Help with Business Services

Hi,
In our company, we are going to give a new functionality to our customers. But we don't know where to start.
Yes, we have been reading the official documentation, but there are not much examples.
Please, could you give me some basic documentation and examples to start with?
And some advanced documentation too, to start with that when we master the BSSVs.
Thanks.

i waiting your help?
is the Question more difficult to answer it??

  • Replace E1- Adapter with Business Services

    Hello,
    We are using E1-adapter to communicate with web Methods ( like calling business function, table IO etc..), now we are planning to replace E1- adapter with Business Services. We are using tools 8.98.11 and Application Release E812.
    Question is , is it possbile to create a wraper to call any business functions just like E1-adapter? Any help is greatly appriciated.
    Thank you.

    Yes, you can use the JDE Business Service Server to simulate the E1-Adapter associated with webMethods. Oracle provides out of the box Business Services for a majority of the E1 transactions. We have implemented Business Services Server with our webMethods and it is working very well.

  • Caching in OSB with Business Service

    Hi All,
    I am done with business service development, but I need to configure caching to fetch the data from cache if TTL (Time to Live) <24 if is more then my request to interact with the database can please help how I can I do it, as I am new to caching concept.
    Thank You,
    Vinay Kumar

    Hi Vinay, Select the Business Service - Message Handling Configuration - in Advanced Settings section, you can configure caching for the business service; select Result caching as Supported, and specify cache token (unique key) and expiration time (TTL). Note- once the TTL exceeds for a particular data, the business service will fetch the result from the target system/database and cache it, and the cycle repeats (no specific configuration to be done for this).  Also, before configuring the above, first enable the caching globally in OSB; go to Operations - Global settings - select Enable Result caching, and activate the changes.

  • Logical system with business service

    hi,
    can we have a logical system with business service just like we have with business system?? If yes,how can we create logical system for business service??
    Ratna.

    Hi,
    If you intend to use it with IDoc adapter it might be also necessary to set up corresponding Logical System (tcode: BD54) in adequate backed system.
    Refer conversion routine (logical system vs. service) in this presentation [Using the IDoc-Adapter|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b2b4035c-0d01-0010-31b5-c470d3236afd] - page no 6.

  • How to pass parameters to servlet with POST with  Business Service OSB

    Hi all.
    I am newby in OSB. I am trying to send some values through a POST call to a servlet. I know how to call the servlet with Business Service of type "Messaging Service". I send the parameters of type Text.
    I have tried several ways, but I don`t find the proper way yo do it. I have tried to insert the param into the body and into the header.
    The problem is that I don`t know exactly where to put them, I don`t know if it must be done in the header or in the boy. I neither don`t know if there is a common way to do this.
    Please, could you give me a good example of an insert activity to isert a post parameter inside the call?
    For example: now I am using this one:
    Expression => "accountType=test"
    Location => as first child of"
    XPATH => empty.
    In variable => body.
    Where do I have to insert this, in the body or in the outbounds?
    I have followed this posts:
    https://blogs.oracle.com/jeffdavies/entry/enhanced_rest_support_in_oracl
    http://www.yenlo.nl/en/using-osb-with-rest/
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
    Please be carefull about passing values such as Strings or number that contains ',' .
    using the way described above.
    the best way is to pass an ID and then use a select Statement to get the other Values in the target page.
    regards

    Hi,
    I have IDOCXIFile Scenario
    Can we design the scenario with Business service for SAP R/3 and As well as for File system also????
    I dont have details abt the SAP R/3 system to create the Tech system in SLD
    Regards
    Suman

    Hello Suman,
    Go through this Blog..
    /people/prateek.shah/blog/2005/06/08/introduction-to-idoc-xi-file-scenario-and-complete-walk-through-for-starters
    These are the steps which u have to do
    STEPS IN DESIGN
    1. Import idoc from the SAP System (SAP02) through imported objects.
    2. Create Data Type, Message Type, Message Interface for the Outbound File.
    3. Create Message Mapping with file Message and idoc (Matmas04)
    5.Create Interface mapping between File Interface and the idoc.
    Steps to be followed in Creation of Technical and Business System
    Technical System
    In SLD, click on technical landscape->New Technical System->WebAS ABAP.
    Business System.
    1.Goto Business Landscape->New Business System->Name the business system.
    2. Choose the technical system that needs to be attached->WebAS ABAP->Technical System Name.
    Preconfiguration steps for transfer of data to IDOCS
    1.Create a RFC Destination in SM59 of XI Server of type.
    2.In transaction IDX1 ,create a port for the client of XI server.
    3. The port has to be displayed in the idx2 transaction and we should be able to view the idoc’s which we imported through integration repository.
    Steps in Configuration
    1. Goto service without party, right click->Assign a business system.
    2. Choose the business system to be added.
    3. Create a File Sender Service with communication channel for the same.
    4. Create an idoc receiver channel under the business system.
    7. The Idoc type( which data is to be written) is mentioned as inbound parameter.
    8. Mention the logical Name in the Service->Adapter Specific Parameters of both the File Sender Service as well as the business system.
    9. Make the Sender Agreement for theFile Sender with communication channel.
    10.Create the Receiver Determination and Interface Determination for the business system.
    11.Create the Receiver Agreement for the Business system.
    Step for Configuration fo IDOC in R/3
    SM59-rfc destination
    IDX1-port
    IDX2-load metadata
    we05-IDoc status records
    BD54-Create Partner Number
    We20-Create Partner Profile
    WE19-Testing IDoc Processing
    Do these configurations in R/3 and in XI...
    SAP XI

