Help with fixing my iTunes - Corrupt File

I need help trying to correct the problem with my iTunes. I just installed the new iTunes update, iTunes 6.0.1, and now my iTunes isn't working properly. Everytime I open my iTunes, my library is gone. Luckily I saved my library before, but I don't want to keep reloading it over and over again when I open iTunes.
I keep getting a message saying, "iTunes.exe - Corrupt File" with a message saying "The file or directory C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\Itunes Library.itl is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the Chkdsk utility"
I tried to repair iTunes, reinstalling it over and over again, and running the Chkdsk utility, but nothing works.
I am stumped and don't know what to do now.

good lord ... okay, if it's not a hard drive problem, let's try downloading some fresh definitions and doing vigorous spyware and virus scans.

To read the 'Input help with fixed values' of domain , you can use the function module : HR_P_GET_FIXED_VALUE_TEXT.
iIf you enter the domain name, you will find the fixed values entered in the domain.
These values are stored in a table DD07L(DD zero 7 L). Here the values are stored based on domain name.
See if it works for you.

IPhone won't completely delete songs in iTunes (corrupted files?)

Hey guys,
I've been working on this issue for nearly two days now, and I just have no idea of how to fix it. The issue: in iTunes, my iPhone says I have multiple albums/songs on the phone, despite me trying multiple times to delete them, and despite them not actually appearing on my phone. These are all songs that have been purchased, and are on the cloud. On my actual iPhone screen, the songs don't appear at all, since I deleted them. But when I plug my phone into my computer, in my iTunes, the songs remain - they're just dimmed, with dotted circles on the left of them. My goal is to have all of these songs deleted from the iPhone altogether, and have that appear both on the phone and in iTunes. It seems like these are corrupted files, but I have no idea how to get rid of them. This is how my iTunes and my iPhone look, right now.
I've done the following things:
--I've fooled around with redownloading them from the cloud on the iPhone separate from the computer, then plugging it into my computer to delete them in iTunes. But even after I delete them in iTunes, it constantly brings the files back after I sync.
-I checked and unchecked the items in iTunes, before syncing. It lets me delete them; but again, after I click Sync, the files return.
-I deleted all of the music from my iTunes library, and I turned off the Manually Manage Music option, so that the iPhone would sync with the iTunes and delete everything from the phone. The result was all the music on the iPhone being deleted...except these straggling files that I'm having this issue with.
Does anyone have any other tips? I don't want to reset to factory settings because I have a couple work apps on the phone that I can't find links to to redownload them. And the iPhone managing apps are not an option; I can't download apps on this computer. I've been troubleshooting online, but I'm not sure if I'm just doing some of these things incorrectly. Can anyone help me?

I've reset it - erased all content and settings - and they're still there! Though I restored it from the Cloud. Not sure if that would influence it.

How to re-create itunes library with the original itunes library files?

My harddrive was dying so I brought it in to get it replaced. After the replacement was done, my itunes didn't seem to work properly. All my songs are still in the same folders but the library appeared to be corrupted. I attempted to reimport the itunes xml file but still no good.
My question: Is there a way to re-generate a brand new itunes library? All my songs are still intact in \music directory.
Any help appreciated.

Can you help with restoring my itunes library?

I backed up my iTunes library to my external hard driver per the instructions on the website. I have now rebooted my computer to default settings, downloaded iTunes and I am trying to restore my library. The instructions are to hold the SHIFT key when opening iTunes, this gives me the option to "Choose a Library", when I browse for my iTunes folder which i have already copied back from my hard drive and select this and click Open, it just takes me through to the folders where the albums and songs are stored and then says there are no files which match the criteria and wont let me restore the library. I really dont want to have to add each album back to my library one by one. Can you help?

Scan the drive for files of the form *.itl - you may have managed to backup the media without saving the library database. If you can find the .itl file then it should be possible to fix up the library, otherwise it will be possible to reimport the media (in one go - File > Add Folder to Library) and I can suggest some tools for restoring ratings & playlists from your iPod.

Help with fixing package

Almost a year ago, the SVN URL for the redeclipse-svn package changed. At that time, it was orphaned, so I adopted the package and fixed the URL in the PKGBUILD. Since then, I stopped playing the game. Now, when I try to install it on my new computer, the package function fails. Sorry for derailing this. Karol, the size was only an issue for me - that doesn't seem to be related to the OPs problems. I don't know where the 800MB figure came from, but nearly 2GB of space were used up before the svn checkout stalled due to running out of space - the download never even completed. I didn't try again after that as my download speed isn't that good and it would take a long while to just confirm what I already suspected about the Makefile.

Help with my library and adding files

Help me please I opened up Itunes and files that I have deleted from the itunes library are showing up again and agian....does anybody know what is going on? Also when I add folders to my library not all ot he music is found....any ideas??

Not unless you have set up some form of Folder Actions - and you would know if you have. But a simple test: do your import actions as normal and then open iPhoto. Are the newest additions there?

