Help with microsoft exchange

Hi,
I currently get mail, calendar and contacts via my MS Exchange (personal account)
I have just received access to my works server to allow me to get email etc on my Iphone but have heard that the Iphone only allows 1 exchange connection.
If so, is there any way to sync all my personal stuff (mail, cal, contacts) and also sync my work stuff.
If i delete my personal exchange account i lose all contacts, calendar entries from the iphone and I do not want that!!
C'mon Apple, there must be a solution to this?

You aren't addressing Apple here - this is a user to user help forum only.
You can access only one Exchange account via ActiveSync with the iPhone's Mail application. I believe this is an ActiveSync limitation, which is a Microsoft product that Apple has licensed from Microsoft for use with the iPhone and with the Snow Leopard OS on a Mac. It isn't possible to access more than one Exchange account via ActiveSync with a Windows Mobile device either.
Are you also accessing your personal Exchange account with an email client on your computer? You need to export your Exchange contacts and calendar stored on the Exchange server for import by an application on your computer that is supported for syncing direct via the iTunes sync process with your iPhone.
You can sync business contacts and calendar events over the air with a company Exchange account, and sync personal contacts and calendar events direct with a supported application on your computer via the iTunes sync process. You can view business and personal contacts and calendar events combined or separately on your iPhone.

I use a mac and my new company runs on Microsoft Exchange Server.  How do I view their calendars either in ical or on the web browser?  Also, should I use Entourage and if so how do I sync the calendars with Entourage?

Microsoft folks have offered this solution, which I will be trying.
    1. On the Tools menu, click Accounts.
    2. Click the Exchange account that you will use to access the delegated items, click Advanced, and then click the Delegates tab..
    3. Under People I am a delegate for, click Add .
    4. Type the name of the person who has added you as a delegate, and then click Find.
    5. Click the delegate's name, and then click OK.
However, as Diane mentioned, Outlook for Mac will not support accessing a secondary calendar. You also have to be a delegate for calendars before it will appear in Outlook for Mac. This is a limitation of EWS (the protocol Outlook for Mac uses to connect to Exchange) and is considered by design. The person sharing the calendar needs to provide you delegate access to their calendar before the non-default shared calendar will appear.
This link provides a video that explains how to add a delegate in Outlook for Windows:

  • How effective does iPhone 4 sync with Microsoft Exchange

    Hello,
Sorry for a possible repost but I did try to search for this topic but didn't find anything.
I'm really into the new iPhone 4 to use as a business phone. I have a Dell PC with Windows XP. The most important thing for me regarding iPhone is that the sync with Microsoft Exchange is flawless.
Can somebody (who has an iPhone and Microsoft Exchange) tell me how effective the sync is with iPhone and Microsoft Exchange? Does the e-mail sync quickly and how does the sync work with contacts and calendar. If I put a new calendar item in Outlook does it appear on my iPhone without me asking it to sync and etc.?
    Please do share your experience

Can I put the sync settings on the iPhone 4 to only sync between certain time interval? Say, monday to friday from 08am to 7pm?
If you want push sync, then, no, you can't set a time interval. The entire point of push support is that the server notifies your system whenever something new arrives or something is changed. If you want to control when your iPhone contacts the server, then you can't use push. You can have the system fetch data at a set interval, or you can set to do it manually, if you prefer, but there's no setting where you can set a time window.
And can I put the sync settings only to store a certain amount of e-mails? Say the 100 newest?
You can set how may days of mail to sync, and also how many emails to show.
You might find the the user's guide helpful in learning about features and settings:

I've had a similar problem.  On my first boot up after installing 10.7.4,  Firefox would not open.  Crashed every time.  Safari was not affected.  I have no idea if it was related to the flash plugin, but I did install a the latest version of that a couple of weeks ago.
Here's what fixed it: a second boot up.

I am want to configure SharePoint 2013 with Microsoft exchange 2010.
Please let me how can I integrate these server to Send/ Receive domain E-mails.

For email integration there really isn't anything special about Exchange 2010 vs. any other mail server.  Check the links here on configuring Incoming and Outgoing mail in SharePoint:

  • UCM certified with Microsoft Exchange Server ??

    Hi,
Is UCM certified with Microsoft Exchange Server ? how can we integrate UCM with Microsoft Exchange Server as we have Desktop Integration Suite to integrate with MS Outlook..
    Thanks,
    NL

As for the link to the manual, for 10g it's here (I believe for 11g it will be similar if not the same): http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10316_01/cs/cs_doc_10/documentation/admin/managing_system_10en.pdf
It also mentions that SMTP protocol is used. Therefore, you will need to know the SMTP address of your Exchange Server.
As for who uses it, I believe it is the majority or at least a significant part of the clients' installed base. Note that it is one of the most widespread email servers.

  • ITunes Says My Contacts Are Being Synced With Microsoft Exchange, But I Don't Have An Exchange Account

iTunes says my contacts are being synced with Microsoft Exchange over the air, but I do not have an Exchange account, and I have disabled over the air syncing on both my iPhone 4, as well as in iTunes. How do I remedy this? I did a complete Restore on my phone to rectify this, but got the same results.
I have worked for a couple of hours now; at first, none of my contacts were syncing with Outlook, even though iTunes said they were. Then after checking and unchecking everything I could find relating to syncing, some of my contacts synced. Now I've managed to get them all synced, but still getting this message. I need to make sure that going forward, all changes and updates are correctly synced manually whenever I plug my phone into my computer. Any suggestions?

