Help with BB running S....L...O....W!!!

I just downloaded the new Facebook app, that was the last thing i did and the phone worked great then this morning the phone has been running so slow, it keeps lagging! i went in and cleared the messages and the internet cookies, now i dont have to many apps on the BB, but a crap load of pics on the card. what can i do to make it fun faster like it was? or just help it work better

Note 1287382 To Help With Long Running Transport (DataStore)

Hey Everyone.
I am wondering if anyone has tried the steps in note 1287382 to help with the long run times when transporting new fields on large DataStore objects. I understand the idea behind the note, but am slightly skeptical about how long the end step with the workaround may take (that would be running the SAP_NOT_NULL_REPAIR_ORACLE program on the active and change log tables).
I have thought about just writing the active table data to a temporary table, delete active table data, send transport, write the data back from custom table directly to active table. I realize this goes against typical handling for a standard DataStore but this is what I was leaningt towards when I found the SAP note.
If anyone has taken the steps in the note, I would appreciate if you could let me know the transport time gains, how long the program took to rebuild/synchronize the tables, and the amount of data you were working with. I am working with a DSO of around 300 million or more.

Thank you for that reply. So the 2 hours is how long that program took, right? I assume after making the RSADMIN table updates, the transport went very quickly? Did you encounter any issues afterwards with further updates to cubes (assuming you have them)?

Please Help With WRT54G Running WWW Server

Can someone please help me with a problem I am having setting up a WWW server?
I installed a wireless network in my home last week. I’ve spent days trying to configure the network so that I can run a WWW server on port 80. Right now I have it configured as two separate networks so I can access the WWW server on an additional roadrunner IP on PC1 that is the reason for the hub.
PC1 wired to EFAH05W 5 port hub ---> Linksys LNE100TX network adapter
PC2 wired to WRT54G ---> Linksys LNE100TX network adapter
PC3 wired to WAP54G ---> Linksys LNE100TX network adapter
Mac note book wireless WAP54G ---> MacAirport
Motorola SB 5100 Surfboard Modem ---> Linksys EFAH05W 5 port hub ---> Linksys WRT54G V 6.0 ---> Linksys WAP54G v3.01
I want to cancel the extra IP and remove the hub and still access the www server from outside my network! I want the WWW server to run on PC3 which is hard wired to the WAP54G. I have all of the ports forwarded correctly and no firewalls! I can access all three computers on the private network with no problem and they all can access the internet but… When I go to the PC1 with the road runner IP I can’t I can’t access the WWW server running on PC3.
I have the WAP54G set as a client and the IP addresses begin at 192.168.1.100 and run through 192.168.1.105 wireless is on channel 6 and security is 128bit wep.
While I am here I might as well address another issue I have. I up-graded the firmware on the WRT54G V 6.0 to v1.02.0 and now I cant get the WAP54G to work in repeater mode which seems to have been fixed by going back to v1.01.0 firmware but I cant find v1.01.0 anywhere does anyone know where I can find it?
I know I should have backed up the firmware but… I didn’t !

Sorry, but the way you describe your network setup is hard to understand. It would be easier if you started from the internet connection and said how everything is wired/connected from there.

I suppose that means your PC1 has a LNX100TX which is wired to the EFA, etc... Because later you only have a "--->" and it does not say anymore if it is wired or wireless...
I guess the WAP is in repeater mode/WDS thus the WAP is connected wireless to the WRT and bridges to PC3.
It also seems to me as if you are running two DHCP servers: one on the WAP and one on the WRT. This is a bad idea as well. In a LAN you should run only a single DHCP server.
You also don't clear say how you are trying to access the web server. I suppose you enter your public IP address into your browser on a PC behind the WRT. You don't say exactly what is not working. You don't write exactly what error messages you get. If you enter the public IP address of the WRT router into your browser on a computer inside your LAN you will only get the web configuration page of the router. You cannot connect to a server port which is forwarded on the router. You must attempt the access from outside, i.e. the internet. Use an anonymizer service or a html validator for a quick glimpse what you can access from the internet.
Old firmware: look on ftp://ftp.linksys.com/ for old firmware version. The U.S. versions are in the directory /pub/network You must keep in mind that the v6 is compatible with the v5. The directory is a little bit a mess. It is tricky to find the files which are relevant. I found the following two.

Are you running Norton Internet Security or anything similar? There have been reports that Norton and similar firewall products treat an upgrade as a new application and so you have to go in and reallow connections for iTunes. Check the settings and if necessary remove and re-enable the exception for iTunes (consult your privacy filter's documentation for the appropriate procedure). You may also need to check the built-in Windows firewall as well.

Urgent: Help With Background Run

Hi,
I am attempting to run a program in background that downloads excel into a specified directory. But I am encountering an error in the background job, apparently the program is calling function WS_QUERY, which is of course cannot be run in bakcground( ?). But If I execute the program in foreground, I cant seem to find how this FM is called by my program? Any ideas?
Also, the program uses several screens and uses sy-ucomm for several routines. Would this still work in background?
I really need help asap. Please help.

There is no download in the background, only working with SERVER files calles DATASETs.
If you want to know what's happening in background, add this code somewhere in your program:

Start the program in background. Go to SM37 Job overview. Use menu JOB->Catch active job.

Help with slow running query

I am having some performance problems on OBIEE dashboards so I am trying to figure out what is going wrong by looking at the query being generated.
I have spent time simplifying the query down to a very basic select statement, and trying to see why it still takes about ~5 seconds to run. See the following explain plan:

Any ideas? Btw I am not a DBA or tuning expert, simply an OBIEE developer that was tasked with fixing this performance.

both tables have ~1M rows so no much choice. Assuming the dim table has unique index, nest loop join is usually faster. try the two sql below to see any improvement

All was well until the events I entered on the phone were showing up in Outlook, but not the other way around. I’ve tried the usual recommended steps: deselecting calendar and contacts in the iCloud control panel and then re-selecting, signing out of the panel and back in, and repairing the Outlook installation in control panel. I even uninstalled iCloud on the PC and downloaded it again (same version).
The furthest I’ve gotten is step 2 (and once, step 3) of 7 while performing “Outlook Setup For iCloud.” At that point I get, “Your setup couldn’t be started because of an unexpected error.” After the first attempt at all this, all my calendar events disappeared from Outlook, although they are still in iCloud calendar and on my phone.
Sound familiar? Any ideas on how to solve this iCloud/Outlook issue? Thanks much in advance!

The figures you mention only make sense on your intranet. Are you still using the same wireless router. The verizon one is somewhat limited as far as max wireless-n performace. For one thing it only has a 2.4 radio. I like many people who wanted wireless-n performance before they even added a wireless-n gigabit router, have my own handling my wireless-n network.

I have a MacBook Pro 15" laptop with Retina running OSX 10.8.5. It will not recognize that my android device (Samsung Galaxy Note3). I am using the standard USB that came out of the box to connect my device to my MAC. Deleted Kies 4 MAC. Help Pls!

You do not have to partition your drive - Parallels creates a disk image which contains your Windows installation. You do have to exercise anti-virus measures in the Windows partition, although such malware cannot affect the Mac filesystem.

Thanks for your help Brij011 - much appreciated. Apologies as I'm a newbie but I've looked at the info for synching and I appear to have all the switches flicked on my iPad. Does the iPad and iBooks only sync in iCloud for purchases as I appear to be doing something wrong. I could sync ok when books was in iTunes but since migrating to Mavericks I think I'm doing something wrong!!

Help with running bonjour

I can't get bonjour to run on my computer. I have tried uninstalling, installing the previous version and downloading bonjour for windows from apple.The service starts normally and is running but the IE plugin shows "bonjour service not available", running the printing wizard shows the same. I ran the dns-sd which shows

I have itunes 8 installed, haven't found the need to use bonjour before so would usually uninstall it. Don't know much about bonjour, tried searching the forums but couldn't come up with anything. Can anyone help with this?

I get into the same situation consistently after switching the network connection from Ethernet LAN to Wireless LAN. The only fix I know of is to restart the PC.

But i really wonder how you did that. did you always switch between design view and preview view, then change the key position for 2px then switch back, to align the four letters? because i imagine that can get really frustrating, if you have a logo consisting of 58 parts instead of 4!:)
