HELP with animation for buttons (i tried to search for days for solution)

i've been trying to look at the threads here for a solution but i just can't find... can someone please help me???
i'm designing a website in flash8... now i have created some buttons, and i want that when i click on the button stars will fly from them and there will be a sound... i have already created the animation of the stars seperatly and it's in the library, i have also the sound file.... i just can't remember how to put everything together.... can someone please remind me what to do step by step so when i'll press on the button the stars will be flying from the button and the sound will play??? pleaseeeeeeeee, it's very very important to me... i would be thankful <3

well i have to be honest, but i don't know if it the vista you use has any significance for this. but you can try.
okay follow:
1: click "start" on the status line on the buttom of your screen.
2: then click on "all Programs" and find "Accessories" and find the "command prompt"
3: Right click with your mouse "command prompt" and click on "run as administrator"
(as you has click'd on "run as administrator", "command prompt" should appear.)
4: when it appears you need to type this "netsh windsock reset"
5: wait for your computer to registrer the command you gave it, and restart your computer.
then erverything should be pretty much as good or better then new.

I keep getting ' user not register for online ' when trying to get track names for my CD imports for Windows 7 and I'm unable to find a solution.

I can't be certain exactly which steps are going to be needed in each case, but if you work through this in sequence hopefully one of the steps will prove effective.
First try this:
With iTunes closed.
Press the WinLogoKey+R
Type in %appdata% and press return
Double click on Apple Computer
Double click on iTunes
Delete the file CD Info.cidb
Start iTunes and try again.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and try deleting com.apple.iTunes.Gracenote.plist in the same folder.
If that doesn't work close iTunes and try deleting iTunesPrefs.xml. This will reset your some of your preferences in iTunes so be sure to check them and reset as required.
If that still hasn't resolved things close iTunes and try deleting the entire %appdata%\Apple Computer folder or look for parallel files/folders in the C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local or C:\Users\<User>\AppData\LocalLow in case a corrupt file is persisting there.
Note that any iOS device backups are stored in the MobileSync folder within Apple Computer. Once things are working you should backup your devices again as soon as possible.
Or it might not be the preference files after all...
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Ipod touch help with missing accept button for terms and conditions

I want to update my apps but when I try it tells me that i first have to accept the new terms and conditions, however, there is no accept button to click.
I have tried the other option to have it sent by e-mail but when I open the e-mail it's still the same with no accept button.
I went into settings and allowed cookies on safari.
I have an ipod touch 4th gen with ios 6.1.3. I am also not able to buy any apps, music , etc.
Someone PLEASE help!!!!

Under Safari settings I have also "cleared history" and "cleared cookies and data"
I have also given the i-pod both a restart, and a hard restart (holding the power and home buttons until the apple appears)
"private browsing" is set to off. "block pop-ups" is off too.

Please help, 3D animation play button Java Script

The U3D file embedded into the PDF contains 3 procedure animations
I would like to add a play button for each procedure.
But I do not see the Animation Objects in the model tree of the pdf and I do not know how to connect to these animations
with JavaScript.
I have tried with no luck:

If you're controlling the 3D animation from a button on the PDF page you need to talk to the correct API.
The easiest way to do it is to embed a function into the 3D annotation (using a .js text file) then call that function from your button.
e.g. in the 3D script, use this:
function playAnimation(i) {

scene.activateAnimation(_anim);
_anim.currentTime = 0;
runtime.play();
Then on your button, use this:
getAnnots3D(pageNum)[0].context3D.playAnimation(0);
then the same for (1) and (2) on your other buttons.

Help with Find / Replace button title tag contents (text)

Currently all the title tags generated for buttons are the same as
the actual html page name.
The problem with this is that the tooltip which appears in
browsers when you hover over the button with the mouse gives you
the page name. Instead I want to use these tooltips to give the
user an indication of what the function of the button is.
An example: A zoom button above an image: Currenty the
tootlip says “zoom imagename pagename” – Instead
it should say “click here to zoom”.
I need help to get the Dreamweaver Find and Replace tool to
batch replace these tags for me for about a 100 pages.
Here is an example of the code:

You have ~ 100 pages, each of which has images with title
attributes (not
tags), all of which BEGIN with the letters "zoom"?
What do you want to replace that text with? Wouldn't it be
different for
each button? Or do you mean that you would do multiple
sitewide searches,
one for each button? This illustrates how wrong it is to not
use DW
Templates or server-side includes to simplify the management
of your
navigation elements....
Did you ask Medialabs if it would be possible to specify this
before
generating the HTML?
How did you like working with SiteGrinder? It looks like a
nice product to
me, although I'm not fond of the final results code-wise....

