HELP WITH APP

I am having trouble downloading apps for my 8520 curve
it was on virgin and i moved to o2 i out new email and id into app have checked the settings and is on o2 browser
but everytime i try to download of the app it says unable to connect and check your network settings
i cannot seem to get any help of anyone
i game downloades but when i open if it says unable to find
please help

So it means only BB App World app is not able to connect. That would be strange issue.

    I bought a second-hand Blackberry Curve 8520 today, and called my provider, Virgin asking them if they could help with App-World, they left me on hold for nearly 30 minutes so I hung up. I have got my BBM sorted, but when I try to use the App World it says that it is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App World Server and that I should verify my network connections. I have no idea what this means and really need help.

    Hi there, I'm posting here in the thinking this is the right forum to post to...
    So, I've been browsing the SL and Mavericks forums for the last days but although I have fetched some useful tips and answers, still need some help. Let me put it diary-style so I can be more concise ;)
    Here's my current system profile:
    iMac 27" (aluminium back- if I'm no wrong, from around late 2009-mid 2010)
    MacOS 10.6.1 Never updated.
    3.06 Ghz Intel Core2 Duo
    4Gb RAM
    LaCie Big Disk via FireWire 800
    Internet access via Ethernet port (cable)
    And here's The Issues Log:
    – Day one: First ever Kernel Panic. Restart. Nothing (apparently) wrong. If. I recall correctly, I was about to send some file over WeTransfer..
    – 3 weeks elapsed: Second Kernel Panic. Same. iMac restarts fine. Apps fine. No missing files. No misbehaviour experiences. I was just working on InDesign or maybe Illustrator.
    – After a month or so: One morning, Skype decides on its own to stop launching. The night before, I chatted with one of my clients, fine as always, but at the next day, nothing. Computer is usually shut off for the night. And so it was that night. Updated Skype and also did all the guest account trick / repaired permissions / repair ACLs. Nothing worked. Overwrote the Skype app with a former functioning version I have in an MacOS 10.5 system. Didn't work. Now I have to chat on the MacOS 10.5 computer. No good.
    – 15 days ago or so: After realising that I no longer have my HP1515n printer (it ran out of inks and thrashed it. It costs more to refill than to buy a new one), I deleted the printer from the printers list in the System Prefs Pane.
    – Last week: Acrobat (CS4) won't launch a PDF file and freezes. Spinning beach ball. Force quit and try opening the PDF file again. Freezes again. And again. And again. With that file and every other PDF.
    Photoshop CS5 fails to open or crashes when attempting to open any jpg or tiff file. InDesign and Illustrator CS5 are frozen and had to force quit both.
    Restart the iMac thinking it is just a "common" bad day and hoping everything will be alright after the restart, but nope.
    Not only the CS5 stops working; MSOffice stops working too. Spinning beach ball. Begin to suspect of the deletion of the printer, however, I also deleted the same printer in the above mentioned 10.5 system and I'm not experiencing anything strange. Reinstalled the HP drivers but nothing remarkable happens.
    Then, try to uninstall CS5, CS4, Office, etc. Try to reinstall Acrobat CS4 and the CS5 apps. Reinstall Office. Nothing. Just Outlook works.
    Since I had to desperately meet deadlines, convinced a colleague to come over to the studio and -I know, I know- allowed me to install a copy of CS6. It seems to work fine, except for Acrobat, which randomly freezes/hangs/works and Photoshop, which works fine unless you want to open a layered file containing text layers or if you want to type text on a normal file, because it freezes as soon as the Text Tool is pressed in the toolbar, of course, spinning beach ball again.
    Well, Illustrator CS6 sometimes shows a strange black thin frame overlaid on the interface but goes away by switching to another workspace and then back to the current. InDesign CS6 seems to be fine and making PDFs as expected. However, as I said before, it is pure luck if Acrobat accepts to open the file or even if it launches. Spinning beach ball when freezing/hanging. 
    As a method for eliminating possible culprits, did a clean up of the Suitcase Fusion database, removed duplicate and a few (less than 10) corrupted fonts.
    Removed completely MSOffice reinstalled and updated. Nothing. Now I neither have MSoffice running.
    I am no rookie but I can't even imagine what can cause such amount of misbehaviour, (kernel panics have something to do? malware? lack of system updates? MacHD is damaged?) so I'm thinking of a few scenarios:
    Backing up my projects and user folder –anything else to backup? (In fact I've already done that)– and:
    1. Do a clean install. Not sure if it will be best to completely erase the whole drive or if a standard reinstallation will be enough.
    2. Take the machine to a Genius Bar to see if there's anything that can be done without major OS messes.
    3. Erase the drive and go through the Mavericks upgrading (SL to Ln to MLn to Mavcks), although not sure if this upgrade is worth yet.
    4. Replace HD for a brand new one and either step 1 or 3.
    5. As a complement, I'm thinking of adding more RAM.
    Well. It is really the first time I don't know what to do. I have work to do and would not want to face a week away from my main computer and since most of the files are CS5-6 and hence, can't move to my wife's iMac...
    Apologies if this post feels too long, but I will truly appreciate any kind of input and advice on one of more of the issues mentioned in this post.
    And if it fits best in any other forum, please also let me know.

