to know im not the only one. My son was able to do his touch with no problem. But my phone is on its 2nd reset. lovely.. an andriod is sounding better and better.

My iPhone 4s was stolen from me today in the post offfice. I dont have the find my phone ap as I dont go out that often being disabled. I noticed it was missing within 5 minutes and called it from a shop phone, It went to voicemail. EE blocked it for me and I do have a 4 digit passcode on it. I have the latest version of ios7 as someone said this may help.
All my family photo's are on there including ones of my recently deceased grandad which im deverstated about.
My mac book pro seems to think it knows my phone as I've tried the find my phone app on it but it says its offline. Is there anyway I can trace it?The Find My iPhone app has nothing to do with this. The Find My iPhone app can be used by you to locate another iOS device you own or your Mac using your iPhone, or someone else that lost their iPhone or iOS device can use the app on your iPhone to locate their iPhone or iOS device.
Having Find My iPhone enabled with your iCloud account settings on the iPhone determines if you can locate your iPhone with Find My iPhone with the app on another iOS device or by logging in with your iCloud account with a browser on your computer.
If the iPhone is powered off, it can't be located with Find My iPhone. -

So my i phone 4s wont charge unless its turned off but it will charge but it wont read on my laptop usb or any one elses so no i tunes reset , its just been a hassle i dont have icare and the back glass panel has a thin singular crack and the lock buttons broke so my dad said sprint wont fix it On top of all this my lock button is broken so i can even do a hardware reset , an since this is a hammy down phone i dont know the security code to do the manual reset from the general settings so help please i have alot of stuff to do since im still having schooling and i need it fornot only social interactions but a organizer pleaseeee help me figure out what to do?!?!

My bt setup is quite simple and it works ok except that for tidyness I want to move the phone nearer to the electric socket which it also needs to be plugged into. Unfortunatly there is not one near the master socket. I have tried an extension lead but this creates severe crackling and noise on the line.
I have the Master socket with the phone and one extension running off the face plate to an extension socket upstairs which the Home Hub is plugged into. I have tried to connect the phone to this extension socket but it won't dial out. It will only work where it is plugged into the master socket.
My question is how can I wire an extension or socket for the phone without having to ask BT to move the Master socket.
I have tried myself to connect a NTe5a Master Socket box in place of the extension socket upstairs. The hub works ok but the phone will still not work in this setup.Alright. Let's see if I can' work out a small tutorial for everyone.
To begin, yes you can sync your Razr with your Address Book. What you need to do is go into the Bluetooth Preferences and "Setup Bluetooth Device". You then walk through the process. Beforehand you will need to turn Bluetooth on on your Razr and set it to "Find Me" or discoverable. Then procees with the Bluetooth Setup Assistant.
It will create a profile in iSync and will allow you to Sync phone numbers that are in Address Book.
To add a ring tone to your phone, as long as you are the legal owner of the song, what you will need to do, is obtain a Sound Editing Program. I've paid for mine, and I'm not sure if there are free or shareware applications out there. I use Amadeus because it's rather simple.
1) Open Song in Amadeus or sound editing applicaiton.
2) Select a 20 second blurp that you like and copy and paste that sound clip into a new file within Amadeus (or other App).
3) Then Save that new file with the following settings:
MP3
64kbps
Mono
Quality:Normal
Save that file somewhere you know where it is at.
You then want to click on "Browse Device" after you have selected the Razr in the Bluetooth prefs.
It will bring up the structure for your Bluetooth device to include Audio, Pictures, and a Movies folder.
Simply drag and drop that new file you just created over to the Audio folder.