You are getting this message because you are trying to create an iCloud account on a PC.  You can only create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher.  After creating your account on one of these devices you will then be able to sign into the account using this ID on your PC.

  • HT4972 has anyone had issues syncing with microsoft exchange server since upgrading to ios 5.1.1

Has anyone had issues syncing with microsoft exchange since updating to ios 5.1.1

No bug I'm using exchange at work I've updated a couple of people here and it's working.
Your IT guy can't fix this for you?   This problem usually is due to the exchange server not recogonizing your account.   You have the right server and domain entered?

  • What does it mean, in iTunes, "your contacts are being synced with Microsoft Exchange over the air"?

    Hello,
I'm trying to sync the contacts on my iPhone 5 with my contacts on my Mac Book Air (merge them), I'm also using Outlook (Microsoft) to manage my email account and my contacts.  I used to sync my contacts from my previous iPhone (4S) with my contacts on my Mac and also with contacts on Outlook.
Now that I have iPhone 5 I missed that sync (iPhone-Mac-Outlook), so I figure it out that in iTunes there is this message: "your contacts are being synced with Microsoft Exchange over the air. Your contacts will also sync directly with this computer. This may result in duplicated data showing on your device"
Every contact created on iPhone doesn't sync with my Mac or Outlook.
How should I configure my iphone and my mac to sync properly??
    Thanks a lot!
    Kind Regards,

Not surprisingly there have been no answers to this question because the only person who knows how to use iTunes/iCloud/iPhone is too busy.

I would like to know if it is possible to integrate Oracle HRMS 11.5.10.x with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 using Microsoft Identity Lifecycle Management (ILM) 2007?
Has anyone ever come across something like this and successfully achieved it? Does anyone know of a step-by-step guide (or forum discussion) to achieve this?
    Response(s) will be highly appreciated.

  • At my wit's end with Microsoft Exchange! Please Help!

    Here's the scenario:
Purchased a 3G iPhone on Sunday and I am trying to sync to my corporate outlook e-mail through Microsoft Exchange. If I don't get this working soon, I am returning it because I am running out of patience and I need my work e-mail.
Important Fact: I previously used a Palm Treo that also used ActiveSync. Two minute easy set-up and worked FLAWLESSLY. So the issue is NOT the server from what I understand.
I used the same exact settings for the iPhone and when I try to add the account, I get this message "Exchange account verification failed".
    I have tried:
adding /exchange after the server name.
adding /exchange/ after the server name.
    disabling SSL. enabling SSL.
adding the domain name in the optional domain field.
adding my user name as domain\username.
    I am being cap sensitive.
NOTHING has worked. I have reset, restored, etc, etc.
One interesting thing I noticed is that on my desktop, I can go to internet explorer and type in the server name https://xxxx.domain.com/exchange and I get outlook web access. When I try the same with Safari through the phone, I get "Safari can not connect because it can not establish a secure connection with the server".
Is this connected with my other issue?
Thank you for any ideas/ input.
    - Julie

The following steps should work if everything on your Exchange server is configured properly.
    All on your iPhone:
    Go to Settings
    Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars
    Choose Add Account...
    Choose Exchange
    Enter Email address
Enter username NOTE: be sure to use domain.local\username or domain\username(be sure to use the back slash)
    Enter your password
    Press Next
Okay, your iPhone at this point is going to attempt to connect to the mail server, but it will fail twice - after each failure, select Accept. After the 2nd failure, you will be brought back to the set up page, but you should now see the field Server
Enter the name of your mail server (typically mail.domain.com) into the Server field and select Next
At this point, the iphone should connect to the server, and then you will be prompted for what you would like to sync up in Exchange. You have 3 options - Mail, Contacts, and Calendar.

  • Ipad mini 3 can't sync with microsoft exchange email (iphone 6 can)

I have an iPhone 6 and iPad mini 3 (verizon). Both are set up the exact same. At work, I am able access Microsoft Exchange email using the iPhone mail app with wifi. (I work underground and have no access to cell service) However, the iPad Mini will not allow me to access my email over wifi using the mail app.
Here is the tricky part. 1)wifi works perfectly on the iPad Mini for all other functions (safari, other apps, etc.). 2)when I get home (or anywhere else) the iPad mini is able to access my work email without a problem. I am not using my cellular connectivity at home, so it has nothing to do with that.
Nobody at work seems to be able to figure it out. Is it a MAC address issue, IP address or a blocked port? Help me please!
All passwords and other settings are the same on the iPhone and iPad. Also, this is not a gmail exchange account. I already know that gmail does not support new exchange accounts. This is a work hosted email.

Here is what I gather from my reading:
-- delete you exchange account then re-configure.  Shakes things up.
    -- reboot device.
    -- re-install from backup.
-- use microsoft outlook for ipad.  ( some business do not allow.  check.  Why? caches info on amazon cloud. ) You should try as a trial at least.
2)when I get home (or anywhere else) the iPad mini is able to access my work email without a problem.
VPN vs no VPN?  Would seem there is a diff here.
    Re-boot ipad.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.  page 128 iPad user manual.
force power down if the above give you trouble.
Hold down both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button. Ten seconds or more.  Hold until the Apple logo appears.

Restore to factory settings by loading the latest version of ios that your machine will support:
Do a full backup of your device.  Twice is best -- cloud and computer.
"You can use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to factory settings and the latest version of iOS."
       http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
"You can put your iOS device into recovery mode, then restore it using iTunes.:

At last resort you could consider DFU (Device Firmware Update).  This could void your warranty.
