Help with Hyperlinks on Media Gallery Widget.

I need to include an hyperlink on the Caption (every image) on Media Gallery widget, like this >>
The problem is when I check the iBook on my iPad (vertical orientation) all the links appears at the end of the text, but they ARE NOT VISIBLE on iBooks Author (please chek the images below)

Help with autoplay w/out gallery.js

I want it so that the images will autoplay but as of now I do not have it set up so i can use gallery.js and don't want to try to implement it. Is there another way to do this? I was thinking it might be more of a nicety not having to click on each thumbnail and rather have each one autoload one after the other. If you think i HAVE to use gallery.js, any pointers or place where i can learn to implement it?

wow. was i being so unclear that you completely misunderstood my question?
1. I already have a spry photo gallery working, its on a private server with password so i cant link to it.
2. I posted a picture of the interface. It works perfect; thumbnails in bottom row that load big pic in a div above.
3. how do i make it so that the pictures auto advance at a timed rate without going back and implementing the gallery.js file and having to reorientate my code, or is it easier than i think?
4. Is there another MORE SIMPLE way of doing this i.e. a javascript image rotator

I am trying to find a more effeicent way to place buttons on each of my pages (Photo Gallery SIte). I have 150 pages and constantly have to link each button to the "next" or "last" button. Is there a more efficent way to for me to ad butons to each page.My site is Blazinginterest.com

Help with manual mode of Menu Widget in Muse

I'm building a family web page in Muse and I'd like to create a menu of my secondary webpages only. Since the Menu Widget's "menu type" options are Top Level pages, All Pages (neither option will work for me), and Manual- it seems like I should be able to use "Menu Type: Manual" and simply type in the menu items I would like- which I've done. What I can't figure out is how to link those menu items I manually created to the sub pages of my website.
A bit of background on my website structure. My top Level sites are: Welcome, and then 3 separate pages for each family member- and each member page has a few secondary pages (about, photos, contact):

My main site navigation- i.e. the menu widget for top level pages- is above my header (Light Gray). Below my header, I would like a horizontal or bar menu for ONLY the sub pages of that member: ie. About Member 1, Member 1's Photos, Contact Member 1 (Dark Gray)
I've created a menu widget in the Manual mode- I just can't seem to figure out how to link each menu option to the correct page. Currently in preview none of these manual menu items work.

Hi Scarff.
When you opt to use manual mode for the Menus, you need to manually link the pages to menu items. To achieve this , you need to have the menu item selected and then using hyperlink option as shown in below screenshots link the corresponding page to it :

I sound like a noob.. but i have a single jpeg with different images on it... and i want to create a hyperlink for specific areas that you point to and not the entire jpeg.... i just can't seem to figure out how to do this, any help would be greatly appreciated

Need help with actionscript for media controller

I seem to be having a slight problem. I've been looking
around and everything I see is for .flv playback. Anyways, here's
my problem.
Client wants a video that's interactive. When a transition
occurs a simple tex button shows up which links to certain web
pages. Deploying this as a .swf would be no problem, but they want
a controlbar with it so a user can scrub back and forth in the
video. So the best way to do this would be progressive or
streaming.
I created a source file that utilizes the "loader component"
and inserted the "media controller component". I'm not very good
when it comes to actionscript and can't seem to find the proper
script which utilizes the media controller so the user can scrub
back and forth. Everything else seems to work fine with the loader
as it loads an external .swf file.
Just need to get the controller working properly. Total
frames of the swf is a little over 3,000 and dividing the total
frames by 30 was 107.7 seconds. So I round that to 108 seconds. The
online docs seem to be fragmented and not always consistant
especially when i'm not using the flvplayback or display.
Does anybody know the actionscript for this? Or where I can
find the information on this? I've associated the loader with the
controller and vice versa in the behaviors panel as well if that's
any help. Any help is much appreciated thanks.

