Help with Errors in JAVA
I support a web site that utilizes the Sun Java viewer for viewing real estate documents. A very small percentage of our users will get the error: "Invalid tiff header, not mm or ii" when they try to view an image they have purchased.
An even smaller percentage will only be able to view documents under 2-3 pages, anything over that and they get the same error.
I have tried checking settings in Internet Explorer for the problem. I make sure Java is enabled; I also make sure that they have a recent version of the software installed.
All of our users are on Win XP and use IE.
Does anybody have an idea?

First of all thank you for responding!
The images that some customer can't view are viewable by everyone. It happens so infrequently it is hard to track down what makes their machine not be able to view it and everyone else has no issues. It is very issolated. The only common element is the invalid .tiff header error.
Is there a place to increase the file size allowable to be viewed on the customer's side?

I thought it may be the CLASSPATH, but all my class files are located in the
same folder and I used the switch -classpath but the same error comes up. -

I have model DC and this DC is giving me error Generation aborted with error null (java.lang.OutOfMemoryError)
I encounter the error as soon as I open project/DC in navigator.
Error goes away as soon as I build my DC but reappears if I close and open my DC again.
Any idea, how to deal with this?

can you please switch on the PDE Error Log View (window -- show view -- other -- PDE) and after error reproduction provide the relevant error here? Check also the ".log" file in the ".metadata" folder of your NWDS workspace.
Further, please tell the version of your NWDS (help -- about).
Does this error occur only if you expand the model node? Are other colleagues facing this issue, or reproducible on your end?
Did you alter the file in your eclipse folder (on 700 this is vm.parameters, as of 7.1 it is SapNetweaverDeveloperStudio.ini) ?

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. What you posted is merely an identifier of the error report sent to Adobe, but that is locked away safely on teh servers and nobody here has access to it.

I wish I knew what I was looking at here, hopefully someone can make sense of this for me?
Yesterday I started up Flex Builder 3 and had an error. All I could see was java this java that...so I reinstalled java, hoping that might do something.
now I get a little different error than I saw, but I still see a lot of java references.

From your description, you want to achieve the following goal:
Configure Exchange to filter the attachments if the size is over 10 MB and store it in a public folder, and then forward the email to Salesforce.
Based on my knowledge, I'm afraid that it can't be achieved. Exchange can filter messages with attachments, but it couldn't store these attachments on public folder automatically. Also, I don't see any transport rule can do it.

Hi, I'm building a Flash website.
I've used frames with names to contain the different 'pages'
of the site. On the frame called 'SVHS1' I've built an XML mp3
player with buttons and a volume slider.
I'm having a couple of problems with this section of the
site.
Firstly: when I 'test movie' and navigate to the mp3 player
section it all works fine, the mp3s load correctly, the playback
controls work fine, and the volume slider does what it's supposed
to do. But if I've used the volume slider to adjust the volume (and
only then) and then navigate to the next frame 'SVHS2' (or any
frames that are later in the main timeline) I get multiple
occurrences of the following error in the output pane:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method
of a null object reference.
At PSPWebsite1_fla::MainTimeline/adjustVolume()
I understand (from reading other posts/help etc.) in
principle what is causing this, but my knowledge of AS3 is too
limited to know exactly what is wrong with my script or how to fix
it.
Secondly: if I press the stop button on my mp3 player and
then navigate to another frame (any frame before or after
‘SVHS1’) the site works fine, and the mp3 player works
perfectly if I go to that frame again. But if I navigate to another
frame without first stopping the song it continues to play even
though I’m not on the mp3 player frame, and if I go back to
the mp3 player before the song has finished it starts playing
automatically from the beginning of the first song in the XML list
again and simply doubles up the sound, which is horrible. When this
happens the playback controls only affect the 2nd version
(understandably).
I think this is probably quite simple to fix, assuming that I
have to write some script that tells the mp3 player to stop playing
if/when the user navigates away from that frame...but I don’t
know how to do this.
Any help with either of the above would be much appreciated.
The attached script is for the mp3 player frame.You can consider the trace function as being a "can you hear
me now" helper (instead of an annoying tv commercial gimmick). It
displays whatever it's told to in the same output window that you
see that error message come up in. There are two ways I'll usually
use it.
I'll often end up simply using a trace("here"); as a means of
seeing where a process is getting hung up. I gradually move that
line of code thru what I know to be the step by step sequence of
the code until "here" no longer shows up. It normally indicates
that the preceding line of code is where the ball got dropped.
In AS3, which is often a little more helpful when it trips on
something, such as the error message you received which tells you
there's a problem in the adjustVolume function, you can use it to
see what element in that function is either undefined or out of
scope.
Place... trace(vol); ... just after the first line of code in
that function to see if vol is a number. If it is, then you know
that line is okay and you can move on to check the next line. If it
isn't a number, then move the trace before that line and change it
to... trace(volume_mc.slider_mc.x); ... and see if it is a value.
If it isn't, then change the trace to check to see what
trace(volume_mc); results in.... so on and so on.
It's basically a process of working your way thru code to
narrow down what piece is the undefined/out-of-scope (or a syntax
error) element that is causing the problem. -

Jkmanoif you got into the bios/uefi and have determined that the hdd is being detected then that is good. At least the hdd is operating to some extent, although still may be corrupt OS or the like.
Eagle asked you what OS your using (i.e., Windows 8.1 64-bit, Windows 7 32-bit, etc.). I see that English is not your native language so we'll just have to work with that as best we can.
Did you make any changes to the operating system (OS) as a result of the link you posted, and what were they?

Why are the animations so choppy?
I just did an upgrade to Yosemite and the animations (like entering Mission Control) are quite choppy. I have a late 2013 rMBP with 16GB of RAM, 2.6GHz Quad Core i7, NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M, and 1TB SSD. Mavericks had no issues and was always smooth.