Help With Scrolling Menu / Button Rollovers

- at this link I have created a site with a simple scrolling menu.
Now what I want to happen is when you rollOver the buttons on the
scrolling menu they get larger and then smaller again after you
roll off them.
I know how to do this with tweening in a non moving
environment, by making them a movie clip instead of button. But for
some reason when I did this in this case it screwed the menu all up
and made it go crazy. Is there a way to do this with action script
that isn't going to screw up the underlying code for the
scrolling?

You can use the below code also. As your mouse pointer goes
over the down, it will scroll down.

Help with the hold button on my ipod

First, my ipod was starting to act up so I went onto the apple website and reset the ipod using what they told me to do (hold the menu and the center button at the same time) which of course I lost everything. Well when it came back on I plugged it into my computer and it recognized it and everything, acted like it was syncing my music and videos and when I unplugged it, only the names of the artist and songs were on it, 3 songs actaully went thru corrently, one of them for some reason was cut short the other was somehow mixed in with another song. I thought it was my computer so I tried it with my mother's laptop. It did the same thing. Then it decided it wouldn't turn on for anything, I plugged it into the charger and now it charges and comes on but the hold button won't go off, I've tried flicking the switch tons of times, I've tried resetting it, but with the hold button on I can't do anything. How can I get the hold button off. The warrenty is expired on it, is there a way I could take it back to apple for a new one or a refurbished one, for free? Or would I have to pay like $150 for it? Is there a way I could fix it at home?

Is there any way I can have multiple sound buttons that works as stop buttons for each other?
I mean.. I now got 3 buttons that start 3 different songs, but they overlap each other when I press more than one. I'd like Song 1 to stop when I press Song 2 or 3. And vice versa

What this will involve is a movieclip/timeline containing images showing the sequence of the motion (like the frames of a movie film) and a Slider component that changes the frame of that movieclip/timeline based on its position.

You could edit the looks of the Slider component if you like by doubleclicking it and the inner parts you want to modify, or you could create one of your own if you have enough know-how to code it to work.

Need help with Cluster of Buttons displaying a message to which button is being pressed.

Create a VI with a cluster of six buttons labeled Option1…Option6. When executing, the VI should wait for the user to press one of the buttons. When a button is pressed, use the Display Message To User Express VI to indicate which option was selected. Repeat this process until the user presses the Stop button. The parameters of the problem needs me to use a while loop, case structure, a shift register and search 1d array. I'm just having trouble setting up my case structures and how to get the search 1d array to work with the cluster to find which button was pressed. I've attached a picture of my VI and also a VI I made without the cluster that does what I want the Cluster VI to do which is to recognize the button being pressed and bring up a prompt.

Okay so i moved the cluster into the while loop and wired a boolean true constant to the element of the search 1d array and now I can at least get the prompt for button 1 to display, but when I press the other buttons which I have set up the same way as button 1 I get no prompts so how can I get it to recognize the other buttons. Am I implementing the shift register incorrectly?

I need help with Compressor 4 settings to convert .mp4 files to .m4v for iBooks Author

I'm a curriculum design guy with no video background. I have Compressor 4, but don't really know much about how to best use it. I'd appreciate some help with getting the right setting for my project. Screen shots of settings would be much appreciated, since I don't know much video terminology.
I'm making an free iBook for students on WWII propaganda using old videos from the Internet archive.
I'd plan to use Compressor to:
1. Convert the .mp4 files to a .m4v that iBooks Author will accept. (I know I can use QT for that, but it increases file size)
2. Use Compressor to reduce file size so my iBook doesn't get too big
3. Get videos that look & sound the best, given the poor quality of the original source videos.
