i activated the 3 day trial for gps do i need to cancell wit before 3 days so i wont get charged? or will it cancell it self and i wont orry about paying for it or anyhting? cause i dont want to be billed for it

Don't worry the license will be cancelled and "voice navigation" feature will cease to function at the end of 3-day trial. Whether or not Nokia Maps application GPRS internet access is set to "As needed" or "Never" is another matter for your consideration.

Need help with GPS

Ever since I updated to IOS 8 (have 8.1 now) my gps does not keep up. It takes forever to locate me, and If I'm driving it is constantly "locating".

Check that the following are enabled:
iOS Settings > Privacy > Location Services
and
iOS Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Maps
Also, ensure that your iPhone has a clear view of the sky. People forget that their phone needs to be in clear view of the sky for it to work well with GPS satellites.

Help With GPS options

I am using my phone and do not want any "data" transfer so the carrier doesn't pick my phone up as a smart phone. The phone is a 700. Note that I do have Mobile Data turned off and Allow Mobile Data Usage set to in home network only. Having the Data Usage settings configured that way might override how the following is set or should be set.
I am confused by all the "Positioning Methods" and other options. These are located under Settings/Applications Settings/Positioning/Positioning Methods. Here you have -
1- Assisted GPS
2- Integrated GPS
3- Bluetooth (self explanatory)
4- WiFi Network
5- Network Based
What are the differences in these options and which one or combination can I run for the best performance but without incurring any data charges? To further complicate things under Settings/Application Settings/Map Apps/General there are several additional options I do not understand exactly.
1- Connection- either offline or online?
2-Network Destination- either Internet, multimedia message or WAP services
As a comment to Nokia, the manual sure leaves a lot to be desired. There should be an option by option explanation for these items along with a zillion more that I find on the phone but not in the documentation.

The attached User Guide should answer all the queries.. refer Pg. 6/7 for the First Part of query .. and Pg. 4 for the Second.. Network Destination should be 'Internet'
Integrated GPS and Bluetooth GPS will give you Navigation without incurring any Data cost. But for the later you will need an external GPS receiver. The FIX will take much longer with the Integrated GPS.
Note that the User Guide is for Maps 3.06 but holds good for your query ..

where can I learn what is needed and not needed for my phone to run? Trying to remove all the rubbish Ive downloaded

I use to have tom tom, Full screen caller, Baby toy (for the kids), Call recorder, Psillic ??? IrRemote (tv stuff), video extender, facewarp, Hair do ,Torch, full screen clock, screensaver , 4 themes, quickoffice, 12 games and others I simply couldnt care about. All on my 6600 with 1gb mmc card.

I have changed my ways when it comes to managing a phone. Always S60 OS and nothing I dont need.

Help with hotmail pop3 on n95 8gb

Im using these settings from a website
Hotmail (Live)
Incoming Setting
User Name :[email protected]
Password : Password of your Hotmaill
Incoming mail server : pop3.live.com
Mailbox Type : pop3
Security :ssl/tls
Port :default
Outgoing Settings
User Name :[email protected]
Password : Password of your Hotmaill
Outgoing mail server : smtp.live.com
Mailbox type : pop3
Security :start tls
Port :default
and it can retireve messanges no problems. But if I send one it just seems to hang for ages and then in the outbox menu it says Queued.
Any ideas why?
Im glad hotmail now supports POP3 but want to be able ot send aswell as retieve.

After lots of internet browsing looking for the correct answer I have finally sorted this matter.
If you are on O2 for broadband (home) or O2 for your mobile these are the settings you need. Hope it saves someone else from having to spend days looking like me. Even hotmail did not know, probably because it is O2 specific.
I can't get the same settings to work for both O2 wap connections and O2 broadband Wi Fi. I presume the only way round this would be to have 2 hotmail profiles on my phone! I am also surprised that it was not just O2 wi fi that it did not work with I have tried another one at work and that failed to send also.
Anyway
Mobile settings-
Incoming:
user name- hotmail email address
password- hotmail email password
Incoming mail server- pop3.live.com
access point in use- set to what you want, i set it to always ask
mailbox name- Hotmail
mailbox type- POP3
security (ports)- SSL/TLS
Port- default (which is actually 995)
APOP secure login- off
Outgoing:
My email address- hotmail email address
user name- your hotmail email address
password- your hotmail password
Outgoing mail server-smtp.live.com
access point in use- up to you i set mine to always ask
security (ports)- StartTLS
port- default (which is actually port 25
For Outlook Express to work with Hotmail use these settings:-
Hotmail
Incoming mail server (POP3)- pop3.live.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP)- relay.o2broadband.co.uk
Accunt name- your hotmail email address
password- your hotmail email password
Outgoing mail port- 25 (and un-tick the option this server requires a secure connection SSL)
Incoming mail port POP3- 995 leave SSL ticked

Help with acrobat trial

I've been trying for the last few hours to download a trial of acrobat. All goes well wuntil the extraction part of the install. Its been 3 hrs and when I start over I'm getting a installer mis-configured error. Can anyone assist?

if you have a dl problem, you didn't follow all 7 steps. typically, failure to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 is the problem.

