Help with installing download of Office Prof Plus 2013

Hi,
I have followed the instructions to download.  Hit the download button, wait while it downloads.  Download complete flashes, then nothing. I can't find the files to install on my computer anywhere.  I bought a product key which I'm supposed
to enter when prompted but this never happens.  I've tried the download on two separate computers one operating windows 7 and the other 8.
What is going wrong and where?  What do I need to do to download and install office?
Very frustrated..........

Could you please tell me which instruction you'd followed?
Where did you purchase the Office 2013, Online store, other provider or you join a Office 365 Subscription?
Please try to download the
Office 2013 trail version first and then use your new "full" product key to activate the running trial.

  • Office Prof Plus 2013 connectivity to on-prem ADRMS

    Hello,
I have an ADRMs server running on Windows Server 2012 R2 x64. I have  Office Prof Plus 2013 (vol lic) installed on Windows 8, x64. I have set both the server and client on pre-production mode as we are using this just to evaluate. We have ADRMS client
& SDK 2.1 installed and the appropriate registry settings done.
On trying to Protect Document->Restrict Access it shows a menu item "Connect to DRM servers to get templates". But on clicking that it just shows an error "Sorry something went wrong opening IRM protected content. The system cannot find
    the file specified"
Any idea what may be causing this?
    Thanks
    SN

    Hi SN,
Please Add ADRMS URL in IE Security Settings, then it will works fine.
Click Start, click All Programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab, click Local intranet, and then click Sites.
    Click Advanced.
In the Add this website to the zone box, type https://*.Domain.com, and then click Add.
Click Close, and then click OK twice.

  • Brand new Surface Pro 3 with Office Prof Plus 2013

Just purchased today and brought home a brand new Surface Pro 3.
The first thing I needed for work, Office, and so I started to install, via USB DVD drive, the program Office Professional Plus 2013 - the fully loaded flagship version of Office that I purchased in March of 2014.
I was shocked that I am unable to install it. I first tried installing the 64-Bit Office version, since Windows 8.1 is 64-bit. Next I learned that I must uninstall the 32-bit trial versions of Office that came pre-loaded onto the Surface Pro 3. I even used
the Microsoft Office Fixit utilities and the Support descriptions of manual removal of previous versions of Office.Resetting the Surface Pro 3, uninstalling all Office products from it, and installing as 32-bit did not help either.
The errors I see are not describable, because nothing happens, the install just hangs with no messages. The machine keeps operating fine, but the Office installs do not work at all.
All of these efforts have only led to frustration. It appears to me that the flagship 2014 Surface Pro 3 and the Office Professional Plus 2013 (purchased only this Spring) are incompatible. This came as a great shock for me because in all my history of installing
current MS software on current systems, I have never had this problem. Maybe back in the days of Windows 3.1 it might have happened. Please, if anyone has any advice , please advise.

Thanks Melon Chen for your quick and helpful reply. Somehow (I will explain below), I was at last able to install the Office 2013 Pro Plus Suite.
Before I received your reply with detailed instructions I kept trying many other solutions .. eventually I made Office 2013 Pro Plus install, although I'm not exactly sure what ended up fixing my ability to install from DVD.
    here's what I did:
    1) I attempted to install Office 2013 Pro Plus after running Fixit Utility and again the clean boot, but those did not help. I received the same error message that I described (ie. no specific error coded message, only a message that Office 2013 Pro
Plus failed to install.  After rebooting with the "clean" reset option ,  I noticed there was some of my personal setup information retained on the system (can't recall exactly what this was , but it was clear to me that the reset
did not make my system in pristine factory image). I discovered an even cleaner reset is the following to reset the Surface Pro 3 'absolutely' to factory image using a downloaded factory recovery image that is available here:
    -->
    http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/support/warranty-service-and-recovery/downloadablerecoveryimage?lc=1033
This also required creating a USB drive based install and this reset the Surface Pro 3 to factory condition as described here:
    -->
    https://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/support/warranty-service-and-recovery/usbrecovery
Now, after all this, regarding the Office Pro Plus 2013 install, 64-bit, it failed yet again, but one good thing was that the error message stated something different ie containing the text
" Background installation ran into a problem. ... We'll automatically resume...." . With this information, I explored the internet over the weekend and I found the following valuable site on the web:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-office_install/unable-to-install-office-2013-error-codes-30102-1/fde35d75-bddc-4dd6-bd0a-e01d07420f49
Although I did not observe the error codes (apparently, it is explained that MS has stopped showing many error codes) as depicted, but the symptoms were identical. And so reading the link, there was one user , Rohn007, who compiled a beautiful listing of this
problem of installing Office 2013 Pro with suggested solutions; lo and behold, the solution describing
multiple wireless devices seemed to solve the problem. In other words, by being a heavy MS early-adopter, during Office 2013 Pro Plus install, I had a couple of MS devices, like Lumia phone, pc, etc.. all linked to the same wireless router
during my attempts to install to the Surface Pro 3.  I have only a single MSN user ID and password for all the devices. I could be wrong, but this situation with shared wireless apparently can mess up the installs of Office 2013 Pro Plus- but often it
is disguised and murky because no error codes are generated. By turning off all the wireless connections except for the one connecting to the Surface Pro 3, I was AT LAST ABLE TO INSTALL OFFICE 2013.
In the end, I installed Office 2013 32 bit, but I really wanted 64 bit. I will try now and uninstall everything again. and then go for the 64 bit version.
I was very worn out by this experience. A full 2 days trying to install a brand new Office 2013 onto the brand new Surface Pro 3 with Win 8.1 apparently all came down to the fact maybe that I had too many wireless connections going! In the end I am
happy that I can finally discover this beautiful piece of hardware, but I am a bit scared since I also would like to install Adobe CS4 from DVD drive and I am worried that I will again have much trouble. Do you have any suggestions when installing the Adobe
CS 4 Master Collection, are there suggested steps to take? I like the idea of running Event Viewer, do you think that cab be helpful during installs.

    Hi Rob,
    Thank you for your question.
I've noticed that you mentioned "removing all other office stuff", so you've installed other Office products on the same machine previously?
Older version of Office product sometimes has an impact on your installation. If this is the case, I would suggest we first run
    Microsoft Fix It tool
to remove any trace from older version of Office, then try again.
Also, when the installation get stuck at 87%, go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features and see if the Office instance has been created in the list. If yes, please try to right click it, select "Change", then repair Office
2013 and see if this will fix the issue.

  • SharePoint site connection with Office Professional Plus 2013 on Terminal Server

    Hi,
    Background info:
We use multiple Office 365 E3 subscriptions (12 now) and also have an Windows Server 2008 R2 Terminal Server.
The users may install Office 365 Pro Plus on their local machines and are able to connect to SharePoint online with the Office applications. Now not everyone has a PC so they log in to one of the two Windows Server 2008 R2 Terminal Servers. I do
however want one big happy family working with SharePoint so I installed Office Professional Plus 2013 and tweaked the Group Policies so that the start up screen and movie arent beeing showed.
When I log in with my test user on the Terminal Server (who has a E3 subscription) I miss the feature to add a location (to connect to the SharePoint site). I just do not have that feature. When I log in with my domain administrator account who also
has an E3 subscription, I am able to add a connection.
There is SO much info on the web about Office 365/Terminal Servers etc but I am not able to find what I was looking for.
    Question:
What do I need to do so our Domain Users who log in to the Windows Server 2008 R2 Terminal Server are able to open/save files directly to the SharePoint site? How do I add the SharePoint location as shown in the image:

    Hi,
SharePoint would not exist when Office 2013 initial installed.  After you save a file to a SharePoint library for the first time, you can click
Save as you do for any file. Please try the following steps:
    1) Add the document (Word file) to a document library on a SharePoint 2013 site
    2) Click on the file within the SharePoint document library.
    3) Click open in Excel
    4) Save the file
    5) Close Excel
    6) Open Excel, select new Blank Workbook, File, Save As, "SharePoint" should now appear.

Installing Elements 11 on Mac 10.8.2. Need help with install error:  Setup wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this."  After entering Adobe password, nothing happens.  Locked from further installation.  Any ideas?  Adobe phone support could not help.

Just before letting changes (installation in this case) be made on the system, Mac OS prompts for password & this has to be the Mac system password. This password prompt is the system's own native prompt & would accept the system password only. Please make sure it is the right system password (all/admin rights) and the installaion should run.

  • Help with installing 10.6.3

Hello, I'm looking for a bit of help with installing Mac OS X 10.6.3 without screwing up.
I currently have a Macbook with 10.6.3 on it, and I want to COMPLETELY reset my Mac. I want to have a pretty much brand new Mac with 10.6.3, which I have the disk for. I actually just updated from 10.5.8, hoping that it would erase my hard drive and re-install, but it didn't. So I would like help with how to completely reset my Mac, and re-install 10.6.3.
    Thanks in advance!
    ~Dan

Use that disk, but after booting from it and before running the install, choose Disk Utility from the Utilities menu and erase the drive.

This topic has been moved to Operating Systems.
help with installing 2 os on one hd

    RedMoose:
Congratulations on installing an upgraded HDD into your PowerBook.
I am not sure exactly what happened in the formatting process, but here are some directions that should help:
Formatting, Partitioning Zeroing a Hard Disk Drive
Warning! This procedure will destroy all data on your Hard Disk Drive. Be sure you have an up-to-date, tested backup of at least your Users folder and any third party applications you do not want to re-install before attempting this procedure.
Boot from the install CD holding down the "C" key.
    Select language
Go to the Utilities menu (Tiger) Installer menu (Panther & earlier) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in left side bar.
Select Partition tab in main panel. (You are about to create a single partition volume.)
Select number of partition in pull-down menu above Volume diagram.
(Note: 1 partition is normally better for an internal HDD. External HDDs usually have more than one. See Dr. Smoke’s FAQ Backup and Recovery for tips on partitioning external HDD.)
Type in name in Name field (usually Macintosh HD)
Select Volume Format as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
Click Partition button at bottom of panel.
    Select Erase tab
Optional: (Select the sub-volume under Manufacturer ID (usually Macintosh HD).
Check to be sure your Volume Name and Volume Format are correct.
Select on Security Options button (Tiger) Options button (Panther & earlier).
Select Zero all data. (This process will map out bad blocks on your HDD. However, it could take several hours. If you want a quicker method, don't go to Security Options and just click the Erase button.)
    Click OK.
    Click Erase button
    Quit Disk Utility.
Open installer and begin installation process.
Please post back with further questions, comments or an update.
    Good luck.

  • Fails to activate Office Professional Plus 2013 Trial

    Hello
Yesterday I downloaded from Microsoft evaluation center the Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 Trial. The installation completed successfully but when I am trying to activate Office using the email address that I use to download the application,
I receive a message saying that "The email *****@live.com isn't related to this Office product subscription. The activation cannot proceed".
Why it doesn't recognize my email address since is this that I used to download the product?
    Thank you

    Hi,
It seems you tried to activate Office with the registered account. Which language did you download then?
I visited http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-office-professional-plus-2013 and downloaded the Chinese (Simplified) version of Office Professional
Plus 2013. Before downloading it prompted a trial product key which is used to activate the trial version:
Please try to activate the trial version of Office with the trial product key instead of the registered account, check the result again.

  • Add Microsoft Publisher to Office Professional Plus 2013

    Hi,
I'm trying to do a command-line installation to add Microsoft Publisher 2013 to an existing Office Professional Plus 2013. It was assumed that our staff would not need it, but as we have already received one request to get it installed, and the school year
has not yet started, we assume that others will also need it, measuring possibly in the hundreds or thousands. As a result, I'm looking for a batch scripting option.
Via other postings, I found it was possible to script the uninstall of the Office Upload Center via:
    msiexec /i{90150000-0011-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE} REMOVE=WxpFiles
I'm looking to find something similar to add Microsoft Publisher. I know that the Office Customization Tool exists, but quite honestly, I don't have time to learn how to use it. I'd prefer not to send my network technicians out to the computers, especially
when there should be better options, but if it comes down to only the GUI, then only the GUI it is.

I'm still not entirely clear as to how this would work. If, for example, I use an MSP to add Publisher, then the user also then needs Outlook, would the Outlook MSP also need to have Publisher set to "Run all from my computer", or could that one just add
Outlook? I havent had a chance to run the OCT yet, my firewall consumed my day today.
By the way, it is exactly this type of question why I was looking for the way to add it via an msiexec flag. If I can remove a part of the Office installation that way, it seems to on me that I should be able to add one as well, even if it is not "the best
    way" or "the right way".
You will need to try it out and see how it plays in your environment.
In my environment, we initially customised Office such that InfoPath was set to "Not Available". Subsequently, a need for InfoPath was identified, so I grabbed the original MSPfile which I deployed Office with (sans InfoPath), modified that to set InfoPath=RunFromMyComputer,
set that to [F]orce,  then pushed msiexec /p enableInfoPath.msp, to those computers which needed InfoPath.
Note that I re-used the previous/existing customisation file (the file which already had all features other than InfoPath set to enabled), and toggled the feature state of InfoPath.

Microsoft Office Pro plus 2013 installation wizard pops up everytime I open a Word document or a new page.  I realize that other people have the same problem.  However no answer has been found to stop this problem.  I wonder if there is a
way.  Hope someone is able to tell me and the others.

    Hi,
By the installation wizard, do you mean the First Run screen? If yes, please follow the steps below to disable it:
STEP ONE: If you have not already, download the Office 2013 Administrative Template files. These can be downloaded from
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35554
STEP TWO: Copy the ADMX files to %systemroot%\PolicyDefinitions and the ADML files to the language specific folder (such as en-us) under %systemroot%\PolicyDefinitions.
STEP THREE: Using the Group Policy Management Editor go to User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Microsoft Office 2013 | First Run |
STEP FOUR: Set the Disable First Run Movie to Enabled and the Disable Office First Run on application boot to Enabled
    Please check the result then.
