Help with G60 issues

Hi,
I have a G60 that will load the bios settings etc but not a lot else.
I have gone into the bios and checked the disk and memory and both pass fine. I have read another post that mentions to boot the laptop using mains only and to remove the battery but this hasnt worked either.
Any help would be appreciated.

goto bios and check the boot disk priority and check the boot priority and save the settings or else give load bios defaults settings in exit menu Good Luck

The figures you mention only make sense on your intranet. Are you still using the same wireless router. The verizon one is somewhat limited as far as max wireless-n performace. For one thing it only has a 2.4 radio. I like many people who wanted wireless-n performance before they even added a wireless-n gigabit router, have my own handling my wireless-n network.

If you are going tob e upgrading to 10.7 you should be able to just upgrade, and then install future updates of Firefox with no problem.

I don't know if this will help but have you tried switching the audio output to 16-bit? On the AppleTV, click Settings, Audio & Video, Audio Output. The two choices are "auto" and "16-bit". Good luck!

well the reason I wanted to talk to someone live because it would take forever to explain everything on here But anyway, here goes. I have an HP Pavilion Notebook with Intel Core i5-323om CPU @2.60 GHz and 8 gb ram 64bit. I am trying to run Lightroom 5.7 on my laptop and having major issues. I use an external hard drive for the storage of my photos. When I try to use Lightroom I run into many issues: Flickering of the screen, freezing up, slow, the loading circle just goes round and round lol. If I go to the washroom or leave the computer for even a minute it freezes up. I have to keep pressing Ctr/alt/delete to bring it back when it flickers. I have to constantly exit out of the program and restart it to be able to edit even just a couple of photos and then it starts acting up again.
I have tried un-installing and re-installing, updating everything on my pc, changing compatibility settings, updating development settings, I even took the laptop into have it looked at and they did all kinds of updates etc...and still couldn't figure out why it wasn't working for me. I have gone through the lists of troubleshooting for LR problems and there just seem to be nothing that works.....I have made new catalogues, moved them, tried using the software on my pc without the EHD, etc etc.......I have tried EVERYTHING...I think.....so I was looking for some answers as to why this is happening....

Updated 3GS to new operating system and a week later all music and ringtones disappeared and will not let me put them back on phone. Can anyone help with this issue?

Need help with Workflow Issue: One notification sending out non-stop email.

We've created a custom PO Approval Workflow based on standard PO Approval Workflow and we've had this for a while now. Last week, we encountered an issue where the notification keeps on sending email to the Suppliers and Buyers. We found out that the particular notification_id in the WF_NOTIFICATIONS table keeps getting updated by the minute setting the MAIL_STATUS to INVALID then back to SENT then back to INVALID again and so on. We think that whatever is updating this table is the cause but up until now we haven't found what's updating it. Below are some information of our instance.
Oracle Applications: 11.5.10.2
Database: 10.2.0.4 64 bit
OS: AIX
Custom Workflow based on revision 115.127.11510.16
Customizations:
- Created custom notification XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF_SUPP based on EMAIL_PO_PDF_SUPP.
- Created custom message XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF based on EMAIL_PO_PDF.
- Added #WFM_CC to XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF.
- Created custom attribute XX_PO_WF_EMAIL_PERFORMER and set as Performer to notification XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF_SUPP.
- Created custom function XX_ADDTL_STARTUP_VAL right after function "Set Workflow Startup Values". This function sets #WFM_CC attribute and XX_PO_WF_EMAIL_PERFORMER attribute.
Not sure if the customizations have anything to do with the issue since not all POs have this issue. Have anyone experience this? Would really appreciate any help with this.

You can try a Samsung network extender ($249) which uses a high speed modem connection, or a signal booster from elsewhere ($250 and up) and that might help.

Help with backup issues on ITunes IPhone

I recently updated to iOS7 however before this i did the following:
1. i used a new ITunes on my laptop so i plugged my phone in a made 4 backup copies before restoring my IPhone
2. I restored my IPhone fine and updated to iOS7 in the process once restored
3. I went through the steps on setting up iOS7 and got the the 'Restore from backup section' - I selected restore from backup and it started retoring from my last backup with all my apps/Contacts etc, It said it would take 16 minutes to fully sync it all back
4. However during this process my laptop decided to restart therefor stopping the backup sync
5. I reopen my Itunes and my IPhone is available on my ITunes, i select 'Restore from backup' but it only shows a backup from 23:45 which is the time staright after my laptop restarted
6. It doesnt show any backups previousl to this in my ITunes backups folders for some reason - I have lost everything from my Phone and i cant seem to see the previous backups - They MUST be somewhere as i backed up 4 times prior to this but only 3 backups are being displayed all labelled as 23:45, 23:45 and 23:46..
7. Im not sure what happened to all my data and information and where its gone to

Help with speed issue : who to contact

I have BT Infinity 2 via HH5 and speeds are as follows;
Wireless: DL 38M and UL 8M
Ethernet: DL 38M and UL 8M
and the above is a constant result, ethernet is not any faster
I completed the BTWholesale speed test and get the same result. However, if I run the further diagnostics the information that comes back highlights the download in red and says I should contact my BB supplier.
I note also that the range for DL is very tight with a max below 40M, however I am on BT Infinity 2 as upload shows max of 20M. The HH5 indicates that the DL synch rate is normally nearer 45M, so i am wondering if some equipment needs resetting at the exchange.
So can anybody add clues, solutions or provide the best contact number to get this matter resolved.