Are you unable to download? Or are you downloading something that doesn't work?

Those of you who have AGPS working :
1) How do you know it's working ? Is there a visual indicator ?
2) Can you goto Menu->Tools->Settings->Connection->Packet Data->Access Point
Do you have anything entered in this field ?
Does it correspond with what is in Tools->Settings->General->Positioning Server->Access Point ?

I appear to now have AGPS working as I can get a signal and satellite lock sitting at my desk in the middle of my building - but I don't get the two bars people are talking about (but I do when I am connecting to my home WiFi).
When I referred to :
"If this is the case, then why is there not a window here Tools->Settings->General->Positioning Server->Access Point which allows you to choose the connection you want to use rather than having to type in the name ?!"
What I meant was, in here :
Menu->Tools->Settings->Connection->Packet Data->Access Point
I have "Orange Internet" listed
In here :
Tools->Settings->General->Positioning Server->Access Point ?
I have to TYPE (not select using a radio button) the option "Orange Internet"
What do other people have in this field ?

N95 8gb Problem with GPS in US.

Hi. I just brought nokia n95 8gb(Singapore model). I just updated my cell to 11 firmware. Now i have a big problem with GPS. I can find some satellites but i cant establish connection with them. How i can fix this problem? All the time if im going to google maps for example i can only see yellow blinking(satellite search) ...it never turns green...And i'm living in USA,New York. I tried differenet places and it doesnt work..Singapore phone doesn't work properly in US?

Yeaaaaah i fixed the problem by myself. Make sure everybody check in GPS data>Options>Positioning settings> that you disable bluetooth GPS and Network based. Yessir.U can close this topic.

Help with loading pictures in my organizer from elements 9 trial version

I downloaded Trial Version of elements 9 last thursday. Since then I am trying to get someone at Adobe to tell me why, when I open Organizer there are NO pictures from my Pictures Albums. No help from them because they do NOT service "trail versions" WOW. cannot believe that. Someone please help. I do get an error message when I open through the "download" page. it says "cannot open because my file is the wrong type? do not understand. I previously had elements 7 on board but uninstalled it after I lost 1000 pictures and spent 3 months trying to get info as to "where are they" no one could help. So, did I do something wrong or is existing elements hiding in my hard drive stopping me from installing 9 Help need more info ie: specific file path etc. I will provide. Thank you

Some considerations with the trial of CS5: obviously, only 30 days of usage, nothing MPEG-2 is supported, and many other flavors of MPEG are also not supported. This means that you will NOT be able to ingest anything MPEG-2, likely nothing AVCHD, or similar, and you will NOT be able to use Encore for any DVD/BD authoring in the trial. Though there is no watermark, the CS5 trial is very, very limited, and one can really only edit DV-AVI, and Export to DV-AVI, or very similar.
Neale's suggestion is the best solution, IMHO. There are also freeware editors, like Womble, that might work for you, but there is a learning curve, due to the GUI.

Please help with Nokia N95 problem.

If anyone can help with this I’d be much appreciated, I have a N95 on contract with T-Mobile. When I try to play videos from myspace, or you tube etc… I get a message telling me the following.
“Hello, Either you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of macromedia's flash player click here to get the latest flash player”.
I then get the option of clicking on a link within the previous sentence statement that directs me to acrobat downloads home page where I get the following message.
“We are unable to locate a web player that matches your platform and browser. Please visit our table of recommended web players”
This is deeply frustrating as in nearly every other way I feel the phone is perfect. If Any one can hep me fix this problem I’d be much appreciated.

HELP with TRIAL PREMIERE

I downloaded and installed Premiere Pro CS4.
I tried to import some uncompressed files WAV, AIFF, 44 and or 48 khz.
But the bar play DOESN'T move! Just 1 second, and then it stop!
Problems remain with ALL file, audio, video, image.
I can scroll up and down, I see images and hear sound,
but I cannot PLAY it. The cursor appear frozen.
WHY??

Glad that Rick got you to the correct spot.
Now, the only thing disabled with the trial is EVERYTHING related to MPEG. You are obviously not working with, or trying to work with, MPEG, as you have mentioned other file formats, and are having the problem with them all.
I'd start by outlining your system's specs., as it seems to be a global problem and not specific to a file format/CODEC. That might help someone spot a problem.
