Help with AE CS6 error: crash in progress
Hello,
I get this error every time I try to create a new folder in the "output to" window in the render tab.
I've never ran into it prior to today.
The composition is a 12 second title with an animation preset - In Hebrew (if it matters for some reason).
I'm trying to render in mpeg2 with default settings but it happens even when trying other formats such as H.264, and the error occurs when attempting to create a new folder
The AE is part of my Production Premium CS6 and I'm using Windows 7 64bit Ultimate.
Anyone have an Idea of how to fix this error?

Well, first of all I'm using the automatic updates and actually I just recently had one installed (I'm asking for notifications). (B.t.w- where can I check which updates are installed on my Adobe products)
I don't think it has anything to do with the Hebrew (I never use Hebrew in file paths' names) and I also have an update- Premiere cs6 also crushes when I try to create a new folder in the exprot window. No message like after effects though.
This only happens when attempting to create a new folder - otherwise export works fine.

i update all graphics update and CUDA also.
i connect into my graphic card setting and its show the program open with the graphic card.
nothing change.
i also try to install adobe media encoder but the system shot down without any reason.

What is the exact version number of your After Effects? And before you say, "CS6", I mean the exact version number, such as 11.0.4
What are the specs of your machine?
And any other information you think might be useful to know. -
My after effects cs6 takes too much time to start than yesterday and during loading it throws the error message,
'After effects error: Crash in progress. Last logged message was: <5316> <DynamicLink><5> C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\dynamiclink\CS6\dynamiclinkmanager.exe'
I am getting this message after deleting any previous preferences and uninstalling and re-installing the application.
System specs are:
Core i5-2500 3.3ghz
12GB ram
64-bit windows OS
No external graphics card
I am in the middle of my work on a short movie and need urgent help.

And, if that's not it, fixing permissions problem that impedes start of Adobe applications
And, if that doesn't help, what version of Windows? What, exact, version of AE? (Is it 11.0.4 or is it an earlier version like 11.0.1?)
Posting the crash log might help too.
Can you think of what you did between it working correctly and no longer working? Have you downloaded any codec packs? Updated any software? Updated your OS? Updated or added any antivirus or anti-malware software? Etc. -

I've been searching the help forums but have been unsuccessful in finding the same error that I have been getting and a possible solution.
This is the error I get:
AE error: Crash in progress. Last logged message was <2524><unconstrainFPSifAppropriate><5> setting ADBE Video FPS constraint off.
What does this mean and how can I resolve it?
I am working on an HPZ600 workstation, running windows, using After Effects CS5.

Source footage is from a Canon 7D shot against a green screen at 60 fps.
Next step is Keylight and rendered out at 60 fps.
These clips are then changed to 30 fps using the Interpret Footage dialogue panel and imported into a 30 fps comp.
Problems seem to come when animating the "source Point" in Shine.
Sometimes After Effects crashes and reports: <unconstrainFPSifAppropriate><5> setting ADBE Video FPS constraint off.
Other times it just hangs with the spinning beachball and I have to force quit.
It may be coincidental but the problems seem to be happening since I tried to update to 10.0.2 using the retail update.
This updater did not complete and Adobe Application Manager gave the following dialogue:
"Some updates failed to install.
Update is not applicable".
As yet I have had no response to a post I made regarding the update problem on this forum 4 days ago or from a bug report sent to tech support.
I've tried trashing the preferences but that hasn't fixed the problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

I 've jost got "After Effects error: Crash in progress. Last logged message was <2160> <ae.blitpipe> <2> rect t:0.000000 I:0.0000000 w:1374.00000 h:533.00000
This was rendering a 4K video (4096x2304) with H264 compression. I think I had around a GB of free virtual memory. Is it just that it needs more memory - do I just need to increase the virutal memory - would increasing it by a GB or so fix it? It's currently 3616 MB.

No. Not at all. The error is prety clear, actually:
w:1374.00000 h:533.00000
These are not valid dimensions for any MPEG-based output, since they need to be multiples of 2,4,8,16 and so on. Now I'm sure you set up the actual render correctly, but that info is coming from somewhere, so check if not a specific plug-in is causing this or your source footage may be damaged...