  • Issue with Business Services on 11.1.1.8

    I am creating DBAdapter services in jdev and then trying to create Business Services in OEPE. I was using the 11.1.1.4 with no issues, but had to upgrade so the server and dev tools were in sync for easy deployment.
    Basically when you select the WSDL in the business service it does not see the port binding so you can't complete the creation of the service. It appears the new version does not import things correctly. In the previous version it referenced the WSDL but the new import WSDL looks nothing a like the previous version. I have a fair amount of experience doing this so I am kinda scratching my head as to the deltas and it not recognizing the port binding in the wsdl. Not sure if I need to upgrade jdev 10 11.1.1.6 as I am using 11.1.1.5.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    I found what the issue is but not sure what the fix is. I selected a sequence when on the last step of the wizard and that is causing issues with the wsdl file. If I remove that things work correctly

  • Read Timeout is not working with business service in OSB 11.6

    HI All,
    We have set below configuration in "Http Transport Configuration" of a business service.
    Read Timeout- 8
    Connection Timeout  - 8
    Authentication  - None
    Proxy Serve
    Follow HTTP redirects - Disable
    Use Chunked Streaming Mode - Enable
    Even though backend is taking more than the configured value in Read Timeout but timeout is not happening in OSB, Connection time out also not worked, when we tested with wrong backend URL.
    Any help for this configuration would appreciated.
    Thanks,.

    Hi,
         Have you invoked any Services before calling the Business Service.
    If Yes, then the problem with the Invoked service.In this scenario even if you set the time out period it will not work..
    If No, your request payload is high

  • How to use security certificate with Business service

    Hi,
    Information:
    I need to use a security certificate for connection from Business service to legacy system.
    I have created PKI mapper in WebLogic console, deployed keystore on server and Service Key Provider in OSB.
    I can see can connect the certificate in OSB console through the Service Key Provider.
    I have done Authentication setting in the Business service "HTTP Transport Configuration" as "Client Certificate".
    Problem:
    Now whenever I try to invoke BS, the username, password and security key provider is asked at the prompt. Should not the BS collect security certificate automatically? Again,
    when i put username and password as that of WebLogic sbconsole; the error pops up with following message :
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
         <env:Header />
         <env:Body>
              <env:Fault>
                   <faultcode>env:Server</faultcode>
                   <faultstring>Failed to process signature.null</faultstring>
              </env:Fault>
         </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>
    If I don't supply username password and certificate at the time of invoking the message pops up as : "The service requires a digital signature, you must specify a service key provider which has a digital signature credential."
    I think some mistake is done in the above steps, could anybody please clarify?

    The problem was resolved with upgrade to version 10.1.3.4.

  • Please help with web services (JSR 172)

    Hello!
    I'm in need of some help. I've only worked with web services some few weeks. I have two web services that I want to access from J2ME.
    Both works nice in regular Java (J2SE). I use axis so with the help of WSDL2Java I got a working client.
    One of them has four operations
        public boolean tryToLoginUser( String username, String password ) {}
        public boolean tryToLogOffUser( String username, String password ){}
        public boolean createUserAccount( String username, String password ){ }
        public boolean removeUserAccount( String username, String password ){ } The problem is when I want to use Sun's Wireless Toolkit 2.2 and create stubs that way with the Stub Generator. It complains with this
    warning: Operation tryToLoginUser is of the wrong encoding SOAP style/use (rpc/encoded).  Document/literal only.  Skipping generation of operation.
    warning: Operation tryToLogOffUser is of the wrong encoding SOAP style/use (rpc/encoded).  Document/literal only.  Skipping generation of operation.
    warning: Operation createUserAccount is of the wrong encoding SOAP style/use (rpc/encoded).  Document/literal only.  Skipping generation of operation.
    warning: Operation removeUserAccount is of the wrong encoding SOAP style/use (rpc/encoded).  Document/literal only.  Skipping generation of operation.What I can tell is I need to put this in my axis deployment descriptor
    <service name="UserWebService" provider="java:RPC" style="document" use="literal">instead of this:
    <service name="UserWebService" provider="java:RPC">This wont work. It don't work with HTTP GET I get this error

      </soapenv:Envelope>I doesnt work with WSDL2Java and when I run Sun's Wireless Toolkit 2.2 to generate stub it complains with

    warning: ignoring operation "createUserAccount": more than one part in input message
    warning: ignoring operation "removeUserAccount": more than one part in input message
    warning: Port "UserWebService" does not contain any usable operationsDoes this mean I can only use one parameter for input in an operation when I use style="document" use="literal" ??
    I understood it that way, so I created a new web service that takes username and password in one String.
    The new web service has four operations
        public boolean tryToLoginUser( String usernameAndPassword ) {}
        public boolean tryToLogOffUser( String usernameAndPassword ){}
        public boolean createUserAccount( String usernameAndPassword ){ }
        public boolean removeUserAccount( String usernameAndPassword ){ }The problem is that I get this error when running HTTP GET.
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">

      </detail>
      </soapenv:Fault>
      </soapenv:Body>
      </soapenv:Envelope>If I get a WSDL2Java client it works (!) if I manually changes the parameter names. I have four operations which all takes
    String usernameAndPassword
    in one String since I can only use one parameter with style="document" use="literal"
    The WSDL2Java automatically set the parameter names to
    usernameAndPassword
    usernameAndPassword1
    usernameAndPassword2
    usernameAndPassword3
    for the different operations. If I manually changes them to all have the name
    usernameAndPassword
    it works. Why doesnt it work without manual changes? I havent tested the code from Suns Wireless Toolkit 2.2 Stub Generator yet, but that at least doesnt give any errors .
    My other web service doesnt work either if I set style="document" use="literal".
    This web service returns my own classes I have written. It works as I said previously in J2SE with WSDL2Java, but not with style="document" use="literal. When I set this my byte[] which is returned is null when using the client from WSDL2Java, this wasnt the case without style="document" use="literal.
    I also get an error in Suns Wireless Toolkit 2.2 that byte[] is not recoigniced. This wasnt the case with axis WSDL2Java.
    If I put this inside the axis deployment descriptor
    <deployment xmlns="http://xml.apache.org/axis/wsdd/"
             xmlns:java="http://xml.apache.org/axis/wsdd/providers/java">
           <service xmlns:j2melab2="urn:businessobject.j2melab2"

         </service>
    </deployment>axis WSDL2Java wont work anymore. And Suns Wireless Toolkit doesnt work either with this. How can I get this to work with Suns Wireless Toolkit 2.2?
    So my questions are:
    Do I really need style=document use=literal for J2ME?
    Can I only have one parameter as input when I use style=document use=literal ?
    Why do I need to manally change the parameter names?
    How can I make Suns Wireless Toolkit 2.2 understand byte[] ?
    Many thanks for help :) (I have to present a solution in 1 week to my J2ME teacher L).

    hi,
    i was wandering if you manage to successfully generate the stubs through the wireless toolkit at the end? i am currently having similar problem (i.e., trying to generate stub files based on wsdl from axis)? it seems that the WTK can only handle document/literal format, and so i change the wsdl to that. however, now it complains that it can't handle more than one input part in the message, (which is similar to the problem you had). so did you manage to find a solution to that, or J2ME simply does not support more than one arguement as the input?
    thanks in advance,
    lee

  • Problems with Business Services using Email

    Hi,
    I'm trying to create a business service to use an email protocol.
    In ALSB Console, I go to the "Create Business Service" page and select the "Messaging Service" Service Type. When I get to the Transport Configuration, and select the protocol dropdown, I only see HTTP, HTTPS, JMS and Tuxedo. The documentation says email should be only of the supported protocols here, so whats wrong ?

    When creating the business service you specify the service type of your service. If the service type you select is not supported by the email transport it won't show up in the drop-down list. If you selected MIXED type, you can't specify a response, you can't select WSDL based service either or any soap based service.

  • Help with iPod service error

    Greetings,
    I had an issue where my Nano's battery got very low to the point that it was not recognized by my computer. I borrowed an AC charger and got it to charge and work fine but still not be recognized by my computer. I followed the instructions for downloading the HP USB formatter and when I tried to restore using updater 6/28 I get a service error and cannot restore. I tried turning off the fast switch option (which waas on in the past when the computer used to see the ipod in itunes) and then I tried removing itunes and reinstalling it and I get the same error message. It seems to me that the helper files that look for the ipod are missing. The iPod will respond to being reset and the computer recognizes it, but I cannot restore it. Is there a way to restore it without using the latest updater? Any help greatly appreciated.

    the ipod-service/software-required error messages are typically caused by snarlups on the PC side of things.
    the theory behind the registry entries version of this is a little sketchy. i've only encountered about ... ten at the outside? ... confirmed cases of this since Christmas. possibly it's associated with not running installations as an administrator, possibly with running the installs inside a different user account than itunes has already been installed in, possibly with security software interfering with registry changes during the install process.
    if you do run into troubles with key editing, ProgMan and hutch's threads might be of some help:
