2 iPhones: IP4Black and IP4White
1 Mac Book Pro Snow Leopard (latest update)
2 APPLEIDs: APPLEID1 and APPLEID2
First I bought an IP4Black for my wife
Created APPLEID1 and downloaded/purchased apps in IP4Black
Then I bought IP4White for myself
Created APPLEID2 and downloaded/purchased apps in IP4White
Later I switched phones with my wife. Obvoiusly she wanted the white phone.
Now i'm not sure which app was downloaded/purchased using APPLEID1 or APPLEID2. Currently when I update apps, sometimes it wasks for APPLEID1 password and other times APPLEID2 password
What I need?
IP4White should use APPLEID1 and have apps downloaded/purchased only using APPLEID1
IP4Black should use APPLEID2 and have apps downloaded/purchased only using APPLEID2
Purpose?
When I setup iCloud, both phones should have seperate stores/backup and iTunes sync should not be messed up.
Not sure if I can explain any better and how I can get this sorted.

We would like to have all our music, photos, etc. on the iPad - is it best to create a new combined Apple ID for the iPad and simply upload our music, photos, etc. via our laptop instead? Does this not then render the iCloud useless to us?

And just in case you were wondering, installing one purchased copy on all the Macs you own is specifically called out as allowed in the Mac OS X Lion license.
If you do not want to download multiple times, just copy the Applications -> Install Lion app to a safe place BEFORE you do the first install. Then copy that copy to any Mac you own where you want to install Lion.

My carrier allows multiple sim cards with the same phone number for usage on different devices. I would like to use a second sim card for my phone number on a second iphone, but with a different apple id.

You may be able to change the suspicious account activity message alerts
in your Gmail settings, and check that side of it, since I can use several
means of accessing my Gmail and Google Accounts; and in the past had
shared an account (not google) with another party half a world away when
her email server went down for a month.
The Mail software should not know the difference, unless the setup in there
is not correct; if this is so, then more than what she says would be wrong.

actually, unless you take an extra step, the first opened swf will close. if you want the 2nd to close, the initial receiving lc will send a message to sender that causes the sender to close.

Setup Family Share with Two Apple IDs

Apple has long prevented customers from merging two Apple IDs associated with the same person. With Family Share I thought I might be able to finally share all of my purchases between my two Apple IDs. But I'm not sure how to go about it. One Apple ID is associated with an @mac.com e-mail address. The other @me.com. But when I go to add the former Apple ID account, I get a message that I can't add my own account as a family member. So I'm a little stuck.
Shouldn't I be able to add my other Apple ID as a "family member", so that I can access all the purchases made through it?
Has anyone done this, is there a trick to making it work? Can I re-assign my other Apple ID to a "different user" account to bypass this problem?

Happy Holidays! As I understand it - there are two possible scenarios you can try if you have iTunes Store content on multiple Apple IDs. Review the information below and try the path the best suits your situation.
Scenario 1 - Change your Apple ID to a different address
You could rename the Apple ID that you are not currently using as your primary Apple ID for the iTunes store to a different email address, like a Gmail or Yahoo account. This article explains how to do that:

Learn how to change the email address that you use as your Apple ID.
In most cases, your Apple ID is also the primary email address of your Apple ID account. You can change your Apple ID to any other email address you control, as long as it's not already in use as an Apple ID. If your email address ends with @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com, it's already an Apple ID.
Use these steps to reset your Apple ID:
Sign out of iCloud, the iTunes Store, App Store, FaceTime, Find My Friends, Find My iPhone, and iMessage on each device that uses your current Apple ID for these services.

Do you want them to continue to share the same Apple ID for iTunes content? If so, the can, but still use different ID's for iCloud.
The Apple ID needs to be a verified email address. Once you have an email address, that can be verified, go here & create the ID:
https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/wa/createAppleId
Then on the phone or iPad, turn off Contacts, Calendars, Find My Phone, etc. for iCloud. You'll be prompted to keep the data or delete it from the phone/iPad, then turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account...Settings>iCloud...scroll down...delete account. Then, setup iCloud using the new Apple ID, turn on iMessage & Facetime.
This will have no affect on the ID they both share for iTunes content, & they can continue to do so.
If you also want them to have separate iTunes accounts, post back.

iTunes content can be commingled in the iTunes library on a computer and synced to iOS devices. The computer must be authorized to use the content from the respective Apple IDs in the iTunes Store menu.

How do I configure ONE iCloud account with 2 iOS devices each with separate Apple IDs?

We have two iPhones (husband and wife), each with separate Apple IDs. The phones are 5S running iOS 7. We want both phones to use the same iCloud account so each phone will have equal access to the same email, calendar and contacts - all synced in ONE iCloud account.
We will use husband's Apple ID for the iCloud ID. I would like to know exactly how to configure Wife's iPhone so that all email. calendar and contacts synced with iCloud will be identical to that available on Husband's iPhone. I would appreciate step-by-step instructions. Thank you. Dale

On your wife's phone, settings iCloud, sign out and don't keep data when prompted. Then sign in again using the husbands Apple ID.

You need to create a user account for your wife (or yourself depending on who has the current user account). When syncing, each of you should sign in as a separate user, login to iTunes and then sync. I had this problem when my sister got an iPhone. When we did her initial sync, everything on my iPhone showed up on hers. Apple gave me this solution.

I was looking into purchasing 2 apple tvs and was wondering if they can be setup with different apple ids. I need to have mine setup with my id and be able to hook my devices to it , but have the one in a bedroom hooked to a different apple id and have my friend's devices stream to that one and not mine. Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order that your Apple TV only streamed from your iTunes Library and your friends to your friends, you would both have to have different homesharing ID's.
So far as devices go, any device on a network can stream over AirPlay to an Apple TV, to ensure each of you couldn't stream to the others device you can enable a password via the Apple TV which would then need entering when you used a device for AirPlay.
Shouldn't be a problem to do what you want to do.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
There are several different services that require signing into an Apple ID to use on your iOS device. You can sign into different Apple IDs for different services on your iPhone. For example, Apple ID #1 for iCloud and Apple ID #2 for iTunes & App Store. You cannot sign into the same service with two different Apple IDs at the same time.