    Hi am wondering if anyone could help me , I had a bb 8520 before I got my bb 9320 and I had bought themes on my 8520 , I have looked on bb app world and I can get them for my bb 9320 but I have set up a diffrent email adress to the one that was on my 8520 , is there anyway I can access my old email through bb app world so I can download the themes I had paid for and purchased on my bb 8520 , I went to the themes a was wanting tried to puschase them and put in my old email adress but it says to enter the email adress which is linked to my bb app world could someone pls help me with this !

    AppWorld records, including purchases, remain attached to the BB ID. Hence, you must use the same BB ID on the new device in order to transfer the apps to the new device. But, since you are already in a position where you've created a new BB ID, you must abandon that and shift this BB over to your old BB ID. To do so, refer:
    KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet or BlackBerry smartphone
    The resolution is indeed drastic, so please be sure you have a good backup from which to restore after completing the WIPE. Hopefully, your new BB ID has no records you need to retain (e.g., new purchases) as there is no automated way to merge two BB ID accounts.

  • Help with App Server when trying to deploy JDeveloper 9.0.3 JClient

    I want to deploy JClients (applets) created in JDeveloper (9.0.3). I would like to set up a web site/web page to allow access to these applets via the Internet. I assume I need Application Server for this? If so, what version will work with 9.0.3 of JDeveloper? I read the documentation in JDeveloper about deploying to Oracle App Server, but I have NO experience with ANY application servers, so it's a little confusing.

    OK, I installed App Server 9.0.3, and I deployed my applet as a WAR file to 9iAS. I then created an OC4J instance in 9iAS, and deployed the WAR file to this instance. NOW, how does someone access this applet from a WEB browser. I noticed that the WAR deployment has an associated URL, but if I try to enter this URL on the browser (i.e. ../applications/MyApplet.ear), the browser says the page is not found.

  • Help with App Crashing

    I am having trouble opening my app on the simulator. I clicked build and run on xcode and there were no problems with the build and it said that the build was successful. When it goes to run the app in the simulator the app in opens then closes it. What is wrong with it? Why does it keep shutting down?
    Also the debugger has a red arrow pointing to this:
    0x94dd7c5a  <+0010>  jae    0x94dd7c6a <__kill+26>... how do I fix this? Also says: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: 'Source type 1 not available'.  Please help me figure this out.

  • Help! I have a Used Mac Book Pro need help with apps update

    My ex bought me a mac book pro and purchased all of the apps and uploaded the apps under is apple id. I just recently update the new software now i can't get access to iPhoto, and other apps because its asking me for my password but his apple id coming up is there any way i re install these apps under my apple id. Please help I can used iPhoto.

    You cannot use or upgrade anything that is registered with his Apple ID. You must re-purchase it all using your Apple ID and your iTunes account. This includes the operating system as well. Essentially, you erase the drive and start from scratch. Here's how to get started:
    Install OS X Using Internet Recovery
    Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
    Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
    Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
    Partition and Format the hard drive:
    Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
    After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
    This should restore the version of OS X originally pre-installed on the computer. You can decide which apps you want to purchase (or download free) from the App Store where you will set up your own account and your own Apple ID if you don't have one.

  • S.O.S.!!!! Please help with App Error 205

    So yesterday, I was so excited about the release of the Mac Desktop manager. I installed it on my Mac, started running the updates for my 8330 and the usb connector fell out while updating. I re-inserted it but it did not continue the update. Now, my phone wont completely reboot, it just ends on a message: App Error 205 and a reset option. I hit the option and it just cycles back around to the error message after trying to re-boot. I have tried the battery pull trick. I have seen the threads concerning the PC app loader solution but nothing for MAC users. 
    PLEASE HELP!! I am out on the road right now and my Crackberry is my lifeline to my business and personal world.