Look, I hope you don't have false expectation that by knowing one piece of AS capabilities you will be able to accomplish your task.
If I say that the code for placing one MovieClip into another is:
clip1.addChild(clip2);
will it make any difference in terms of implementation?
Also, you say "select." This may mean a lot of thing: click, drag and drop, mouse down, etc. I am saying that implementation tightly depends of definitions that you give.
I don't know the extend of your AS skills, so it is not easy to figure where to start helping. Also, forum, perhaps, is not the medium where someone will write a lot of code for you. It is good for getting answers to very specific questions and solutions. This is when you have some code in place already.
What I would suggest is to start developing a very rough concept - no video, no birds, no numbers - just a static background image of the person you have in your first post. If you advance to an application that will allow user to select a square, place the square into another one - it will be a good start.

HELP WITH FASCINATE AND MEDIA MANAGER

Don't use vz mm. It sucks. Make sure you mount your phone/card right. Connect usb cable to phone and the other to a usb port on your cp. Pull down notification bar from the top of the phone screen, select to transfer, mount phone. Then just drag and drop or copy and paste. I ended up deleting the mm because it's slow, doesn't really work and imo is just an attempt towards win mp. Hope this helps!

Can someone help with this stuppid Media Encoder?!

I'm tired of reading hunderts of topics. Can someone please tell me why the Media Encoder is not encoding at all. I've tried everything, but my progressbar always shows loading 00:00:00.
That is not normal. I'm sick of using expensive software, full of bugs. Would someone from the support explain why is this happening and what should be done.
I read a lot about this topic and there are no good replies on it.
The system i'm using is:
Intel Quad Q9550 2.88Ghz
8Gbs of Ram
GeForce 9600 GT
The encoder is a stuppid program with one single stuppid purpose - encoding. When the encoding is not working, the whole CS 4 Studio is useless!
I, like many others, i'm having serious problems while working on big projects and now of course i should see why the software becomes so buggy instead of doing my job.
PLEASE HELP AS SOON AS YOU CAN!!!!

If people have these problems, usually it is caused by:
1. Incorrect system or lacking setup
2. Heavy pollution and / or corruption
3. Operator error
1 is solved easily, 2 requires a reformat/reinstallation and 3 is very difficult to correct.
To which category do you belong? 2 or 3?

Help with encoding windows media file

Hello, I have recently stared using After effects to edit some movies. Basically I am importing some .wmv videos (with sound), adding some visual effects to them and and want to export them just like they were but with the effects. After that I will then want to copy the videos to an external hard drive and be able to connect it to a Sony blu ray player and watch them on the tv. The entire process works fine with the videos before all the editing happens. But something happens to the audio. It plays fine on the PC but when I play it through the blu ray player, there is no sound and it says it is"this audio type is not supported."
My best guess is that it looks like AE wants to encode the audio with Windows Media Audio 10 Professional by default and it's possible that the bluray player can't play that. Does this sound right to you?
I know you can choose Windows Media Audio 9 and 9.2. for the output but 9 played back in slow motion sound and I'm currently waiting for 9.2 to export.
Any advice for using another codec like AVI or FLV? Or maybe something else?

I suggest exporting your files through Adobe Media Encoder (AME). It has Blu-ray encoding presets, as well as handling WMV encoding better than After Effects.

Help with Spry Menubar and slideshow widget in IE

I have a spry slideshow and menubar created in dreamweaver CS4. Both work in Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc. but not IE.

Check in firefox first, then IE.
For the menu, what I've done is created a CSS div to insert the menubar into. This way I can use a background image to frame the menubar. I then tweaked the CSS to shift the menu into the correct position so it lines up with the background image. This information is not transferring for some reason, as the menubar sits at the top left of that div, ignoring placement info.
Different versions of IE create different errors as well. Note that the "galleries" menu should have a flyout submenu. This doesn't work either, though I could remedy this by making "galleries" a page that links to the two submenues, but I'd kind of just like to get it fixed.
As for the slideshow, I used a widget fromt the adobe exchange using Adobe Air. It exported the code as its own html page and CSS, JS, etc, but I just inserted the HTML into a div in the index page. Again, it works great in FF, not in IE. I should also note that when I load the page in Dreamweaver CS4, I get a bunch of error menus saying this widget no longer exists. Dreamweaver does not accurately display the slideshow either.
Help on either of these issues would be most welcome.

