Help with downloading files

When I use a usb connection to connect my palm pre to my computer neither my computer nor the phone recognize the connection. I would like to be able to transfer files from my computer to the phone. Is there special software needed to do this? Any help would be appreciated.

That's strage. Seems that the Camera Raw.8bi file has been moved to different location or has gone corrupt. By any chance did you try to move the camera raw plugin to a custom location?
Go To "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS5\File Formats" and look for Camera Raw.8bi file.
If you have that file there, try to download the updated camera raw plugin from the below location.

In case you ae not able to locate the Camera Raw.8bi file on the above location, then i think you need to re-install PS CS5.

Help with add file name problem with Photoshop CS4

Frustrating problem: Help with add file name problem with Photoshop CS4. What happens is this. When I am in PS CS4 or CS3 and run the following script it runs fine. When I am in Bridge and go to tools/photoshop/batch and run the same script it runs until it wants interaction with preference.rulerunits. How do I get it to quit doing this so I can run in batch mode? Any help is appreciated. HLower

From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

Help required with downloading files from inside WEB-INF folder

I am working on a web application and I have an upload script which uploads different files to a foler called 'uploads' . To stop users from accessing the folder content I have put it in the /WEB-INF/.
In my JSP file, I used to link to the uploaded files like this before for users to download them :

Anything under WEB-INF is not directly accessible via the browser/ client. You could try defining the JSP/ Servlet inside web.xml deployment descriptor and see if you can access the file from there.
I think a better way to accomplish this would be to keep the file outside WEB-INF , and use other techniques to protect the folder that contains the file - for example password-protection, or defining a .htaccess file and serving a 403 Forbidden error.

Help with Lost Files and Previews!

Hi all!
I'm in a bit of a panic. I imported a folder into Lightroom and made standard previews.
I have large standard sized previews (and some 1:1 previews) on top of my mini thumbnails.
The I did something very very stupid... I accidentally deleted my original photos!!!!
The original photos are gone for good (yes, I stupidly emptied the trash).
Of course it's now appearing in Red in my Lightroom library.
So here's the help I need.... I still have the large standard size previews in Lightroom. It's not as big as my original files but it's better than nothing!
How can I convert my existing previews into JPG files? I tried Exporting the files, but Lightroom returns an error. It seems to look for the original files.
Is there a way for me to pull out and save these standard previews?

What kind of computer are you on? If you haven't done much with your computer since and your disk is not nearly full, you may be able to retrieve them.
If it's windows, I've used freeundelete:

There is a thread about getting the previews but I don't remember the details.
And after you do those two things, it's time to review your procedures. Like don't delete the files from your camera card UNTIL you do a backup? Which LR can do if you like.

Hi, I am using a9300 MTN as my service provider! Lately I cannot download or open any files on the internet! I hav rebooted my phone numerous times and the problem still persists! Cud it be a software issue or is my service provider having trouble with providing internet service to us! Help!! Really getting frustated!!☹

Will someone please help me download and reinstall Adobe Photoshop Elements 7? I have a new computer and have lost a ton of photos which are supposed to be in Adobe Revel.

and activate with your serial number.
if you have a dl problem, you didn't follow all 7 steps. typically, failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem.

How downloaded objects/document are treated in browser is purely "browser defined behavior". Sometime someone said that or these kind of files (recognized by miome contenet - alias file extension) default behavior will be "show inline" or show in browser. This is esspecially true for Adobe 7.x and IE 6.x and Firefox 2.x....
For a test of my thoughts, install new browser (let say Opera or Mozila) and try to download LOB(doc). I'm sure that "Save As" dialog will show!

Need Help with .nnlp File.............A.S.A.P.

I'm having a problem also with my JNLP file. I have downloaded the program onto one computer and that computer is using j2re1.4.2_04
The other computers I believe are all running j2re 1.4.2_05
I'm not sure if that's make a difference, but on the computer with j2re 1.4.2_05 when going to the site where the .jnlp file is located, the application comes up and says Starting Application. After it gets to that screen it just stays there. I really need help with this as soon as possible.

This was due to a change in 1.4.2_05
the main class attribute
main-class="com/asisoftware/placewiz/loader/Exec">is wrong - it should be:
main-class="com.asisoftware.placewiz.loader.Exec">this didnt seem to mater before 1.4.2_05, but some change in java since then caused this bad class specification to stop loading.

Need help with simple file sharing application

I have an assignment to build a Java File Sharing application. Since I'm relatively new to programming, this is not gonna be an easy task for me.
Therefore I was wondering if there are people willing to help me in the next few days. I will ask questions in this thread, there will be loads of them.
I already have something done but I'm not nearly halfway finished.
Is there a code example of a simple file sharing application somewhere? I didn't manage to find it.
More-less, this is what it needs to contain:
-client/server communication (almost over)
-file sending (upload, download)
-file search function (almost over)
-GUI of an application.
GUI is something I will do at the end, hopefully.
I hope someone will help me. Cheers

The user logs in with his nickname and ip address. He defines his own shared folder and makes it available for other users that log on to server.
Now each user has their own list of files from a shared folder. It's an ArrayList.
User manager class is there to store another list, a list of users that are connected with server.
When the user is searching for a particular file, he is searching through all the users and their respective files lists. Therefore for each loop inside a for each loop.
Now the problem is how to connect all that with Client and Server class and put it into one piece.