New to Solaris administration - Need some help with some issues

I am a new to Solaris administration and need some assistance with a few things. I was going to make separate posts but decided it would be easy to keep track of in one. I really do not know much about the OS but I do have a little Linux background so that might help me out. I am going to number my problems to keep them sorted, so here we go.
The machine:
Sunfire V880
4x 73GB HDs
PCI dual fiber channel host adapter
Attached RAID array:
Sun StorEdge T3 Array with 9x 73GB HDs
Sun DDS4 Tape Drive in a Unipack
OS: Solaris 5.10
Updates: Updated everything except 2 patches (Updating is a real pain isn't it? At least it seems that way to me.)
1. So I might as well start with the update issues! These 2 updates will not install:
-PostgreSQL 8.2 source code, (137004-02)
Utility used to install the update failed with exit code {0}.
-Patch for mediaLib in solaris, (121620-03)
Install of update failed. Utility used to install the update is not able to save files. Utility used to install the update failed with exit code 4.
No idea why the PostgreSQL update is not working, but the medialib patch seems to not have enough hard drive space.
2. Where are all the drives? I don't know how to find the RAID box or the other 3 internal hard drives. When I installed the OS, I think I installed it on only one hard drive and that might be part of the reason why the medialibe update above says that I don't have enough space.
3. I probably need more space for the OS and updates, is there a way to "add" space onto the hard drive that currently is running the OS?
3. Once I see the other hard drives I wish to combine them to make a RAID 0 and RAID 5 array, how do I go about doing that?
4. How can I find/see the tape drive?
5. Does my swap space really need to be 64GB? I know the book I have read suggests it, but I only made it 5GB because it didn't seem to make sense to make it 64GB.

Exit code 0 means there were no errors. When you run showrev -p 137004-02, does your system show that the patch is installed? You can check the log for a particular patch add attempt in /var/sadm/patch/+patch_num_rev+1- A bunch of stuff shows up, here is a portion (I am not entirely sure what it means, there must be a least a page of stuff like this):

Please help with Contribute issue- Adobe or anyone!

My issues are many- I don't know where to start. First, as a long-time Adobe customer, I can not believe how support has declined- I really miss my "support package" from the early 90's when I spoke with a person who really knew how to address my problems and/or questions. I am so tired of being outsourced to someone who has no idea how to address my problem- only to send me to "Document #8932023912 03" off of the Adobe website. I want to talk to someone who KNOWS and APPRECIATES this product, and who understands its internal behavior (like what I get when I call MAC SUPPORT). I will pay for it! I have invested thousands of dollars on Adobe software and am now at an unacceptable standstill.
My small business relies on the Adobe Creative Suite 4 and the Contribute program. Up until now, I have never had a complaint, especially after moving to Mac a few years ago. Troubles started after two things (still not sure what the culprit was) - installing Snow Leopard and installing a Wacom Bamboo tablet (on the same day- my bad). Well, Illustrator, Photoshop work just fine as well as my other non-Adobe programs. But I can't even open InDesign (will post this on the proper post) or Contribute. So Apple had me deduce that I needed to create a new User and try things there. I eventually migrated to this new user but still, I cannot use Contribute.
I have set permissions with the program and contents of the folder- in addition to my Contribute keys to no avail. I can't even open it. Nor can I open it in my Root user which at least lets me run In Design. I am at a total loss and I need to update a website for my client. PLEASE someone, I would so greatly appreciate any advice or instruction as to how to run Contribute on my new user. Or in my Root user. I just need to get it to open! Reinstall did nothing PLEASE HELP.
A special note to anyone from Adobe: I want to talk to someone via a support package-- NOT outsourced. Does this fee-based option exist? It doesn't seem to from the main support number. If someone can help direct me, I would appreciate the proper instruction to do so. I need to get my InDesign running again and I have already invested multiple hours, days with Adobe support with NO solution at all. This is unacceptable in my mind, especially for the moneys invested.

I totally share your views on Adobe period. I loved Macromedia., they also answered all my questions, then Adobe had to buy them out! I called them today (sales Dept., that's where they answer rather quickly., of course), they explained the following: You can pay for a live person, but the prices differ in that they come in packages. In other words, you can pay a flat rate per hour for one-on-one OR pay for one-on-one tech support 5 times per month, and the amount of times per month vary from that point on., and so does the price! I'm baffled! They are HORRIBLE!! . Like yourself, am on a standstill ever since I've been stuck with not being able to publish my site with current edits and it gives me a message whereas my own company name is "currently editing the page," so it keeps kicking out. I've tried everything, including but not limited to the following: going to the library and checking out books to troubleshoot; going on Adobe pages for support as well the Help features on the software program., etc...I'm exhausted! ADOBE you guys need to reassess your Customer Care Support and your outsourcing business as well!!! YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR CUSTOMERS RATHER QUICKLY!!

Help with touchpad issue!!

After looking on the web, I realise this is not an isolated issue and many people have had it.
*Problem in bold if you cant be bothered reading everything :)*
The problem I have is with the touchpad on my Macbook Pro. This morning my mac had a funny turn and kept freezing soon after loading up the desktop. I could move around with the touchpad but not do much else, so I restarted and plugged in an external mouse and this worked. So I was really annoyed (My TV had decided it was going to pack in aswell this morn) and was about to hurl my mac at the TV to teach them both a lesson when my TV fixed itself and my touchpad gained some usability.
This is the strangest part - to start with the touchpad could double click - but you had to use three fingers instead of two, it could three finger swipe - but with four fingers and 5 fingers for expose!! But I couldn't single click. *Now, However, I can do everything on the mac by touching the pad but there is no response when I physically click the pad down. You can hear the click but nothing happens, unless you press really hard, in which case it works 1 out of 5 attempts.*
My macbook is only four months old, so I'm presuming it is still under warranty? However, I didn't buy directly from Apple but instead from Currys, will this make a difference. I would just take it in to an Apple Store but the nearest one is about 1.5 hours away and I have no car So I don't want to waste money and time getting there only for them to turn me away/ have no warranty!!