Help with exporting Deski to text file via Web Intelligence

We are currently converting from BO version 5 to BO XI rev2. I have a report that must be scheduled to a flie in plain text format. I am using a deski report. When I save as to text, the file is fine. When I schedule it in webi, the file seems to be missing the end of line character for each row in the table, so it cannot be used for an import to another program. Can anybody help with this?-

well, in that case you need to determine if this issue only happens with a perticular report or all of them, if it happens only with reports imported from 5.x or with newly created reports as well.
Looks like it is happening only when report is exported from Infoview, not in the Deski client. This might indicate a problem at the Web Apllication server (tomcat or one you use).
If this issue is happening with any report - it might be a bug. In that case you have no options as there are no more patches for XIR2.
On the other hand - if all you need is to extract data for consumption in another tool , why not use Data integrator instead ?
Also, if this desn't work in Deski - does it work if you convert your reports to webi and export from those ?

Help with saving my itunes attributes

Ok. i resecntly got a fifth gen ipod, and i love it. The itunes is great. User friendly and i can customize everything. i love it. but i do have 1 concern that needs an answer.
i'm running a computer that was pretty much a mailorder pc taht started out on WIn 98 se, fat32 system. i upgraded to xp about 2 years ago. anyway, SO i have my library on an external hardrive, so losing my info isnt really my worry. BUT i do have all the songs just a certain way (compilations, shufle/no shuffle, gapless play, so on) and tehre are some mp3s on my hardrive that i dotn want in teh library... but i still want on teh hardrive (my ipod right now is sitting at about 50 gigs).
anyway, about 2 or 3 weeks ago i got hit with akiller virus with spam popups from ****. so i just re-formatted it and started over, well, i saved teh itunes library as a xml file AND as the itunes library file. well, when i loaded it on the new computer, it showed all the attributes, it shoed all teh mp3s.... it just had no idea of where they were. lol. so i wouldve had to have gone thorugh and refind each and every one of my 14000 mp3s. (now theres a slight, slight chance that my external hardrive might have been turned off when i tred this, but i doubt it).
now, this crap is back again, but i have pinpiointed the source of it. so i wil no longer be doing hose online activities, but i'd like to format it one more tiem to have a fresh start. NOW is there anyway that i can save all teh attributes and the file paths and everything so i can just load in the xml file and just have my library be exactly as it was? or will i have to start all over from scrath, drag and drop my mp3 folder with my personal defined prefences not yet set???
ALSO, with teh files i bought off itunes, i had to have those files re-authorized, and now i'm down to 3 more authorizations... they are on teh external hardrive, same hardrive, same computer. is there anyway to have it not do that next time?
and one more thing... I bought mine on valentines day, 2007, with a serial 8l7022g9v9r... do i have a fifth gen? or a 5.5 gen?

Help with Re-Installing Itunes on Windows XP

Somehow my Itunes was removed from my computer. I tried re-installing it by going on apple.com and downloading it. It starts to guide me through the re-installation process but a series of error messages come up disrupting the installation process: " The older version of Apple Application can not be removed from your computer. Contact your technical support group. I get this same message for "BONJOUR", "APPLES SOFTWARE UPDATE", and "QUICKTIME" I have gone under the control panel at ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS but to no avail. When trying to uninstall these programs to re-install, I get the message: " the feature you are trying to use is on a network that is unavailable"
I don't know what elso to do. If I have to lose my uploaded songs so be it. I just want my Itunes library back so I can purchase more songs and upload more CDs. Any help you could offer would be great. Even if it is to recommending another technical support system. Thanks

I wouldn't worry about that too much, Jimbo. There is probably a background application thats using that file. The real meat of that section is in steps two(Completely remove iTunes and QuickTime) and three(Clean up iTunes installer files on the computer).
Step number two will have you *Verify iTunes and related components are completely uninstalled*, which is deleting leftover files that might be causing this issue.
Step number three will have you download a Microsoft utility, which will help get those applications "uninstalled" and out of Control Panel.
After you've verified the iTunes components are uninstalled and not showing up in iTunes, you should be able to reinstall the latest version of iTunes.

Help with Photo Gallery using XML file

I am creating a photo gallery using Spry. I used the Photo Gallery Demo (Photo Gallery Version 2) on the labs.adobe.com website. I was successful in creating my site, and having the layout I want. However I would like to display a caption with each photo that is in the large view.
As this example uses XML, I updated my file to look like this:

Can anyone help with saving a slide show in created in Elements to a file on my laptop? I know a WMV file is created, which option should I select to save in UK widescreen format 16:9?

Help with editing a template flash file..

FIRST OFF..please don't shoot the noobee..I know some folks
don't like the templates and I appreciate that.
I have done some reading but not a whole lot about Flash. I
certainly don't want to BUILD a flash (not yet), but want to edit
one that is included in a template. I only want to edit the header
that drops down. It says The Web STudio. I, for example, want it to
say Marks Studio.
Ok..the temp comes with Flash/non flash.
I open w/flash and have a 3 folders: flash, psd and html.
-flash folder has Images, fla doc and one flash html file
-PSD folder has 3 psd files
-html folder has flash folder, images folder, css file and
one single index.html file.
I opened the flash folder and found the image.jpg I wanted to
change to Marks studio.
I opend the PSD and found the slice that is the same as that,
then edited it like I want it in PSD, then saved to replace the old
image. top1. jpg
Still, it is the same ole one that came with the temp.
as I said, please don't shoot the noobe. I just wanna edit
the flash file.
