Help With MTP Device- Ple

About 3 weeks ago my Sleek Photo started acting up, and I have tried everything to get it fixed. Any advice would be much appreciated. Here are my specifics:
OS: Windows XP SP2
Media Player: Windows Media Player .0.5722.545
Player: Sleek Photo
Firmware: .0.0
Here's the problem. When I connect the Sleek Photo, I get a popup asking me what I want to do (Sync Music, etc). So far so good. However, when I try to sync (either through Media Player, the Creative Media Explorer, or Napster), I get the error that the device is not found. I also use Napster to Go, which also isn't able to locate the device.
Under Windows Device Manager, the player is listed as an MTP device, with the error that "No Drivers are installed for this device). However, under the driver tab, the driver is listed as version 5.25326.4762 with a date of 2/22/06. Additionally, the device manager window is in a constant state of "refresh", in that the window is MTP tab is constantly expanding and contracting, as if it is continually "relocating" the device. This is accompanied by a popup in the lower right portion of my screen saying that a "New MTP Device found", which continues to reappear constantly.
Here's what I've tried so far:
Updating Napster
Updating Windows Media Player
Rolling back Windows Media Player to version 0
Restoring Windows Media Player to version
Adding the Everyone permission to the USB registry key
Using System Restore to roll back to a time when the device was working
Switching the USB input from the back panel to the front panel
Uninstalling and reinstalling the Sleek Photo firmware (which I had to do from an old computer since mine won't recognize the device from the firmware installation utility, either).
I'd greatly appreciate any suggestions anyone might have. Thanks for looking.

WHen I push the power button it jut comes up wioth a blank screen with the Creative logo.
I tried also plugging it into my CP but the same thing happens.
I removed the battery like you said, but still, no progress.

  • Help with Audio Device Playback

Hoping someone out there can help. Before I updated to iTunes 7, I played back all of my iTunes music through some studio monitors connected to a Digidesign Mbox audio interface. Since upgrading, I cannot get clean audio using this device. When I select "Digidesign Mbox: Chan 1-2" as the default sound playback device in my QuckTime preferences, playing a song in iTunes gives me a garbled sound--almost sounds like a CD that's skipping. Can anybody help with a solution? I hate having to listen to my tunes through two tiny cheap computer speakers!
    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

I have the same problem. I get the garbled "Skipping" sound when I use the new version of iTunes. The only way I have to get around it is an old version of iTunes 6 I have saved - it has the same version of Quick Time Attached that was good (then) and should work with the WaveDriver. I have an MBOX 2 and it sounds GREAT.
It really is bad that Apple has this "New, Great" iTunes but it won't work with the existing hardware. I can go from my Sound Card out to my Monitors, but the sound quality is bad. And it is so much easier to just use the MBOX volume adjuster - it is very handy.
Apple, please fix this problem. I want to download DRM free music but iTunes 7.2 does not work with MBOX 2.

  • I am a beginner in Labview and need help with multi-device synchronization.

I am using a VI I found in order to continuously acquire and write voltage.  The next phase is to somehow synchronize this with a linear platform and am wondering if there are any tutorials on how to do this out there, or if anyone could give just general advice.  I'm not necessarily asking for explicit details on the code but rather where I would be able to improve my skills in a way that would help with this project.  Thank you in advance.

    Hi riraheta,
Are you using daq? Can you tell me more about this linear platform which you want to synchronize? What operation do you plan to synchronize?
There are some examples online which has to do in synchronizing devices, depends on what you're planning to synchronize. The following are the few I have found.

  • Help with USB device configuration

    Hi, LabVIEW 2009, Windows 7, x86
    1. I have just connected a USB Hanna HI3221 pH meter to the computer above.
    2. The device shows up in the Windows Control Panel as working properly and identified as an HI3221.
    3. I rebooted the computer, logged in again etc.
    4. I start the "NI Device Monitor".
    5. I plug in the USB Device and unfortunately as described on page 3 here
    http://digital.ni.com/manuals.nsf/websearch/231F4BE79F2F7CB58625758300711E6E
I do not get prompted to begin a measurement with the device, to begin an application with the device, etc.
I don't see the device in MAX either.
Although I can browse other connected USB devices as VISA resources in LabVIEW, eg. a USB Agilent U2355a as "USB0::2391::4888::TW48052027::0::INSTR", I cannot see this USB device.
Can anyone throw any light as to how I can configure up this device?
    Thanks in advance
    Mike

    Hi mike
Max is developed for NI hard ware and hence the
drivers are primarily designed for NI products. As the hard ware is third party
it is possible to create a driver using the VISA Driver Development Wizard .
Once created search for the device in MAX .

