Thanks for your reply. This is a DBA create user tool, management wants to provide the application administrator ability to create DBA users only for this database. The application is built so users with certain private synonyms assigned can see data, those without do not. It is a customized COTS app, I would never design like that.
I do not agree with it, not my decision. I built a shell menu and scripts but that is not GUI enough for this boss. At first It looked like a simple APEX app. I am finding that APEX is more a reporting tool based on objects and I will continue to use it for that. I am learning lots about it so that is cool.

Help with access control please
So I'm trying to set up my brother's PSP to the wirless network through MAC address timed access. What I want to do is make it so that he can only access it through certain times in the day. I'm having troubles with actually getting it to work. Everytime I set it up, the PSP only show's up as a DHCP client and not a Wireless client. I tried the option panel with the add wireless clients through the first try access. Could I get some help with this issue please? Thanks!

I had registered all my details with the app world, and i was able to download apps for a while but now i am not able to access apps to download because my log ins are now invalid i have been told, i have tried to reset my password and it told me to enter my security question answer and i have tried to enter it but it will not refresh to let me answer the question. I need help with this script please ASAP

Hi, i really need some help with my pictures, I've only got a very basic understanding of how my phone works and have somehow put a load of albums on my phone when i plugged it into the computer-I want to delete some of them off the phone but cannot work out how to do it, when i plug my phone in i can find the photo tab but cannot actually see the pictures and can't see any delete button!!! Please can someone help me, basic explanations would be gratefully recieved xxxx
The photo sync is one way: computer to phone. To remove photos, synced to your phone, remove the check marks next to the albums/folders under the photos tab in itunes & hit the apply/sync button. They will be removed from your phone. You cannot delete photos that were synced to your phone, directly on your phone. The easiest way to manage photos synced to your phone is to create albums or folders on your computer. Move whatever photos you want on your phone into these albums/folders & then select them under the photos tab in itunes to sync to your phone. You can then remove or add photos to these various albums/folders on your computer & the itunes sync process will update your phone every time you sync.

Need help with screen zoom please
I just upgraded from Tiger to Leopard. When I had the old Tiger software installed, I was able to zoom in and out on my screen by holding down the Control key while scrolling with my mouse. But since I installed Leopard (not Snow Leopard, since I am using a G5 Tower PowerPC), this key combination no longer works. This former screen zoom feature is important to me because I am a graphic designer with a neurological condition (tremors in my hands) that makes selecting fine points in graphic applications (like Illustrator) difficult unless I zoom in to make selection points larger and more manageable. Note: using Illustrator's magnifying glass feature does not help me, because the select points still stay small when I magnify and image, but using the old screen zoom method made the points larger and easier for me to select. Can anyone help me?
F.Y.I. I also updated my trackball drivers as well, but my trackball preference settings did not change.Thanks for your input. I hear what you are saying. I have found a couple of applications that worked better with my old Tiger system than with Leopard. When I contacted the developers of these mis-behaving apps, I learned that while Intel machines seem to have no problem with their app's Leopard updates, they do report problems with those of us who still use our old big honking tower PPC's. Maybe that is what I am experiencing here.

A week ago I was on Option 1 but due to heavy use my speed was reduced to 15.7k/sec !.I was advised to upgrade to Option 3 which I promptly did and that was done on the 29th(last week).
My speed though is still 15k/sec and I cannot watch any streaming video or BBC News Channels etc
Would some kind gentleman please look into it for me and advise.......thankyou

Slow MBP... Help with EtreCheck Results please?
Problem description:
My MBP is running incredibly slow! For instance, just typing sometimes bogs the system down, and it definitely cannot handle multitasking like it used to, or open programs quickly.
In June of 2014 my Hard Drive crashed. It was under Apple Care and they replaced it. I lost Apple Care in July, and since June it has progressively gotten slower. When Yosemite came out, I reformatted my computer as new and restored from an external hard drive back up. I have watched the activity monitor and the RAM doesn’t seem to be under any pressure (solid green all the way across), and the CPU doesn’t seem to go that high either (50%). I have tried all the initial steps of uninstalling what I thought could be slowing it down (i.e., Norton and some other things) in addition to taking away all start up programs except dropbox.
I'm willing to do just about anything to get this computer through another 18 months... and if someone could find a way to get 36 months out of it I'll give you a million points.

P.S. Had a little issue with Carbonite a while back. I think it is taken care of though.

Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS. Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term. Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default. You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. Usually with the same name as the program or the developer. The item generally has a ".pkg" extension. Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications. Here is a selection:

Help with Magellan Compass please
I have Magellan compass. Bought it, can't get it to work but am persevering. Can anyone tell me how to get to a place on the map. I know where I want to go. A camp site for instance, I know the location, I can see it, but I do not know the site name or the co-ordinates. I try to mark the position by touch (as with other navigation programmes, and tell the programme I with to navigate to that place), but Magellen gives me no option to do that.
The manual is worse than useless. Lots of information how to use poi, but what if you don't want to go there? I just want to select a place and navigate to that place.

It's too bad you're having so many problems with this app. I love everything about it. I think your expectation levels are out of line actually. It's NOT a SAT NAV device like a dedicated GPS unit is - keep that in mind. You use a Wi-Fi device right (not LTE) Which means you have to initially have Wi-Fi to download and cache your maps, or else have a smartphone with Wi-Fi connectivity to do things on the fly. Also, you do realize that when BlackBerry 10 starts to ship you will be getting some form of BlackBerry Maps from Tom Tom on the PlayBook right? So if this particular app isn't for you, then wait for a while until the new stuff comes out with the new OS.

Help with Update failure please
I have Adobe Photoshop CC running on win 7 64 bit. When doing the latest batch of updates one keeps failing with the error message "Adobe CSXS Infrastructure 4 Installation Failed Error Code U44M1P7" Can anyone help with this?

I had since been researching this on the web and it seems it is a very
common fault which has not always been fixed by the full re-install
advocated by Adobe in the link you kindly provided. I therefore decided
to keep trying for a couple of days before resorting to such a drastic
solution.
After several failures to get CSXS Infrastructure 4 to install, both via
the CC Desktop App and from the "Help" menu within Photoshop CC, I had
one more try this morning and this time it seems to have installed
without a hitch. I have no idea why, as I have made no system changes,
but for now I do seem to have solved the problem as my installation of
Photoshop CC is now reporting that it is fully up to date.

Any app store or market place for apps usually do not have access to your billing account even though it is loaded onto your phone it is supported by a different vendor other than Verizon which doesn't have access to charge your bill. This is how it is for the Android market when purchasing an app.

I am a novice and have just completed my first animated movie. I need help with action script.
The movie is currently looped and I have created and invisible button the size of the frame with the intention that a user can click on the movie image to stop it and on second click continue the movie from where it stopped.
I have used the AS event handler method to stop the movie. I have tested it and it works. But I cannot figure suitable code to restart the movie.
Two questions;
1. am I going about the task the right way? (should I use two buttons, one stop, one start)?
2. if my approach is feasible, can anyone give me the correct AS to re-start the movie and put me out of my misery please?you can use the following after changing "yourbutton" and "yourmovieclip" to use suitable instance names:
