Help with ipod games!!!

i cant get games to go on my ipod :s
do you just download them and the are they supposed to go on your ipod when you plug it on because if that is whats supposed to happen then mine does not do that and i really dont understand how to get them on? it is an ipod nano i am tryin to get the game on? please help x

As noted by chris above the games are not compatible with the ipod nano only the larger ipod video. THe games on th eitunes music store in fact make this warning known jsut below the game description
"...THese games are CANNOT be played in itunes, NOR are they COMPATIBLE with other IPOD MODELS." Nor can they be playyed in itunes.
With the emphasis given of course. I dont believe you can get a refund because the system requirements are clearly noted. On another note the ipod nano is Not able to play ANy video content including podcasts. IF you wish for either of these features youll need the ipod video.

  • I need help with ipod games...

    Dear other Itunes users,
I have multiple libraries that I currently use. The problem is not that I can not successfully get the games on the ipod, but that all the games(purchased on different computers) cannot coexist on the ipod. The message warns me and states that it will replace the other games I purchased with the games from my current library. How can I fix this?
    Thank you, tjd51.

Use the Transfer Purchases option to place all of the games on one computer, and then sync the games from that computer.

  • Help with rhythm game

So i am starting university in late september (to learn 3d character animation) and need to get the grades to get in, sadly we have a flash programming unit in the college course im in now and we didnt get taught anything at all and i mean nothing, we were given printed sheets and told to copy the code word for word. so i really need help with my game. how would i make the movement of something my cursor? so when i move the cursor it follows it? also how do i play an animation on click?
My  idea for the game is to have a rhythm style game where the player moves the net and catches the bee's, something i thought would be simple to figure out how to do
This is my game at the minute, ive used the code we were told to copy from sheets and just changed the sprites :\ any help would be amazing!

  • Help with Ipod mini

I'm having a problem with my mini. It turns it self on, and then right back off constantly, until the batteries run out. when i hook it up to the computer, it recharges, and then goes back to the on/off cycle. the computer won't recognize it. All i see is the apple logo clicking on then off then on etc...
I've tried resetting it, but it just goes back to the on/off cycle.
    Please help!

iPod Doesn’t Appear on OS X Desktop or in iTunes
    I hope this helps!
The other option is to just kinda let it run itself out of battery, then see how it's doing.

  • Help with ipod classic 80gb 2nd new ipod not working

I need some help with my ipod, this is the second ipod I have had in the same number of weeks the first one worked fine for about 8 days and then when syncing one night it froze and then would not disconnect, I searched the support section and worked how to reset the ipod which | did many times, in the end I restored the ipod to the factory settings and synced again the end result of this was that the ipod would not turn on despite everything that I tried. The apple log would appear and the ipod would then try desperatley to switch itself on with the apple logo appearing and disappering all the time. Apple have replaced the ipod and I have fully charged the new ipod synced it this evening all was ok, the ipod synced and then told me to disconnect and the same thing is happening again I have tried to reset multiple times and all that happens now is the apple logo appears and disappers it will not switch on or off, itunes keeps telling me that it cannot recognise the ipod at this time and the safely remove section on my task bar on my computer is telling me that the ipod has malfunctioned. can anyone help? am I doing something wrong someone suggested that I should have downloaded itunes once I had my ipod and not before, I have about 20GB of music in itunes and I was not aware that you needed to use or own an ipod to use this music storage system
    HELP
    Thanks in anticipation

well it looks like you might have a tech issue here; try to return the ipod and choose a different store and buy one ... also try to uninstall itunes totally, back up your songs on a CD or DVD, and then re-install a fresh new copy of itunes ... this might work ... good luck!

  • Help with Ipod, restoring, and updating Itunes!

I was trying to buy a game when it told me I had to update my Iphone software to 3.1.2. So I plugged my Ipod in, and tried to update it. It then told me I needed to update Itunes to 9.0.3 before I could update my Ipod. So I started to update Itunes when an error came up.
So I thought that maybe I didn't really need to update Itunes, so I went into the Itunes store and bought the update for my Ipod. It started to download, and then it froze. My ipod had the screen with the apple on it.
So I didn't know what to do and I looked at tech support and it said to restart your computer. So I unplugged the Ipod and restarted the computer. When the computer came back on I pugged the ipod back in and the screen said to connect to Itunes.
So I connected it to Itunes and all my information was gone! It said it detected my Ipod was in recovery mode and to restore the ipod. So I try to restore it and then it says error (1603) and won't let me restore my ipod.
I tried looking up the error and I couldn't find anything. I have no idea what I did and I'm worried I may have lost everything.
So now I can't even get my Ipod to turn on and it's my dads and he is not very happy. And I don't think he has backed it up in a while. So help would be VERY APPRECIATED!!!!!!

hi i have a similar problem as well, my ipod touch showed the connect to itunes icon, i did it and still showed it. i think this is after i tried installing the latest software up date. this is the second ipod this has happened to of mine. i am so frustrated and i would really appriciate help from an apple techicians or anyone else. i saved up a long time for this ipod. pls email [email protected] or txt +254724446340!

  • Help with ipod video, screen doesn't work

My ipod started acting weird when I updated the ipod software. My screen will freeze, but it's not black or white, it shows the "Do not disconect" sign but with a bunch of little color squares all over the screen. I've tried everything, restore it, reset it, everything and as soon as it turns on, the screen goes like this.
    can anyone help me?
    thanks!

Try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset. Nothing is lost.
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory defaults/new iPod
If you still have the problem then you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Help with iPod Touch in recovery mode

I am trying to help my sister with her daughter's iPod touch. The end goal is to update to iOS6. It is a fourth gen iPod Touch. I plugged it into iTunes (iPod was still iOS V4.something or other) and it said there was an update availalbe. I clicked Download and Update. Got a message about the update deleting all the apps since this iPod had been synced with another computer (my sister has a new computer since she last synced the iPod -- the old computer is no longer available). I cancelled out of the update and did a transfer purchases and then backed up the iPod. I then started the iOS 6 update again. It downloaded the update and then it said "backup up iPod." At that point I left so I don't know what happened after that but it is now saying that iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. My question is this: if we let it do the restore (which is the only option), will I be able to go back into iTunes and restore from the backup that I took MANUALLY (not the backup that it did as part of the iOS 6 update)?
    Thanks.
    Lisa

Yes, you will be able to restore from the backup you previously made. See:

  • Help with ipod and computer shut downs...please.

I've posted this in two other forums to no avail -- lots of views, but no help.
My family now has 3 ipods (we only had 1 before) and yesterday I was trying to get them all set up - updates on the actual ipod, and I've updated itunes to 7.5. There are two issues here:
    1) I am not able to register ANY of the ipods. I get all the way through the process to the very end and then it gives me an error message (after clicking the "No thanks" at the bottom of the page that asks if you want to download the videos) saying that the service couldn't be found? Or something like that. Ok, fine...I can handle not being able to register them for the time being.
    2) I could keep itunes on all day long, as long as the Ipod is NOT CONNECTED. As soon as I connect the ipod (any of the 3 new ones - they all do the same thing) - ok, maybe not as soon as, but shortly thereafter - my entire computer shuts down. No error message, no blue screen of death, no warning - it just shuts down. It might be after I move a song from the "purchased" folder to the actual ipod. Or, as happened yesterday, it's right smack in the middle of a download (happened with both videos AND songs) and then of course, I have to try and purchase it again. I'm not even sure if it took my money already, but if it did, I'm SOL because I paid, but don't have the video/song since it never finished downloading.
I've done everything that's been recommended to me - I disabled all my start up programs (except the windows ones) and that didn't resolve anything.
    My system is as follows:
Windows XP Home Edition (all updated except for microsoft office 2003)
    Service Pack 2
    AMD Athalon 64 3000+
    1.81 GHz
    2GB RAM
Not sure what else you need to know, to try and help me resolve this. Thanks for your time.

  • Help with iPod service error

    Greetings,
I had an issue where my Nano's battery got very low to the point that it was not recognized by my computer. I borrowed an AC charger and got it to charge and work fine but still not be recognized by my computer. I followed the instructions for downloading the HP USB formatter and when I tried to restore using updater 6/28 I get a service error and cannot restore. I tried turning off the fast switch option (which waas on in the past when the computer used to see the ipod in itunes) and then I tried removing itunes and reinstalling it and I get the same error message. It seems to me that the helper files that look for the ipod are missing. The iPod will respond to being reset and the computer recognizes it, but I cannot restore it. Is there a way to restore it without using the latest updater? Any help greatly appreciated.

the ipod-service/software-required error messages are typically caused by snarlups on the PC side of things.
the theory behind the registry entries version of this is a little sketchy. i've only encountered about ... ten at the outside? ... confirmed cases of this since Christmas. possibly it's associated with not running installations as an administrator, possibly with running the installs inside a different user account than itunes has already been installed in, possibly with security software interfering with registry changes during the install process.
if you do run into troubles with key editing, ProgMan and hutch's threads might be of some help:

  • Help with ipod formating, error 1429 please help!!!!

    30g movie
not sure which gen but it was one of the first movie ipods
hello, my ipod had died. all i get is a screen telling me to contect to itunes to restore, which i have done but the restore freezes and i get a message "unable to restore ipod error 1429" i have updated to the latest version of itunes, and i have tried formatting through windows, but even windows can't format the drive. i have pressed every button, search this forum and i don't know what to do.
some people have hit the ipod with success, others just seem to press everything and got there in the end.
i have never liked the itunes software! but i find it simple madness that it can not format its own hardware.
    please can anyone help!!

I am having the same issue with my Ipod Classic once again. So far I have tried restoring it as well as some of the other processes including to trying to erase the hard drive. At this point I cannot upgrade to Itunes 8.0 since I am only on OS 10.3. The last time this happened I smacked my Ipod again my desk and it worked for about a month. I hesitate to do this in an attempt to solve the issue.
I considered getting a new Ipod but I would have to by a new OS. This makes it a pricey solution. I am wondering if it is worth having Apple fix it.

When i go to itunes it would say no ipod connected but yet the ipod is on with the batery and thunder.. I know it has battery but why is it not working
I tried it on another compt and still not working
do u think its the usb?

    thanks
    much love !!
    edit....
whoops i realized its in the wrong topic
SORRY and i dont know how to move it SORRY
      Windows XP

So wouldyou recommend that I update? It was made for use with an att sim but was unlocked for use with a tmobile sim... I just so happen to have att. So the phone being locked for att wouldn't be a bother for me. I've just heard of people getting sim card read errors after updating, so I was wondering if I should even bother.

Try adding the following two lines before line 59:
    trace(myCapsel);
    trace(myCapsel.capselFall);
If one of them traces undefined, it should isolate which object is the problem.  If you describe what is involved with that object.child, then it may help generate an idea of what might be wrong.