I'm sorry to say it still doesn't work. I hate to bother you and take your time, but at lease in IE 7 and 8, the slideshow still doesn't function.
For anyone interested, the code at the bottom was generated by Yahoo web hosting servers, and is for tracking site statistics. If you have a similar problem and want to get rid of that code as a possible solution, you have to go into the yahoo web hosting control panel, click "detailed statistics," then "options," and disable the site statistics tracking option.
I could just try to go with another java slideshow, but I really like this one.
Any other ideas on how to make it work? Also, the flyout menus under "galleries" display behind the slideshow (or at least the box that shows it not working). I suppose that may be fixed when the slideshow is fixed. We'll see. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions to make it work.

Help with Hyperlinks...

I've created two books with multiple chapters. Both books are the same with the exception that one book is in full color for publication to the web, with the second being black/white for printing. All of the hyperlinks that I created in the black/white version are correct. When I created the color version of the publication that has the exact same hyperlinks, that's where I'm getting the problem. I guess my question is, can I "import" the hyperlinks from the black and white publication into the color publication? Any help would be appreciated...

Did you take the b/w file and just add colour? I'm not entirely sure why the hyperlinks would go missing. (If the document was created for print, are the hyperlinks present as interactive elements?) Is there a reason to build the colour version from scratch?
If you are in CS4 you could try using conditional text and placing the black and white images and colour images on a different layer. to keep your b/w and colour version in the same file. Thus eliminating the need to import hyperlinks.
Someone on here is bound to have a better method, but I discovered that exporting all stories to a folder I could drag the text files to an unused master page and the greyed out links would show up in the hyperlinks panel. I don't think I'd opt for that route though.

Need help with hyperlinks in InDesign CS3 to PDF

I've done everything I can see in the forums, in the InDesign help and in InDesign for Dummies... but other than spelling out the entire URL in the text (IE where you can see it in the document) I cannot get a URL hyperlink to work after exporting it to a PDF file. The sample document I used does show the link in the hyperlink pallette... I can even use the "forward" and "back" to identify the link in the document and actually open the link online from there. But - the link is not working in the PDF file. What am I doing wrong? I'm totally confused. Normaly, I figure these kinds of things out and this one seemed to be simple/straight forward.

If you're not using tagged PDF, then use it. If you are, disable it. Also, make sure you're fully patched to 5.0.4.

Need help with preloader for photo gallery

it...I'm a begginer with flash and I have a problem...:-)
I'm building a photo gallery which loads jpg photos inside a
loader component by using MovieClipLoader.
Everything works just great but my only problem is that I
can't scale the content (the jpg's) to the size of the loader
component.
I tryed everything but the photos are loading bigger then the
loader, and I wnat to have the photos bigger then the loader so
that I could have good quality on any resolution. Here's the

first of all, you can't directly resize the bitmaps, you have to resize the movieclip above it. so if needed, create an empty movieclip inside another wrapper movie clip and resize the wrapper.
then i noticed you don't have onLoadInit in your listener
this method:
myLIstener.onLoadInit=function(mc:MovieClip){
will execute commands after the content is loaded. so you will have to resize your content after it's been loaded. you can't just resize something that you loaded above in your code, you have to wait until it's fully loaded
anyways since you siad you are beginner i will list some useful tip for this job (i don't know if you already know them):
this -refers to current movie clip
this._parent -refers to parent movie cilp
width and height of movie clips are controlled by _width and _height properties, not width height
