I lost all pictures and contacts when I upgraded my iphone 4 (for the first time). I did not download anything because I was using a friend's computer. I read that apps not in itunes would be lost, but not pictures and I had 1500. Every time I attempt to restore, I get error messages. Please help!

If you don't have a sim card in the phone, you won't be able to activate it. You can't activate any GSM iPhone without a valid sim card installed in the phone. The sim itself need not be activated, but it must be valid & present.

I downloaded the trial version (assessment for thirty days) of Adobe Photoshop cs2. Once installed the trial version, the program works correctly, except for a basic function: to open files and modify them. Any image files (jpeg-gif-png-tiff-bmp-psd) on press command FILE>OPEN, or Ctrl+O, to open it, sends the system in crash, and without any warning message, send to "restart" the operating system, in my case , windows xp.
I use also photoshop cs, and it works correctly and allows to open file image also; but not with cs2.
What's the problem?

you need to review the account and verify it, including payment method. If there's no option that states 'none' next to the creditcard options, you'll need to use a creditcard for this.

This happened to me too. But what I tried to do is reset my iDevice's settings, not turning my iDevice to factory mode, just go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset Settings. There, you will only reset your iDevice without losing your contents but it's a pain in the butt thatyou have to set up with iCloud and wait for about 3 to 5 hours until the process is complete, well it depends on how much data you have on your iDevice. I m using IBM R51 Laptop and sitecom bluetooth device Model-No: CN-521(100 MTRS). with Win XP - SP2 and thoshiba provided bluetooth stack and Nokia_PC_Suite_683_rel_14_1.
Trouble shooting steps which I have done so far...
1. Uninstalled PC-Suite and USB bluetooth stack.
2. Reinstalled USB bluetooth stack and PC-Suite.
3. Used Nokia_PC_Suite_Cleaner_3_6 for removing the reg entries.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. Now I am able to see the bluetooth from toshiba after doing the installation of new stack and PC Suite. Now I selected the stack and I could connect and paired the device with my N72. But still it is asking for get connected... No phone connected!!!
What could be the reason.

Firefox 4.0 is my default browser, and I am receiving a script error message when I try to view online images in Family Tree Maker 2011, a genealogy program. Have not had problems until Firefox 4.0. Can't seem to find a setting in Firefox to fix this.

I see. Well, I just tried to make IE my default browser, but it did not solve the problem. I receive the same script error when I view the image. (I may not have explained this thoroughly enough at first - I do get to view the image after answering the error message, but the print button embedded in the window doesn't work. Before, I never had a problem with viewing or printing.)
I imagine that at this point I will either need to communicate this to the IE people, or possibly revert to an older version of IE.

HELP! I'm getting error messages when I try to update all of my podcasts.

The message I get for each podcast I try to update is "There was a problem downloading "Episode Name". An unknown error occurred (-50). Please check that the URL is correct and the connection to the network is active and try again."
I tried checking all of the URLS, unsubscribing and resubscribing, entering the URLs manually, and getting episodes individually - and nothing is solving this problem. I can't see how it would be a URL problem if it is happening for ALL of my podcasts. They all worked fine two days ago...

I do not know ow to access the PDF viewer of Safari, and BTW the problem may lie in the fact that i have not upgraded from 10.8.5.
And I do not know where the "open with" box might be or if it is a global or app-attached box.

I keep getting error messages when I try to activate iMessage on my iPad since installing iOS7. Anyone else having this issue or a solution. I can obviously sign in with the same Apple ID information/password as I have done here and I am connecting with Wifi now and in all other apps.

After looking at some other posts I signed into iTunes and edited my password with my Mac. Then I powered off and restarted my iPad and all is good now.
