Help with changes on ipod touch after OS update

things are different after the latest OS update to my second generation ipod touch. how do i fix these?
-on my recently added smartplaylist, the songs do not show up in order of how they appear on my itunes, in last added order. i already did the copy to play order and synced it
-on my cover flow, there are two of one album and i have no idea why! its fine when its on the regular music part vertically, but horizontally, not. ive checked everything about it. before the update everything was fine. but i even deleted it and put it back on and its still showing up as a double album with every single song and everything the same
-lastly, on the cover flow, unlike the last OS, every song is part of the cover flow even though i do not give it an album name. but only some songs do that. how do i get the singles out of the cover flow.
if anyone has any answer, id really appreciate it. THANKS!

More things wrong after the update!
-My wifi is weak in my house and it's always been best there too
-it says I watched tv shows 4 times in the middle of the night which I didn't
-and before if I were playing a game with sound I could double click the home button and the music player would come up so i can play music instead. But it won't do that anymore. It will only do it if music is playing on the iPod where there is no other sound going on.

  • Help with my new ipod touch

    hello
i seem to be having an issue with my new ipod touch i just replaced my ipod 3rd gen nano with the nano all the songs from an album played together then moved on to the next i cannot get the touch to do the same it lists all the songs in a perticular album on cover flow but when i return it to an upright position a
it lists all my songs in alphabetical order and not grouped together as an album should be i have tried on itunes using the get info and listing them all as a compalation but which works as it groups them all together in cover flow but wont work when i press album in the vertical mode

Whilst upright, switch from 'playlist' mode (bottom of the screen) to artist, touch the artist name in the list, below the 'All Songs' option all your albums by any particular artist/group should be listed so long as your MP3s are tagged properly.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

  • Help with Upgrading my Ipod Touch.

I bought my Ipod Touch back in spring of 2010. I was able to keep the iOS upgraded to version 4.2. But when I go to download new apps and such it says I need version 4.3 or newer. Only Itunes stopped offering me updates for the iOS a long time ago and I can't seem to get it past 4.2. I was wondering if this is something that can be fixed or if it's just something Apple does to keep people buying newer products? Thanks for any help.

There is nothing that can be done.  This is normal.
ALL software driven devices become unable to run the latest software at some point.
Your device is three generations old.  It is not unusual in the least that it is unable to run the latest software.
Ask the app makers to make their apps compatible with the older software.

  • Help with magnifier for ipod touch

    Hi Guys
I'll start of by saying that i am partially sighted. I have an ipod touch 16gb 1st generation and was wondering if there is a way to get the accessibility options on it. i have used an iphone 4 for a while and the accessibility magnifier is excelent but does not seem to be on the ipod touch. somebody said that it's only on the 32gb and 64gb models. is there a way i can get it on mine because if it is only available on the 32gb and 64gb models this is very unfair as it makes people like me have to pay more to be able to have an ipod.
any help would be much apreciated.
    thanks
    Gavin

I got the same exact message I dont know why its not working?????

  • Help with messaging on Ipod Touch

My daughter got an Ipod Touch for Christmas.  My husband and I already have Iphones.  When she send one of us a text, we both get it.  How can we stop that?

Wha tabout this part of my previous reply:
    - Is she calling your phone number or email address? If you all have the same common email address then it will go to Zall devices with that email address that i specified in Setings>Messages>Receive At.
    - Try adding another email adress for Messages to her iPod and delete the existing email address.
I do not have a phone so I do not know if you can call a phone by (or if there is) an email address specified in Settings>Messages>Receive At.  For a phone one usually messages to the phone number.
Are you receiving the messahes in the Messages app or SMS, MMS message?

  • I need help with clearing my ipod touch

I swiped my ipod touch clean to sell it and now its requiring a passcode. How do I clear it? I have tried every password I could imagine and now I am locked out.

Try and force iPod into Recovery Mode; that will by pass the passcode.
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
    2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

  • Problems syncing my iPod Touch after I updated to iOS 8.1

    Hi,
Yesterday, I tried to sync my iPod Touch with iTunes. It was taking a considerable longer time then it generally takes. Finally, it said there not enough room on my iPod, but I should have had  more than enough... I had about 5 gigs available. After I began taking music, videos etc off, I found out that the other content was taking up about 30 gigs. I ended up resetting the iPod. Now it's having problems syncing music, movies & tv.

  • Help with charging my iPod touch on my Macbook Pro

When I plug in the usb from my iPod to my Macbook Pro and the screen is closed, nothing happens. The only time the iPod will actually charge is when the screen is open and the computer is in use. Even if the screen is open, I have to be using it, because once the screen darkens to save energy, the battery stops charging on my iPod.
I know other people simple plug in their iPod to their Macbook and have no problems, even if it is closed. Can you please help me?

It has nothing to do with screen brightness; it has to do with whether the machine is asleep. The screen can be dimmed when the MBP isn't asleep, but your iPod can't be charged via USB while the MBP IS asleep. So if you want the iPod to keep charging, you have to prevent the MBP from sleeping.
