Help with Dreamweaver CS6 for Mac

I am a long time user of Dreamweaver CS 5.5 for PC and recently purchased an IMac. I have a trial version of Dreamweaver CS6 for Mac and am having difficulty displaying an html file in Live View. I always used "Preview in Browser" in CS 5.5 and need this same feature. I have an active site that I imported into CS6 and the site uses templates. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a purchased legal version of Office for Mac 2011 on my personal laptop, and I just purchased one for the house (kids). I do not have the original product key. How do I get it registered so I can download a version to install on the laptop?
I have also logged in (or created accounts) with my two e-mail addresses, but it says neither is associated with Office. I am not sure what to do. Thx!!

Help with using MACROS for mac

I have a serious issue and not sure if Im in the right place. i just started school. I am try to using the riverpoint writer on my mac, but for some reason it keeps saying that it cant load visual basic for application. Has anyone had this problem and if so can you tell me how you resolved it. that you for your help in advance.

I must say sir I went thru it trying to get something that worked with riverpoint writer. And guess what I had to do in order for it to work on my macbook. REINSTALL OFFICE FOR MACS, thats all. Now its up and running and I am please, after searchin and spending unneccesary money on products that I did not need after all. Thank you for steering me wrong, to where I almost gave up.

Ok so.. i need some help. For a resume, I want to make bullets like laterally. Like normally you have bullets when you have like a list of things one after another on separate lines. what if I want multiple bullets on the same line?

Help with GBA Emulators for Mac?

Hey there,
I recently tried to use a GBA Emulator to play Pokemon FireRed. I used VisualBoyAdvance with no issues at first, except it seems to not to save properly. I can save from the menu, get an error message, quit and the save will be there, but the save file doesn't appear in the VBA folders and if it quits/crashes or anything else I lose all my data.
My charizard was nearly level 40, now I have to start again....
I've been trawling the internet for solutions to the save issue with VBA, but nothing seems to work. I've looked at other emulators like No$GBA and Boycott but they seem to all come with issues of their own before I even get to saving anything.
I'm using a Macbook Air, OS X 10.9.3
Does anyone have any solution that actually works to make VBA work, or know of an emulator for mac that runs smoothly?

Need help with Organizer 9 for Mac

My PSE 9 for Mac organizer has no map view. I followed the instructions but cannot find it. Any one else have this problem?

Site with templates does not open (Was: dreamweaver cs6 for mac)

I downloaded a site that uses templates and the files do not open properly. I also downloaded a site that does not use templates and all of those files load correctly. What should I do differently for the site using templates?

Some web browsers will not open a .dwt file (.dwt stands for Dreamweaver Template). You can change the associations for files in your operating system, by right (or [control]-) clicking on the file and choosing "Get Info" from the popup dialog window.
Then, in the "Get Info" window, choose "Open With" and pick the application you wish associated with the file.
Also, within Dreamweaver, you can set up what web browsers will preview a file by going to Preferences>Preview in Browser and choosing the browser(s) you want to preview your documents in. You can also pick which browser you wish to have as your primary. That will usually be [option]-[F12] to preview.
If you are working with Macintosh, you ought to download and install the Big Three browsers: Safari (which came with your Mac) Firefox and Google's Chrome.
Microsoft has chosen to quit producing Internet Exploiter for Macintosh, despite the fact that lots of people develop websites on Macintosh (and they whine when their browser is ill-supported). I did find that they're offering something for Macintosh, but it's virtualization and I have not tested it.
You need to test for IE7, 8. 9 and assume 10 is going to be compliant (though it's probably not). The Microsoft solution may not let you test all three.
Since Apple, Mozilla and Google provide automatic updates, you don't need to support old versions of those three browsers. And Nancy O. tends to suggest that ending support for older versions of Microsoft's browser is worth not doing. I, personally have one website that I have decided to not support versions below Internet Exploder 9 and another that uses the same feature is under development.

Can anyone help with Dreamweaver CS6 crashing in Mavericks OS?

I've been going through all the discussions and performing all the steps that are in these forums about Dreamweaver crashing on launch, with no luck. I am using an iMac 2007, Mavericks OS and Dreamweaver is the only software in the Creative suite that will not launch.
I was on a live chat with Adobe and was told they would contact me from their technical support team and haven't heard a thing. Now I keep going through support trying to get a phone number, at this point I will pay to get it fixed.

Need Help with mysql admin for Mac

Hello all.
I am new to cold fusion and databases all together. Infact I
am doing an online tutorial to get me started, my problem is the
tutorial really just scratches the surface for the mac side and in
some cases sorta explains how to do but no visual help and I am
very visual.
I am searching for software that is really idiot proof to
start my knowledge with then make the transition when I learn more
and more to hard coding. The tutorial suggests Navicat for Mysql
admin and it is nice but he is setting up basic databases in Access
which looks really easy and I am trying to follow along with
navicat but I am just not getting it specifically when it comes to
setting up relationships between tables. Can I use a software like
FileMaker Pro and just convert to mysql or is their other software
that makes it a little more easy to understand how to set up
relationships like access does.
I am totally new to this stuff and I am looking for the
easiest product to use. Thanks again for your help and time.

As for the database part, before you write your first query,
you should become grounded in the concepts of data modeling. Then
find a good source (book, books-on-line, etc. ) for the particular
"flavor" of SQL used by your database of choice, then start writing
your queries. Data model first (entities, relationships,
attributes), then SQL.
Couple of fairly good online tutorials for data modeling.

Master this and you will save yourself many hours of grief,

Dreamweaver CS6 for Mac: Is there a way to display the file path in Design View?

Under Windows, DW's Design View shows you the path to the current file, right next to the document tab. I noticed the Mac version omits this handy feature. For those of us who work with lots of similarly named files distinguished only by folders, being able to quickly see what folder we're in is crucial. (see image below -- that's where Windows shows you the path, but is blank in Mac)
Is there something I'm missing, or some way to get that functioning? I know that I can see the path if I switch to Live View, but that is kludgy and breaks my workflow.

I use CoderPlus workspace & tabbed panels. For me, the file url is on the far right side. See screenshot.
If you click the "Page Icon" in upper right corner to tile, the URL shows on the left side.

Very strange JavaScript bug in Dreamweaver CS6 for Mac

I'm not sure if this works only on a Mac, but it definitely works on any documents containing JavaScript that I create.
Type these characters exactly on a new line or at the end of any line of JS code in Dreamweaver. Works in a <script> tag in an HTML file and in a .js file. Copy/paste also works if you don't feel like typing, but watching the transformation is kinda worth the work.

Note what happens to the first / and the end of 'instances'... If you change any of these characters, even add a space at the end, it doesn't work. It has to be that phrase exactly.
Is this just happening to me?

Hmmm.. I'm using 5808. It's nothing serious, just kind of comical.
Here's a screenshot of what happens on my machine. I'll update my Dreamweaver and see if it fixes it.

Help with PS CS4 for Mac (Lion 10.7.3)

I bought Photoshop CS4 about a year and a half ago and it worked on my old Macbook (10.5.8) absolutely fine. I recently upgraded to a Macbook Pro (Lion 10.7.3) and now Photoshop crashes about every ten minutes for no apparent reason. By "crashes" I mean that the spinning wait cursor appears and I am forced to use force quit as Photoshop is no longer responding.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, turned off automatic graphics switching (I read on a similar discussion that this might help) and nothing seems to work. It's very very frustrating, made more frustrating by the fact that neither Apple or Adobe seem to be able to speak to me in person about this matter. I desperately need Photoshop for my work and any help would be greatly appreciated.

do your crashes generate an Apple and Adobe crash reports?
if so, copy the Adobe report and paste it here
try this for some basic maintance & troubleshooting in the meantime