  • Need help with multiple devices and apple id

Between my husband and myself, we have two Iphones, two Ipads, and one Imac.  I back all of them up on my Imac using ONE iTunes account....we prefer not use Icloud, and I think that helps keep the information on each device relatively separate from each other...no overlaps with contacts and calendars.  We have one APPLE id and password, that we use for Itunes and the App Store.   We just got the Iphone 6 for my husband, and it keeps asking him to enter his Icloud PW.(his recognized user name is his PRIMARY email address)...which presumably he does not have, nor does he need (or maybe he does I need some real guidance on that).  To keep this from making him crazy can I just delete his Icloud account, which again presumably, was created automatically with the new Iphone 6 set up??
Similarly, I need to use FIND my Phone (etc), and HIS devices are not in MY listed devices....is this because he NEEDS his own APPLE ID, or is there a way to add his devices to my list of devices within the APP....I thought because we share the Itunes account they should all be in MY devices.
Can someone help me make sense of this?
    THANKS!!

    Hello melissaben6250,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are not seeing your husbands new iPhone 6 in your Find My iPhone app. First, while you may "prefer not use iCloud", you are using it, at least in regards to Find My iPhone for your existing devices.
Now, for your husband's phone and Find My iPhone. It sounds like during the setup of his phone, he logged in to his Apple ID and even possibly created another iCloud account. In order to see his phone on your existing Find My iPhone, it will have to log in to the iCloud account where the other devices are signed in. Take a look at this article on troubleshooting Find My iPhone, especially the first section on the device not appearing.

  • Help with multiple devices and one ID

I am sure this has been asked before but i apologize as I am new at all this.
    This is my issue...
In April I bought my wife and iPad 2 signed up for an ID and started downloading apps..no problems at all so far.
Within a month we had downloaded a bunch of apps for my 4 yr old.
I bought another iPad 2 for my 4 yr old so he can use on his own. This is the issue, in my wives iPad we downloaded some paid apps and some free ones, some of them are games that have been advancing as he is playing them...my wife has also downloaded some paid games that she has been playing.
So here is my dilema, can I sync my wifes iPad with iTunes and then move the apps that I want to my sons iPad?
Also, will the move also include where he left off in the app...for example if this is like a building a zoo type of game and he has half of it built...will the move include his progress or will it make him start from the begining of the game?
i dont want to use the same apps in two different iPads, i just want to transfer his to a new one and leave my wifes in her ipad.
Please let me know if you need more information in order to help me.
    Thanks Again

Have your wife transfer all purchases from the iPad into iTunes, backup her iPad and then sync with iTunes. Everything ... All media and other content will be available in that iTunes library and she will have a current backup.
Assuming that your son will still be sharing your wife's Apple ID (he is too young to have one of his own) .... When you set up his iPad, restore the iPad from your wife's backup and then select only the content that you want your son to have on his iPad in the iTunes library and then sync that iPad with iTunes.
The game progress is stored in the backup and should transfer onto his device when you restore from your wife's backup. You can always delete any content (apps, movies, music) that you don't want your son to have on the iPad, if you missed it when you synced with iTunes after setting the device up for him.
You can set your sync preferences - any way that you want to - for both devices and still use the same iTunes library for both iPads. So ... Yes you can sync any apps that you want to his iPad and any apps that your wife wants to her iPad. You just need to restore your son's iPad from your wife's backup in order to get his game progress onto his iPad.
    In case you need these....
    Transfer purchases.

  • Need help with many devices and one itunes account!!

