Help with converting a PDF file to excel

I tried to convert my PDF credit card statement to excel but it says the file is password protected.  I did not set it up as a password protected file; it came from my on-line banking site.  Can anyone help?

You must be using the subscription service with Adobe Reader (ExportPDF)?
If so, you would need the password for the pdf. The bank may have (automatically) added a password preventing any changes. That would need to be removed first.

    Hi arcadiak6290381,
Are you still having trouble with ExportPDF? What happens when you try to log in to https://cloud.acrobat.com? Are you receiving an error, or are you prompted to sign up again?
Please try clearing the browser cache, or log in using a different browser.
Let us know how it goes.

    Hi johnhnk2,
Please see Getting Started with ExportPDF | Adobe Community.
That document will tell you what you need to know to get started. Please note, however, that it can take 24-48 hours for an order to process fully.

  • Help with converting a Nero file

I have previously converted a dvd insert designed with Nero into a pdf using adobe acrobat in order to send to someone else.  When I tried to do the same thing today with a new Nero designed insert the conversion wouldn't work.  The message said adobe didn't support the program that created the file.  Any ideas?

    thanks for your response.
When I create a dvd insert or cd label etc using Nero the file extension is nct - nero cover template.  The printer wants the file as a pdf as he can't open Nero files.  I have version 9.3 of acrobat.

Nero is simply a CD/DVD burning application and should have no effect on the type of files that will eventually be on the CD/DVD.
What type of files are you trying to convert and exactly how are you trying to convert them? Plus, it would help to know the version of Acrobat you are using.

Could you please try converting any other PDF file to Excel and check.
You might sign out, clear the browser cache and then again reload at https://cloud.acrobat.com/.
If the problem still persists, then you might try using a different browser.

  • Is it possible to convert several pdf files (into Excel or Word) at the same time ?

I'd like to convert several pdf files (up to 500) into Excel at the same time. Is it possible ? How many files can Export PDF handle at the same time ?
Thanks a lot for your answers,
    Sylvain

    Hi, Sylvain.
This is a great idea! Currently, ExportPDF only can export 1 file at a time. (Acrobat can do a batch export using it's Action Wizard feature.)
I added your idea to our idea list: http://forums.adobe.com/ideas/1499. If you'd like to see us add this feature, please go vote or add comment to this Idea on the idea list.

  • Using my PC Desktop I am trying to convert a PDF file to excel.  When the data is imported to Excel the majority of the data is vertical in the far left colum.

I am trying to import a PDF file from my desktop PC in to Excel using XI Pro.  When the data imports in to excel, the majority of the data is vertical along the far left comumn instead of horizonal along the colums such as name, address, etc.   I need to be able to import the data in to the horizonal categories so I can categorize the data after it is in excel.  Thanks.

    Hi johnc,
I'm sorry to hear that your file didn't convert well for you. Can you please tell me more about the PDF that you're trying to convert? Do you know how it was created? The quality of a conversion depends on the quality of the PDF, and it sounds like the file you have may not include the tagging information that is required to convert that properly into an Excel file. Would you be willing to share that file with me? If so, let me know and I'll send you a private message with my contact details.

  • Please help with problem in PDF file and printing

I have created an Illustrator file with a logo on it. The logo looks fine in Illustrator (CS3 and CS5). If I use "save as" to then save the .ai file to a .pdf file, the logo looks the same as in the .ai file. However, if I use "print" to create a .pdf file, the logo sometimes loses some of the elements in it.
Here is what the logo should look like:
Below is what it looks like when I use "print" to generate the PDF file:
An additional problem is that even if I used "save as" to generate the pdf file, some times, when the file is actually printed physically onto paper, the logo appears in the wrong version (although it looks right on screen).
Can someone help me with this? I am quite desparet right now because I can't see how I can control this.
Also, is there any way I can attached the .ai file so someone can look at it?
The white lines that disappear are not "lines" they are a slightly larger shape placed behind the smaller black one in fonrt.
    Thanks for any help!

Why are you "printing to pdf"? Does "Save As" yield better results?

  • Need help with converting a Divx file

I am having a **** of a time converting a Divx file to use in FCP.
This is the file I am trying to work with: http://www.archive.org/details/F6FHellcat_PilotInstruction (It's the 164 MB Divx file)
While I have downloaded other Divx files from the same site and used QT to convert them to QT movies, this file is not playable by QT or a number of other programs.
The only program I have found that plays this file is VLC.
When trying to convert to a QT file, VLC is unsuccessful at everything EXCEPT changing the container to QT.
When I change the container, I get a QT file that is playable in QT and FCP, but it does not have audio. This is not a big deal.
The bigger problem is that when I play the new file in QT, the duration matched that of the original file.
When I import the file into FCP, the duration is 2 minutes shorter. The last 2 minutes are missing!
I'd appreciate any suggestions you may have on how to get a usable file from the original.
    Thanks.

If the audio is no big deal, you can use Wondershare Video Converter, but it will set you back 40 clams.
You can download a free trial from their site.
    http://www.dvd-ripper-copy.com/video-converter-mac.html
I got it to convert successfully and it imported into FCP completely intact...but without audio.
