Help with browser scrollbar!!

I mean to do a scroll bar like in
this Site
I have a flash movie set to 100% per 100%. It looks great on
1600 per 1200. at a 768 width ressolution it still works but i nee
a scroll bar for the lengh.
Any tutorials on this matter?

it sound like you are, i also have a bb curve and love it , but really you should have a icon of earth with a yellow arrow going around it if not you might have to call the blackkberry help desk throught tmobile. after you put your info in say blackberry and it will send you to the blackberry help desk and they are open 24/7 so you can call at any time . it sound like it was deleted or not trun on but you to get the internet on the phone you need to have the internet package from tmobile and you need to have a wireless moden in your home to use it there. i hope this helps, andlet me know if it dose and any thing else i may help you with

Help with browser/cache Possible iCloud issue- I think

A few months ago I built a website through Volusion.com. I also bought my domain name through them: whisperingcreektradingpost.com
Shortly afterward I became dissatisfied with their service and chose to move to Shopify.com
In order to move my domain name, I had to transfer it to GoDaddy.com first and then follow Shopify instructions on how to have it point to my new store with them. IP address, etc.
So I did all that, and for a little while it seemed okay, but periodically would still point to the old Volusion store. Today, Shopify told me that I needed to make sure all the setting with them were set correctly and to also add the domain name without the “www” to the list of what would point to the domain name.
Everything in Shopify is now set so that the following three items all point only to the main domain name whisperingcreektradingpost.com
1. whisperingcreektradingpost.com
2. www.whisperingcreektradingpost.com
3. whispering-creek-trading-post.myshopify.com
For the rest of the day and still tonight, I cannot get to my Shopify store at all. Not on either of my desktops, laptop, two iPads, iPhone or iPod. Everything on my network takes me to the old Volusion store when I type in that domain. I even downloaded Chrome and tried that on the three computers, still no success.
Even when I am in my admin section ON the Shopify website, when I input the data for a product, save it, then click the link to view in browser- it STILL takes me to the old Volusion site- even from INSIDE my Shopify admin!!!
Over an hour on the phone with Shopify tech support did not clear it up. I cleared the data on every device on every browser. Restarted every device, etc. My daughter is next door with her own internet service account and can bring up my new site with no problem.
The internet service provider swears they cannot store anything like cookies or cache on the router so it is not on them, Shopify is able to get to my site with no problem. They told me that their only job is to make sure I have a connection to the internet. Period. And that the problem of not getting the ‘right one’ is not something they can help with and if they sent someone out to prove that I would be charged for the service call.
Is it possible that there are cookies/cache on the iCloud that keeps putting the information back on my devices? Is there some way that within my network they are all sending each other the case information before I can clear it?
I am the only one, and every device on my network, that cannot get any browser to go to the new website instead of the old one.
In addition, even with all the updates AND restarting several times, my internet connection is dragging something awful now.
Help.

The browser icon availability is controled by the carrier provisioning. Assuming that you have a BlackBerry specific data plan then your device is properly provisioned. All you should have to do to get the browser icon back is register your BlackBerry on the network.
Go to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table. Press the menu key and select Register Now. If the icon does not reappear after a minute or two them remove the battery for 10 seconds.

Newbie needs help with browser compatibility

Ok, so I'm new at this, so this may be something really
simple, but browser compatibility? I made a site in DW;html and it
shows up perfect in safari but internet explorer and firefox not so
much. I did a browser compatibility test in DW and it says nothing
is wrong with my pages, but obviously something must be!!
On my home page, the image of a house that I have next to the
company name shows up fine in safari but not any other browsers.
And my page layout, everything is moved over funny in other
browsers. Also there are link boxes around the table I created with
different brands of products. On safari the boxes do not show, but
all the other browsers it does!! I'm new at this and frustrated!!!

I'm trying to do is go to the URLs of web galleries of images from my
main site
so I would presumably have to rename them on my server? i.e. does that
mean adding the code ", "_blank");
to the files on the server?
At the moment I have to use the back button on my browser window which
takes me back to the main site which then has to reload (tediously!)

Help with browser issue - Acrobat Pro default for PDF

Hello,
I have Acrobat Pro CS3 set as default for reading pdf's, because I often have to edit the pdf's I open. This works fine with pdf's I open from disk.
However, it seems that somehow Acrobat Pro has taken over as default for opening pdf's inside browsers as well. My plugins list in FF shows "Adobe Acrobat 9.1.0.163 Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape". Whenever I navigate to a page which is a pdf, the entire Acrobat Pro external program opens, displaying a blank page and an error message popup - when I click OK on the error, the application closes and the pdf opens in the browser window - sometimes this requires several tries before it opens in browser.

I have Reader 9 installed on system, and I am downloading Reader 10 just to see if a reinstall will correct this.

Thanks Chris - That did EXACTLY what I wanted it to do.
I was able to create a button that prompts the user to save the form, then it hides the price fields, then it flattens, then it e-mails the form. The order was important since I wanted the salesperson to be able to save the "not-flattened" form.

Help with Browser Bug

Hi everyone, hope someone can shed some light onto this for
me. I've design a site that works fine in most browsers, but has a
couple of bugs in Firefox.
If you take a look at the sample below in Internet Explorer
& Firefox you can see there are 2 problems.
1. The background image that should repeated in the body
doesn't appear in firefox (so it just displays the b/g colour)
2. The login boxes on the right hand side have expanded out
of the page and I have no idea why!
Any help, would be brilliant.

I see it just fine in FF1.5x.

There is something inconsistent with your math in the tables
on the right
and the containing box. The widths/padding are pushing the
table much wider
in FF than in IE.
Try doing two things, and you'll see -
1. Add cellspacing="0" to the <table> tag
2. Remove the right and left padding on the td.
The table will now behave properly in both browsers. This
means that you
have sized the table without consideration for the padding in
the cell.
Reset the table width from 189 to 159 and it's going to look
much better
(now you can put the padding back).

Help with "Browse" by Artist

So I think I have a pretty good handle on this whole "Sort Artist" field on the "Sort" tab, but for some reason, it picks random artists names to display from the list of artists that are combined. Example:
Garth Brooks - Friends In Low Places
Garth Brooks & George Jones - Beer Run
Chris Gaines - Snow in July
Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood - Wild as the Wind
I set the "Sort Artist" on all four to "Garth Brooks" and it appears in between the "Gap Band" and "Gary Glitter" on my browse as "Chris Gaines" But if I take the "Sort Artist" out of the Chris Gaines file, it changes on the browse to "Garth Brooks & George Jones" and if I take it out of the Beer Run tag, it displays as "Garth Brooks" and not "Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood."
[Edit] Just went back and did it again and it did change the browse to "Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood" but it didn't do that the first time.
Any thoughts? I just want it to show up as "Garth Brooks" and not anything else.

Yeah, I'm square with how the "artist" and "album artist" fields work... but what I'm saying is that "Garth Brooks" and "Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood" and "Chris Gaines" all get subsidized down to one line... either "Chris Gaines" or "Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood" on the Browse category... there aren't separate lines for each artist, only one. My problem isn't that the other artists don't show up... it's that just plain old "Garth Brooks" gets replaced by one of the other artist names.

I'm suddenly in need of help with my Firefox browser (6.0.2)