I recently purchased each of my kids an Ipod Touch.  They all three are now using my Itunes account which has become a little bit of a problem.  The biggest issue now is with iMessage.  When a friend send a text message or tries to Facetime one of the kids, we all get the message.  They are all using my itunes account user name and password, for apps, music, etc....
What's the best way to seperate the three devices so they aren't all getting the same text messages?  Also, is it best to set up their own user accounts to sync their ipods with itunes?
    Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to use only one AppleID account for multiple devices but seperate imessage, you will have to use different email address to differentiate the device.
I would assume all your devices' imessage are setup under your AppleID email address.
First go to your kid Device's SETTINGS/MESSAGE/RECEIVE AT, Add another email address, type in email address of your kid(you will be asked to enter your Appleid password).  Once done, an email from Apple will be sent to this new email address to verify.  When your kid receive this email, click "Verify Now" link. The new email address now is ready for imessage.
Now go back to the same Device SETTINGS/MESSAGE/RECEIVE AT, go into your original email(your AppleID email) and tap "remove this email".  This will prevent your own imessage to appear on this device.
Do the same for all other devices for other kids.
You don't need to change anything for your own device.
That mean everyone will have an indepedent imessage based on their own email address.
    Hope this explains.

  • Newbie needs help with multiple devices?

Hi and best wishes to all.
I could really use some advice on the following.
I purchased an iPhone and set it up on my PC in the normal way.
A few months later, my Creative Vision battery died, and Creative's only advice
was "buy a new one!". No chance Mr. Creative! If you call that customer care, I'm moving to Apple! So I purchased a 64Gb iPod Touch and installed that.
I must admit to a little difficulty trying to manage both devices in iTunes, but I'm also willing to admit that if I found the time to read the manuals, I'd probably get it right!
    My main query is this:
I now use a second laptop when I'm away from my office and I want to mirror my main PC with my portable one, so that I can manage the iPhone and iPod on both machines.
Any advice on all of the above would be greatly appreciated.
Thaks in advance to all, and very best wishes!

Reading manuals is so 20th century. Instead watch this helpful video, courtesy of The New York Times: Yo Jude: Many iPods; One Computer.
The question of mirroring the library on multiple machines is quite a bit more complicated. Take a look at this support article: iTunes 9: Understanding Home Sharing.

  • Help with "Unknown Device - Location 65535 (Internal High Definition Audio Bus)" Please?

    Hey guys,
So I recently purchased a T400 2764CTO and I downgraded it from Vista Home to XP SP3. I have been following advices from the forums on finding all the "(?) Other Devices" that needed to be installed. However, I am still stuck on the one that is posted as "Location 65535 (Internal High Definition Audio Bus)"
    I have SP3 so I believe I have the KB888111 installed.
    I re-downloaded 6ea111ww.exe and installed it.
    I tried following http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/Conexant-Audio-Driver-for-Vista-4-92-5-and-... from KBAM's advice.
So I'm still not sure if I missed a download or something or did something wrong. Can anyone help?
Oh, I'm not sure if this is related, but my computer won't shut down unless I manually shut it off by holding the power button. I am assuming (with lack of computer knowledge, but with some little research) that it might be these missing devices that are needed to install. So yeah, thanks!
    -Danny

    detran01,
Regarding your Conexant driver issue (v3.64.7.00, for XP)...
Saw your post and wanted to contribute.
When you say you "downgraded" from Vista Home to XP/SP3, I gather you mean you installed Win XP "clean," as opposed to configuring the 2764-CTO for purchase with the factory Win XP "downgrade" image.
I say this because the factory Win XP image (which now ships as SP3) will load with the basic devices properly installed. (Still, a number of drivers will not be up to date and certain optional services require user action.)
Also, you report the machine was originally a Vista Home system.  As Lenovo's ordering system does not seem to allow substitution of Win XP for Vista Home, this pretty much confirms that you're installing XP from scratch. Indeed, while this would account for "missing" devices, it also facilitates your downloading current drivers at this time. All good.
OK, let's start with Herik's point.
Win XP/SP3 actually does include KB888111, so this prereq should not be an issue. Also, while Herik provides the registry key that can toggle a system's behavior between SP2 and SP3 (for purposes of Hotfix/Update installs, reporting to QFECheck and the CatRoot2 database, and running certain apps, etc.), folks should know that some MSFT packages can be troublesome if the "spoofed" registry key is used to force installation to an unintended SP level. (This behavior is a complex subject that has to do with dependencies--so generally, proceed with caution.) Nonetheless, forcing a new KB888111 install may not be a problem in this regard.
While overshou's post correctly observes that you have not installed the Conexant modem driver (this functionality is embedded in the same chipset as the audio features), it should not be required before installing the audio driver. Still, go ahead and install the modem (which will create a separate entry in Device Manager).
Your report and screen cap suggest that your Conexant installation is incomplete (and thus, confused). It's best to start fresh to get it right.
Incidentally, unlike the previous release, there are no installer-package problems with v3.64.7.00 for Win XP.
Follow the steps in this post, observing especially the procedures that ensure a clean install.
    http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/T400-T500-and-newer-T-series/Conexant-Audio-Driver-for-Vista-4-92-5-and-...
As to your shutdown issue, have you now resolved this problem or does it persist?
Let us know how you make out.

  • NEW USER - - HELP WITH SET UP PLEAS

Hey. I'm trying to connect a WRT54GS wireless router to my computer.  The modem that I'm using is connected to another computer. So i'm a little confused on how to connect them all. Please help!

    THIS SHOULD BE YOUR SETUP.
    MODEM------ROUTER-----COMPUTER
    1. Make sure that you can access the internet when the computer is directly connected to the modem
    2. Make sure that you are using an ethernet cable when the computer is connected to the modem. If you are using a USB cable - you need to contact your ISP to ask them to change the settings on the modem to use the ethernet cable.
    3. If you already verified that you can access the internet when directly connected to the modem using an ethernet cable, then run the cd that came with the router. It will provide you step by step instructions on how to connect the router.

  • Help with audiocs device driver with reduced record buffer

    Hi,
Iam trying to write an audio application, using the Sun audio driver. In the man pages there is no recommended value on how low the record buffer sizes can be. Iam able to set the record buffer size to a low value of 4000 and it works fine. When I try to set the record buffer_size to low values like 1920, which is a latency of (1920/160)*20 msec, I start to see noise when I record or read from the audio device.
Any inputs on what can be the problem when we set the record buffer size to low values like 1920.
Iam running the application on an Ultra 10, Solaris 8.
Any inputs on ways to remove the noise and decrease the latency will be very helpful.

  • Help with USB Device & ipod

GAH I am about to pull my freakin hair out. I accidently turned off my computer with my ipod still plugged in. Now when I turned the computer back on it's saying that the USB port isn't recognized and it won't let me reinstall it? I've went thru the troubelshooting page about 50 times and still nothing will work! I tried restarting my ipod but it's completely froze; the screen is stuck where it says Music, Photos, Videos, etc. and it won't turn off or on! Can anyone help me out? It'd be much appreciated because I really want to start using my ipod again. If you could e-mail me your suggestions at: [email protected] that would be great. Thanks a bunch!

Yes I tried restarting my ipod but it's still frozen! I tried holding down Menu and the play buttons like the website says to do but it's not responding at all! If anyone knows how to fix the USB proble that's what I need...thanks for the reply tho Senior!

  • Help With my System Plea

My name is Mike McDonald, Micario here.
I have an antiquated Pentium II 400,92 meg of Ram, XP Pro a Fairly good 5 speaker Quadaphonic, not surround system and a Sound Blaster Li've Value Card. I built my own system about 5 years ago.
I am a musician, guitar player and work a lot with midi and composing.
I recently purchased Finale 2005 - one of the best Music programs out there, and am writing with the intent to sell - both Guitar and small band stuff.
I have a 'human playback feature in my Software for Midi but the guitar still sounds like a piano somewhat and all of the other sounds are similarly off also. I have upgraded to the latest drivers but still get a phony sound. As I write web pages and upload midi files, I'd like better sounds at my end so that I can better write the music.
Does anyone know how I can improve the midi quality without the purchase of a new card. The problem as I see it would be a complete upgrade of my system which is unaffordable, and I believe that improving the sound card wouldn't buy that much in improvement.
Now I do intend to purchase a really good laptop next year when I hit the road, but until then?
Can I get better Synth Drivers?
Hope someone can help - Thanks - Mac

Are you playing back your MIDI files from within Finale? I had a problem (albeit with Finale 3, quite old, I know) which would do exactly that. However when I saved the file, and played it back with, say Windows Media Playe, it would sound Ok. I *think* (sorry, it's been a while since I last used Windows with my SB-Li've!) there's a way to select the WaveTable you want to use (either the internal HW wavetable or the software synthesizer). I don't know if you can currently select the synthesizer to use within Finale also. Antoher thing you could try is the use of soundfonts from the AudoHQ, the hard thing would be to find a suitable soundfont, though I think that synthesizer settings should "do the trick", just to make sure you could ask someone to playback the file and ask them if it sounded like a guitar or a piano.