  • Need Help with App World on the Blackberry Curve 9300

    Right i got the new Blackberry curve 9300 about a week ago. All my mates already have blackberry curves 8520's. I downloaded App World to get the same theme has my mate, but when i go on his it says he has over 1300 themes on his App World and i only have around 300 on my App World. Why is this? Also i can't get the theme i want because i don't have all the themes on my App World for some reason. If you could help please reply.

    The 8520 and the 9300 are completely different devices with different OS's etc.  The theme on an 8520 probably won't work on the 9300.  The 9300 hasn't been out nearly as long as the 8520 so there are fewer themes available.  This will change with time.

  • Help with app sync

    Hi, I recently bought 3 apps for my itouch using the iTunes on my computer. When I try to sync the apps I bought with my itouch, an error messages pops up saying that the apps were not installed on my iPod because "you are not authorized for them on this computer." What can I do about this?
    If it makes any difference, my itouch is 8GB and I bought the apps with gift card money. Also, my computer is Windows XP and my iTunes is all updated and everything. Thanks!

    Since you bought the apps with a gift card, it probably didn't require you to be signed into an itunes account. Make sure you have an itunes account and are signed in when trying to sync. If this still does not help, when you are signed in go to store at the top of the screen and click authorize computer. It will probably ask you for you email and password (the one you set up in first step). Then try to sync your ipod.

  • Help with app update but already updated

    Hi,
    I have an app called HulloMail installed, and it has already been updated. However, the app store says it needs to be updated, and shows this in the Updates tab. It's already updated though. Is there any way I can remove this notification? I've tried reinstalling it/uninstalling it, but it insists on updating it when it's already updated.

    I also have a simlar problem which occured after selecting a multiple update, unfortunatley i now have an outstanding update showing for i photo where the button is greyed out showing installed, i have been in contact with apple, who gave me a few suggestions including signing in and out, checking for unfinished downloads (initally there was also a red error message next to the update saying download failed) this cleared the error message but the app store still shows there is an outstanding update which is already updated.
    would welcome any further suggestions

    but when i try and download rim or 3rd part app i get a message saying
    the   IT policy dose not allow downloading third-pary applications
    BUT I DO NOT HAVE AN IT DEPARTMENT
    but i bought the phone my self .. and work has not got my e.mail address ...???

    ok sounds like your bb used to be on a BES
    goto 'options' and 'about' check what version of software is on your device... 3rd line down v4.x.x.x
    you will need to download and install Desktop Manager 4.7
    DTM w/ Media Manager or DTM w/o Media Manager
    make a backup
    click on 'start' and 'run'
    type in 'cmd'
    in the black screen type "cd c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader" no quotes and press 'enter'
    you will then be in that directory
    next type "loader.exe /resettofactory" no quotes and press 'enter'
    after the appload resets your device and reboots
    you can go back and check to see if the IT Policy has been removed
    then you can restore your backup

    i have an iPhone 4s and am upgrading iphones so i am doing a full sync but i have a problem with all my apps. i havent got any apps in my itunes as i deleted them all to save space. how do i get all the apps back onto itunes now that i am changing phones?

    Simply having the app in iTunes does not also save any user data. That is all stored on the iOS device. To save user data you'll also need to be making a backup of the iOS device to either iTunes or iCloud. If the apps are not syncing to iTunes during a regular sync then right-click the device and choose "sync." iOS apps are stored in ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Applications by default.
    You say the apps don't sync over... when you deleted them from your HDD, how did you do that?

  • HT1977 Help with app downloads

    I'm trying to download apps from itunes onto my iphone.  When I look at my itunes account in the app stoure under purchases, it shows that the apps have downloaded.  When I look at my phone, I can see them on my phone but they all say "waiting..." underneath the icons.  How do I get them to actually work?  What is the next step?  I tried to synch the apps to my phone, but followed the steps and got the screen that I thought I wanted, but then wasn't able to actually highlight anything on that screen.  Looking for help if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong.

    Thanks, tried it but no luck.  I looked through a bunch of the other lines that were similar, they all said to try and download another app and see if that refreshed my iphone, but that didn't work either.  They all still say "waiting..."
