Help with description of Business Area!

Hi everyone!
I really need help with a field, 'cause I can't find in which database table is saved, the filed that I'm using is BSEG-GSBER and it throws me a number of a business area, but I also need the name of the business area and that's the field that I can't find.
If anyone can help me to find that field, I'll really appreciate it.
Have a good day and thanks for your time!

Hi,
Take a look at TGSBT table, this is the text table for TGSB which is the master table for Business areas.
TGSBT has got the names that you are looking for in all the languages that have been maintained.

  • Help with expression for business days

    Dear Frends,
    I need help with business days expression.
    The report is for call center operation. Whenever a user calls in and opens an issue it is recorded as a case. And each case is associated with create time and valueofone(which is always one).
    My report contains 'case type' as the first column, and rest of the columns are age buckets(col1: 0-5 days, col2: 6-10 days). By saying agebuckets I mean number of days between create date and current date. All the cases that are less than 5 days older will go to first column and similarly all the cases that are 6-10 days old will go to the second column and so on.
    In a normal case I use the following case statement: case when daysbetween(current_date, create_date) between x1 and x2 then count(valueofone) else null end
    But I need to calculate only the business days as age, so I need an expression look something like this: case when (_days_between(current_date, create_date)-no of holidays) between x1 and x2 then count(valueofone) else null end
    Note: My calendar table has a column 'Business Day' which assigns 'Y' to Business day and 'N' to holiday.
    Any help with this expression or any suitable way.
    Regards
    Chilla

    If you have a calendar table, wouldn't your function be just
    CREATE FUNCTION business_days_between( p_day1 IN DATE, p_day2 IN DATE )
      RETURN NUMBER
    IS
      l_cnt NUMBER;
    BEGIN
      SELECT COUNT(*)
        INTO l_cnt
        FROM calendar_table ct
       WHERE ct.business_day = 'Y'
         AND ct.<<date column>> >= trunc(p_day1)
         AND ct.<<date column>> < trunc(p_day2);
      RETURN l_cnt;
    END;Basially, count the number of rows in your calendar table that are business days between the two dates.

  • Help with 11i E-Business Suite Install on Windows XP

    I've tried unsuccessfully to install the E-Business Suite on Windows XP machine. I repeatedly get the following message during the install (I start from a clean restored environment each time) " RW-20001 Error: Unzip failed: Insufficient disk space: Please create enough space for the intstall". I get this message even though I have only used 100GB of a total of 500GB. I'm installing from DVDs provided by Oracle.
    I also get an error message related to the "Listener". The detail of this message is included below.
    Any suggestions to get past this would be appreciated.
    Question on the Domain Name Configuration:
    When i follow the instructions from a previous thread and do
    C:\ipconfig I get the following:
    Connection-specific DNS Suffix: PMSC.COM
    IP Address : 192.168.0.103
    I added PMSC.COM per the instructions in the thread.
    The original entry in the host file was:
    127.0.0.01 localhost
    It is now:
    127.0.0.01 localhost
    127.0.0.01 localhost.PMSC.COM
    I'm trying to set this up as a standalone installation with everything on the harddrive of this computer. I'm confused as to what the correct host entry should be and if this is the cause of my intallation failures. I can provide as much information as possible to help diagnose my probelms. Thanks.
    The only error messages I can find in the log files show a problem with the Listener. The error message is as follows:

    1. Make sure the user installing the apps has admin priviledges
    2. Create a staging area from the DVD if you can - since you have so much space on your system, then attempt the installation from the staging area. The perl script to use is already on the DVD - adautostg.pl
    3. > Connection-specific DNS Suffix: PMSC.COM
         IP Address : 192.168.0.103
    and you added
         127.0.0.01 localhost.PMSC.COM, I feel it should have been
         192.168.0.103 localhost.PMSC.COM ( if localhost is your server name. Adding this will nto affect anything)
    although I can see from your log file, that the server name is pmsc_main, if so you have to add the servername.domainname.com to the host file too, such as
         192.168.0.103 pmsc_main.pmsc.com.
    Essentially, when you ipconfig, it has to return pmsc_main.pmsc.com against the IP address of your server - i.e. 192.168.0.103 and / or 127.0.0.01

  • Need Help with Skype for Business!

    I purchased the Skype for business for an entire year. Now, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to log in. Do I have to link it to original skype? I am new to this and have no knowledge of the formats of Skype or it for business.
    Subject/title expanded to reflect post content a little more accurately.

    Hi, and no need to feel stupid!
    Welcome to this on-line community.
    A few questions for you to clarify the Skype product you are working with, so we can send you in the right direction in an effort to resolve the problem:
    Are you referring to either Skype Manager, or Skype Connect?  Do you recall what "business" product you have?
    Or, what are you trying to sign in to?  A Skype account via the Skype website, or the software itself?
    This FAQ article should help unravel the mysteries of the differences between a personal Skype account and a Skype For Business (formerly known as Lync) configuration: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA34551/what-s-the-difference-between-skype-and-skype-for-business
    Thanks in advance for providing the additional details.

  • Help with Creating a Business Rule...

    Hi All,
    I am using Planning 11.1.1.1.0.
    I have created a classic planning application and now have to incorporate a way to copy data from one slice of the essbase db to other.
    I am trying to copy data from the following slice
    Entity : EasternZone
    Version:Working (Bottom Up)
    Scenario: Actuals
    Currency:USD
    Period:YearTotal
    Year: 2007
    to
    Entity : EasternZone
    Version:Working (Bottom Up)
    Scenario: Actuals
    Currency:USD
    Period:YearTotal
    Year: 2008 and increase by a certain percentage which is not fixed..
    How should i go about achieving this using business rules? (Calc manager is used with only EPMA applications so where do i create the business rule?) Can somebody share some ideas please?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Kind Regards.
    Alicia

    Hi!
    Are you transferring data in same application from db to another? If yes, then possibly you could use @xref function.
    for example :
    fix ("EasternZone", "Working","Actuals","USD","YearTotal")
    "2008" = @xref("_name of source db location alias_","2007")*[RunTimePrompt for percentage];
    endfix
    The name of the location alias you can find from destination db --> edit --> location aliases. There you can see the location alias name of the source db.
    if you want to be sure about block creation then you could also add the following rows at the beginning
    /*fix ("EasternZone", "Working","Actuals","USD","YearTotal","any account")*/
    /* "2008" = 0;*/
    /*endfix*/
    kind regards,

  • Please Help with Physics Project Here are the codings

    I've got three(3) classes a Model, a view, and a controller.
    This is a project about projectiles.it is an animation of a cannonball being fired from a cannon and travelling under the effect of gravity.A cannon fired at angle 'a' to the horizontal and with an initial speed 's', will have an initial velocity given by:

  • Help with left side panel area in lightroom 5

    I am having trouble with left side panel  in, library - lightroom 5. I don't seem to be able to open more than one area at a time. ie: if I open catalog and then try to open folder..catalog will close. I have also noticed that the little triangle that I click on to open and close an area is not a solid triangle but is kind of dotted. Have I done something to change the settings or something? I want to set up a new collection but I can't open both folder and collection at the sametime. HELP!

    Right click next to one of the headers and a popup will let you change how the panel is displayed. See screen capture.

  • Need help with ADF and Business Intelligence BI integration

    Hi All,
    I am using JDev 11.1.1.6.0.
    I am trying to integrate BI Dashboard into my ADF application.
    The BI Dashboard that I am integrating includes prompts, and using the prompt value, the table inside the dashboard is filtered. So, when I drag and drop the dashboard into the page, it asks me the the prompt value with Dashboard Prompts dialog.
    The problem is that even though I entered value into the prompt value (Value 1, Value 2) in the dialog, the table is not filtered. It's like it is not using the value that I entered.
    I also tried to bind the prompt value (in the dialog box) with the attribute binding in my page. But it's also not working.
    Could you please help me with this issue? Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    cmoster

    I have not done this myself , but thought that some tips here might help you -

  • Update GL accounts (historical data) with new Business Area values

    Hi experts,
    Situation:
    One company code with multiple plants already productive w/o Business Area.
    Business Area would be implemented soon to internally differenciate the company code.
    What is needed:
    To update with various values the GL account balances with a proper Business Area, as required, for instance starting on a new year. Something like executing a balance carry forward and be able to add the business area.
    Purpose:
    For internal analysis and reporting to be able to compare data without having to deal with historical data having the field Buisness Area 'blank' .
    Question:
    Does any body knows if a tool or program is available to do so?
    Your responses are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    GG

    Hi,
    this message cannot be changed (OBA5) nor a new analysis period for the costcenter is helpful if any plan / actual data is posted already in this fiscal year.
    If its not only test data (which can be deleted and than the change can be done) the only way is to add the business area in cost center master by maintaining CSKS-table directly if you are allowed to do so...
    If there are balance sheet items (eg assets assigned to such a cost center, the balance sheet postings from asset accounting are posted with the busines area from cost center master) you have to repost them in GL accounting otherwise business area wise balance sheet is wrong.
    Best regards, Christian

  • Error in VL02N: Business Area 701 does not exist

    Hi experts,
    There's an error that occurs while trying to post a delivery in VL02N, a display log is opened with the message "Business Area X does not exist", the Business Area "1701" is already created, nevertheless, when I try to post the delivery I cheked the Business Area in the Financial Processing tab and it appears as "701" instead of "1701".
    I hope any of you can help me.
    Thanks in advance
    Eloy Venegas

    hi,
    For the Sales Area, check the rule for determining the Bzness Area(S&D>Basic Functions>Account Assgmnt/Costing>Business Area Account Assignment>...) and make sure ur bzness area '1701' is assigned to the sales area/or any combination that you've defined in the rule.
    Let us know, if this helps?
    Reward, if helpful.
    Rgds,
    Raghu.