Hi there,
I'm suddenly in need of help with my Firefox browser (6.0.2)
(OS: I use Windows XP).
When I open up the browser, all I see is a completely blank white screen, with all the toolbars at the top.
I know that my physical connections are fine: I've tested the modem, turned the pc off and on etc. and I can also receive/send emails.
This problem started today, 8th September, 2011 and has never happened before.
Is it a coincidence that Firefox updated itself just before I logged off yesterday evening? Could it be something to do with this particular new update?
I've also noted that just before I "open up" Firefox, I now get a small box saying:
[JAVASCRIPT APPLICATION]
Exc In Ev handl: TypeError: This oRoot.enable is not a function
This has never appeared before - I hope it offers a clue a to what is wrong.
The Browser is not stuck in Safe Mode, by the way.
Obviously, I can't search for any solutions to the problem on the internet, as I can't physically see any websites!
(A friend is sending this query on my behalf from their pc)
Any light you could throw on this confusing problem would be much appreciated. I'd rather not have to uninstall and reinstall Firefox if possible.
If the only option is to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it from your site, then I'm also in trouble (I can't see the internet or make any downloads).
In that case, would you be able to send the .exe file as an attachment to my email address? If so, please let me know and I'll give you further details.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Help with Open Browser Window

I built a site named greenscapepump.com. I used the behavior
"Open Browser Window" that allows a photo to be viewed in a smaller
window. I have it set up to double-click the photo name to go to
the browser window. It works on some computers but not others. I
used the same behavior on other pages in the same web site and it
is working on all computers.
The three pages under the menu "Portfolio" are: Architectural
Fountains, Waterfalls and Streambeds, and Floating Fountains, are
the pages that have problems with this behavior on some computers.
Is this an individual computer problem, or do I need to do
something in Dreamweaver to fix it?

OMG - the code on the architecturalfountains page is a horror
Why do you need to use doubleclick.... most users are
accustomed to clicking
on a link wait for something to happen....
Also, the code for that dropdown is massive... are you really
committed to
that menu?
The validator found quite a few errors on that particular
page - I didn't
test each page (that's up to you :) these errors aren't
helping with your
page load also - one of the pages (can't recall which now)
just kept trying
to load and never did stop... try fixing the errors (some
more important
than others to the well being of your page) and then see
where you are at
with your pages... I'd also suggest changing the
'doubleclick' to just the
one click - really no need for anything else.

Help with CSS browser issue... please!

I posted this issue on the Wordpress forums and am not having
much luck. Since it seems to be a CSS issue, I thought I should
post it here and see if any of you can help me out.
I am having a problem with browser compatibility on my
Wordpress powered blog. I built the template in Dreamweaver and
then spliced it up into the individual blog files.
The blog is at

The main problem is that in Mozilla and Safari, the
background wrapper is dropping out right before the navigation bar
(the background disappears). Since this part is still in the header
file, I'm not sure what is going wrong.
I am attaching the code for the index and header. If you need
to see any of the other code, let me know!

Sync an object with the browser scrollbar

Is there any way to set up a button or group of buttons to move vertically with the browser's scrollbar? I have a region that contains search options for a query and it requires the user to scroll down to access all of the fields. I'd like to cause the "Search" button to move vertically with the scrollbar so the user doesn't have to scroll to view it once he/she has entered the search criteria.

I need help with a browser problem

I am was given a new iMac G3 (from 2001) which was really never used.I have not yet had any serious problems with it, but really could use some help with a browser problem.
I have 4 different web browsers that needs the macro media flash player update. The browsers I use are internet explorer, iCab, Netscape, and the original Mozilla Firefox.
It would be of great appreciation for the readers of this post to answer my question.
I am also having the problem with installing the plug - ins for the browsers. Thank You For Taking the Time To read This!

As Tom has suggested, plugins need to be installed in the Plug-Ins folder for the browser.
Typically each browser will have its own Plug-Ins folder, usually located in the same folder containing the browser itself. In order for each of several browsers to access the same plugins, the plugins must be replicated and placed in each of the Plug-Ins folders for each of the browsers. The easy way to do that is to hold down the Option key while dragging a plugin to the new location - a copy (not an alias) of the plugin will be generated at the location it is dragged to.
Most plugins will display a Netscape icon regardless of where they are located - this is normal.
It is not unusual for the installer for a plugin to default its install to the Plug-Ins folder for Internet Explorer. So be it. Just replicate the new plugin to the other Plug-Ins folders as needed.
Note that some plugin installs will involve more than one item. For those, be sure to replicate all items for it. Using labels can help identify what is new, what has been most recently added, in a Plug-Ins folder.

That is a very old version belonging to Snow Leopard. I take it you are not actually running Yosemite.

Flex2 (beta3) apps don't work with Firefox when browser scrollbars appear

I ran into a very strange situation where my flex2 (beta2 and
beta3) application is big enough to cause browser scrollbars to
appear. In such a case, if I scroll the browser, then all button
controls in the flex2 app can not listen to mouse events any more.
I found this problem with Firefox (v1.5) in Windows XP. IE in XP is
perfectly fine. Below is the code, simple enough to illustrate my
situation. To test, please compile the first file into test.swf,
and then access test.html form Firefox. Thanks.

I am an advanced beginner website designer.
The website I need help with is www.sprungtheatre.com
I designed this site on a PC machine. Each page has a
different CSS Background Image rule. The only rule I have set is
image and the "non-repeat." I have not set rules for its placement.
Each of these images had a feather effect applied to it in
Illustrator so the image would fade into the black background. This
works fine on Windows machines in IE and Firefox.
However, on Macs, the left-hand side of the image is chopped
off. Which is to say, it appears if the feathered edge has been cut
off and the image ends abruptly.
Is there any way to fix this problem?
My only guess is that the following my be happening:
The CSS Background Image rule is applied to a nested table
that is editable in a template. I'm thinking that the Mac browswers
are moving the image to the upper left of the overall, "poppa"
table in which the editable region is nested, cutting off that part
of the image that appears in the non-editable region of the "poppa"
table and showing that part of it that appears in the nested,
editable table. I hope that makes sense. Would applying the
placement rules help this? If not, what might?

Don't use a fixed background image.
Sorry to break the news but the code is hidous for an
advanced beginner.
Youre sure to run into much trouble unless you are preapred
to take
some time out and learn this stuff correctly.
Using layout mode and spliting and merging tables into all
sorts of
shapes is a seriously bad method and one you should quickly
move away
from for the sake of your own sanity.

Help With JScrollPane and many JLabels...

I am in the process of designing an 'image browser' applet for a client, but am having some difficulty in deciding how I can most elegantly meet all of the requirements. The specification calls for an applet that can view up to 400 images (all images are small - 120 * 120 px), the view of the images can be scrolled (if not all are in the view) or scaled (zoom in and out on any area), and the images will need to 'animate' or move to new locations as sorting criteria changes. Also, I need to be able to group images into arbitrary n*n arrays and click on any image in the view (rollovers may also be necessary in the future).
At first, I thought this would be easily solved by putting the images (JLabels?) into as many groups (JPanels?) as necessary to meet the sort criteria, then adding the groups to my main view (JScrollPane w/JPanel) in a GridLayout. My current attempt at a solution scales the groups (JPanels) via. an overridden paintComponent method from within my main scrolling view (using g2d and scale). Unfortunately, I now have many problems that I am having trouble solving:
1. After I re-scale the JScrollPane (zoom in or out) and then try and scroll, the new images that scroll in are either garbled or just junk (seems like remnants of the original, non-scaled components?).
2. The scrollbars, at first, were not reflecting the current scaling and how much content is visible, so I overrode the getPreferredSize method in my JScrollPane content object to return (super.getPreferredSize * scaleFactor) - this fixes the appearance of the scroll bars (ie. they accurately reflect how much content there is), but it also offsets all of the images left depending on the scale value (less scale -> images offset further left).
3. I need pixel-perfect control over the images, so that I can animate the transition from one 'group' to another - I can't see a way to achieve this with my current solution.
Has anyone tried to do something like this before? What is a good way of accomplishing what I need here? Any code out there that does something similar? Any help would be appreciated, I've been banging my head against the wall over this for days now...

I increased the frame size to 3 lines and noticed the the flickering is a result of the text area painting itself without the scrollbar and then repainting itself with the scrollbar. I don't know why this happens, but a work around is to use:
