Help with manual mode of Menu Widget in Muse

I'm building a family web page in Muse and I'd like to create a menu of my secondary webpages only. Since the Menu Widget's "menu type" options are Top Level pages, All Pages (neither option will work for me), and Manual- it seems like I should be able to use "Menu Type: Manual" and simply type in the menu items I would like- which I've done. What I can't figure out is how to link those menu items I manually created to the sub pages of my website.
A bit of background on my website structure. My top Level sites are: Welcome, and then 3 separate pages for each family member- and each member page has a few secondary pages (about, photos, contact):
Welcome
Member 1
about
photos
contact
Member 2
about
photos
contact
Member 3
about
photos
contact
My main site navigation- i.e. the menu widget for top level pages- is above my header (Light Gray). Below my header, I would like a horizontal or bar menu for ONLY the sub pages of that member: ie. About Member 1, Member 1's Photos, Contact Member 1 (Dark Gray)
I've created a menu widget in the Manual mode- I just can't seem to figure out how to link each menu option to the correct page. Currently in preview none of these manual menu items work.
Thanks!
LScarff

Hi Scarff.
When you opt to use manual mode for the Menus, you need to manually link the pages to menu items. To achieve this , you need to have the menu item selected and then using hyperlink option as shown in below screenshots link the corresponding page to it :
I hope this helps.

  • Help with inserting drop down menu/pricing in Muse site

I know this is not a feature available directly in Muse, but are there other sites where I could get code to insert? View this website , the box on the right side where you can select from 3 dropdown menus and you get an updated price at the top. I don't care so much about the add to care function, I just want to have the dropdown/pricing.

The HTML code for a drop-down menu is as follows:
    <select>
       <option>Item 1: $9.95</option>
       <option>Item 2: $19.95</option>
       <option>Item 3: $29.95</option>
    </select>
You can add this code by clicking Option-> Insert HTML...

  • Problem with Vertical Menu Widget in Muse

Using the vertical menu widget in Muse, I want to make the submenu pop up under the parent item. The default action is to pop up to the right. How do I override this?

Thanks for posting this question - I too had this question, and I think I found a way to do this.  Try using the "Padding" feature located on the Spacing panel.  Looks like you can use this tool to move the location of the sub-menu group,  Just make sure you have the sub-menu's selected first.  Seems to have worked for what I was wanting to do.  Hope this helps!
I will be posting a "new feature" request involving the menu widget, later on today.  Check back later and vote in favor.

  • Help with Layer Modes

Well...im new here at photoshop so i dont know if im asking in the right place or not but i really need help with something to do with layers
I have one layer [the basic bottom layer] and an image that ive already cropped out and colour corrected that i wanted to put over my bottom layer without losing any texture, like the effect where you have your layer/brush mode on the "colour" setting and you colour over something and its basically a colour replacement...Seeing that technique doesnt work too well with an image, i would greatly appreciate any help :3

Hello! If you are trying to blend images together to create texture, I would use the Multiply or Screen blending mode, depending on how light or dark your images are.
Here I took an image of a bird and placed it on top of a tree texture.
    Is that what you mean?

  • Need a help with something basic, renaming pages made in muse

    Hi All
can someone help me with a basic task,
I need to rename a page ivve made in muse containing slide shows or forms,
when I upload via FTP it over writes the websites index.html page
any suggestions on what i do to rename Ive tried everything
    Thank you, In anticipation
    Julie

    Hi Julie,
To rename a page name in Muse, please right click on page and go to page properties. You can rename the page name of all the pages as well as the "file name" in Muse but you can't change the 'File name" of the index page in Muse. Please refer to the following screenshot :
If you choose to export the site as HTML, you can then change this as well but then the menu items links will be broken and you will have to manually link all the menu items outside muse.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers!

Try Resetting your iPod. Hold down the MENU and SELECT (centre) buttons for five or ten seconds until you see the Apple logo appear then the menu button to go to the normal display. Have a look at this link as well: iPod won't turn on

  • Help with Spry Menubar and slideshow widget in IE

I have a spry slideshow and menubar created in dreamweaver CS4.  Both work in Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc. but not IE.
    Here's the link:
    http://www.salmonrunvacations.com/test/
Check in firefox first, then IE.
For the menu, what I've done is created a CSS div to insert the menubar into.  This way I can use a background image to frame the menubar. I then tweaked the CSS to shift the menu into the correct position so it lines up with the background image.  This information is not transferring for some reason, as the menubar sits at the top left of that div, ignoring placement info.
Different versions of IE create different errors as well.  Note that the "galleries" menu should have a flyout submenu.  This doesn't work either, though I could remedy this by making "galleries" a page that links to the two submenues, but I'd kind of just like to get it fixed.
As for the slideshow, I used a widget fromt the adobe exchange using Adobe Air.  It exported the code as its own html page and CSS, JS, etc, but I just inserted the HTML into a div in the index page.  Again, it works great in FF, not in IE.  I should also note that when I load the page in Dreamweaver CS4, I get a bunch of error menus saying this widget no longer exists.  Dreamweaver does not accurately display the slideshow either.
Help on either of these issues would be most welcome.
    Thanks and God bless,
    Mike.

I'm sorry to say it still doesn't work.  I hate to bother you and take your time, but at lease in IE 7 and 8, the slideshow still doesn't function.
For anyone interested, the code at the bottom was generated by Yahoo web hosting servers, and is for tracking site statistics.  If you have a similar problem and want to get rid of that code as a possible solution, you have to go into the yahoo web hosting control panel, click "detailed statistics," then "options," and disable the site statistics tracking option.
I could just try to go with another java slideshow, but I really like this one.
Any other ideas on how to make it work?  Also, the flyout menus under "galleries" display behind the slideshow (or at least the box that shows it not working).  I suppose that may be fixed when the slideshow is fixed.  We'll see. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions to make it work.
    Thanks,
    Mike.

  • Need help with spry collapsible panel (menu)

I learn as I go when I created my website http://www.invitation-fascination.com/shapes.html and so far I've created a page with 13 spry collapsible panels- I think it came out pretty well.  Now this is what I want to add to the page:
I want to create a selector (drop down) menu above the panels with the option to select any one of the 13 panels.
Once selected it will move directly to that panel and open it.
I've tried the piselect thing and with the "open" and "close" button that will programatically open the panels, but what I want is for the panel to be selected from the menu and then the page goes directly to that panel and it then opens.
Is there a way this can be done?  Please help
I'm really not that good at this stuff- please be easy with your response- thank you

  • Need help with javascript drop down menu

    Hi,
I inherited a website that was already created. I do not know
what version of dreamweaver they created it in but I have
Dreamweaver MX 2004. I am trying to make changes to the drop down
menus. I have figured most everything else out about dreamweaver
but cant figure out how these menu's are made or can be modified. I
have gone into the main template and clicked on the menu section I
want to modify. All it shows it a link to javascript:; I have
searched everywhere for what this means or how to modify it but
can't find anything. Can someone tell me how to get to this info so
I can make changes. Thanks. My website is www.pfcal.org if that
    helps.

Oh boy. Templates are not for uploading. They have no effect
    on the
server. They only change local files which must then be
    uploaded to the
server. But - I'm troubled by this comment -
    > It didnt give me an option to "save" though
When you made the changes did the template page get marked as
    "dirty" (with
an asterisk beside the name)? Which DW are you using?

  • Need Help with Spry Drop Down Menu

    Greetings,
I'm a Dreamweaver beginner, and I'm currently working on a
redesign of our corporate website, and I would really like to
incorporate a drop down navigation system. So far, I've gotten
close to what I would like to have, except there are a few items I
just can't figure out. Here's what I have so far:
    Click
    Here
As you can see, whenever you hover over one of the links, a
sub menu appears. This is great and everything, except I would
really like to make two minor adjustments:
    1) I would like to decrease the line-spacing between the main
    menu and the submenus.
    2) I would like to change the font color of the sub-menu for
    better readability.
I created this menu using Dreamweaver's Spry Menu feature. To
get the desired results so far, I simply played around with the CSS
file. The only two things I can't figure out are the above. I tried
to change the font color of the submenus in the CSS file, but there
is no tag that allows you to do this. I found a "Help" document on
repositioning the location of the submenus but every time I try, I
    don't get any noticeable results.
Any ideas on how to pull off what I'm looking to do? Any
replies would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  • Help with Spry drop down menu

I'm new to Spry, but not to CSS. I'm having major trouble
    formatting this menu.
I've set up my page with a 3-row centered table for simple
positioning (I hate trying to get a pure CSS centered layout). The
width is 940px and the horizontal menu is supposed to span the full
940 width. I've tried changing width values in several rules and
nothing changes. In fact the only change I've been able to see is
when I changed the text to Georgia in the li rule, even when I've
    tried to change bg colors.
Any help would be appreciated. I'm completely stuck.

  • Help with IE drop down menu stretching across page, Chrome & Firefox work perfectly.

I have set up a spry menu in my page.  file:///C:/Users/Kim/Documents/PQH_xhtml/index.html
Everything works great in Chrome and Firefox. Just not in IE.  The only problem I am having is in IE the drop down menus stretch out all the way across the page.
I have tried changing the width, but it messes up Chrome and Firefox.  Just need IE to shorten up the width of sub menus.
    Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!

  • Help with finishing drop-down menu in dreamweaver?

I am trying to make a menu that I want to look like this:
    http://www.ivoog.com/link2
I want it to look exactly like that but with a few more of
the same menus next to the first one. The reason I am not using the
menu I made above is because I used a builder and it produced about
10 pages of really weird and complicated code.
Here is what I have so far:
    http://www.ivoog.com/link4
I just used random words because the menu is kindof private.
Here's the CSS for the menu:
    http://www.ivoog.com/link4/dropdowntabfiles/bluetabs.css
    Here's the javascript:
    http://ivoog.com/link4/dropdowntabfiles/dropdowntabs.js
Can anyone help me finish and make it exactly like the menu I
showed? I am stuck on many things?!!

Isn't this the same question that has been asked and answered
    more than once
    here?

  • Help with international settings - the menu bar flag is gone!

The flag no longer appears in my menu bar, nor does the "show input menu in the menu bar" check box in the international section of the System Preferences stay checked. I no longer seem able to type in Chinese, which is what I really need to be able to do.
    Help? Thanks!

Hi Crimsoncat and welcome to the forums!
Seems your Chinese has been taken away...
    (Sorry, just could not resist!)
Now for solving your problem! When did this start happening? Have you tried a bit of maintenance, like:
Repairing permissions is an important part of regular maintenance, and should always be carried out both before and after any software installation or update.
Go to Disk Utility (this is in your Utilities Folder in your Application folder) and click on the icon of your hard disk (not the one with all the numbers).
In First Aid, click on Repair Permissions.
This only takes a minute or two.

    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25751

An article on troubleshooting Permissions can be found here:

If you were having any serious problems with your Mac you might as well complete the exercise by repairing your hard disk as well. You cannot do this from the same start-up disk. Reboot from your install disk (holding down the C key). Once it opens, select your language, and then go to Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Select your hard disk as before and click Repair.
Once that is complete reboot again from your usual start-up disk.

menu. I would like this menu to have a "sliding-doors two-image"
style background which is as wide as the menu items go, as the png
    fiile below shows -

Can anyone help me position and create the correct images eg
short left image and long right image or vice versa? Im not sure
how to do it! All the images I have are in the "thisisatest"
    directory.
