Help with multiple ADE accounts

Hi, I have a bit of a problem and was hoping someone more wise in the ways of Adobe could help me out, as my searching has failed so far. Back when I first got into ereading, I discovered Sony and set myself an account with them under my college email. Then I was given my Kobo Vox, which I setup under my personal email, and have mostly used since. I am going to be losing the college email, and my old prs-350 sony is dying. Back then I didn't realize that doing it that way created two different Adobe ID's. I was wondering if there was some way to merge the accounts under my personal email,and keep both sets of books. I know if I sign in to the ADE website, I can change my email address, will that make it so all the books from both stores will have the same Adobe ID? Or can I call Adobe customer service and have them do it? Has anyone managed that?

Hello, I have multiple purchases from multiple apple id's on my devices. These were all legitimately my purchases; however, depending on the company I was working for, etc. I couldn't have my personal itunes on the company computers. I used older programs, etc. to pull the songs off of my phone and into new apple id accounts, etc. Bottom line, many apple purchases under several apple ids but all made by me through accounts set up by me. However, I am thoroughly confused and do not know the names of these older accounts at this time nor do I have the ability to access the email that I used to set-up the account if I could remember the email aaddress used. Please, is there anyway to join my different apple id purchases under my main apple id that I currently use?

No, sorry. You cannot merge AppleIDs nor can you transfer purchases. No way around that at this time.

Help with multiple itunes accounts and NOT sharing

I have 3 apple ID's. One is for my work iphone, one is for my personal iphone, and I have one for my son's ipod Nano 6th generation.
I only have one desktop computer and it is a PC.
How can I keep my child's music for his ipod off my iphones?
I read the help tool about using different itunes libraries, but will that keep my devices separated when I sync?

Help with multiple Mail accounts

There are two user accounts on my computer. I am the administrator and recently set-up a .Mac email-only account for the secondary user.
Now, in the Mail application, I am receiving the mail for both myself AND the secondary user in my box. How do I set up the Mail for account #2 so it is totally seperate from my own?

Yes, I believe so. When I'm logged in as admin, I can see both accounts in preferences. Is that what you mean?

email account in Mail, I don't know how you would be
receiving messages addressed to the email only
account unless you also created the account in Mail
under your login account.
That's likely what happened. How can I fix? Should I delete the second account created under my admin login and re-create it somewhere else?

How can I share only the same music with multiple iTunes accounts

I hope someone can help. [I am using Windows Vista (Unfortunately J) and iTunes 10]
I am trying to share the same music library with multiple iTunes accounts. Basically, I want to know if there is a way to automatically upload to other libraries when importing new music into my library, vice versa. [Better information below]
Me, my sister and my dad all use iTunes (on different iTunes accounts), and before now we used to have are own music on our own windows user. Due to many duplicates and a loss of hard drive space I have brought an external hard drive and organised all the music.
It was all going well - I first populated all the music onto my iTunes, exported the library, and then imported it on both the other users. However! Because this is only a copy of the library, when I try to import a new CD, it will not show up on there’s until I “Add File to Library”! Originally I thought about using the same library however we each have are own apps etc, that we don’t want to share.

Unfortunately the support is down at the moment, I will have a better look later. I did go though the Apple support previously, however I found nothing that worked.
The first thread I came across was “Home Sharing” however no mater what I did, it did not appear in the iTunes sharing list (I did go though the “Show Sharing Networks” support as well)
Secondly, I saw “Using A Single Library With Multiple Accounts On The Same PC” (Something like that) but all this did was let us share the same music location, if I was to rip extra music, it will not show in there library

New Mac User: iTunes Auth with multiple user accounts

With a Mac with multiple user accounts, does EACH user account need to have iTunes authorized, or is iTunes authorized for an entire mac machine?

So then I assume that iTunes will know then if each of the computer's user accounts has a different iTunes account?
When you authorize an iTunes account on your computer, the authorization info is stored in \Users\Shared\. When you run iTunes, it looks there to see if it can play purchases. The purchase account info is embedded into each purchased file.

1 Apple TV 2nd Gen, Windows 7 Computer with multiple user accounts

The issue that I am having is I have 1 Apple TV 2nd Gen and Windows 7 Computer with multiple user accounts.
When I log onto my Windows user account, open up Itunes and turn on home sharing my Apple TV work perfect but if another family member switches to their Windows user account without logging me out, the home share shows up on Apple TV but it just says "Loading ... Library" and never loads.
If we switch back to my user account, restart iTunes, everything is fine. Is there a way to keep my home share active in ATV2 across multiple user accounts? All of my video is under my account.

You can home-share multiple libraries but only use one account at a time.

Migrate itunes from pc to mac with multiple user accounts

I've read the numerous articles on transferring one's itunes library from a windows machine to a mac and I *think* I've got the details sorted (have itunes copy everything and then organize my library, then copy whole folder to external drive). I only have one itunes account but it my full library and itunes account is used across different windows user accounts.
My mac is setup with multiple user accounts and I'd like to have a single library and single itunes account (same apps, etc.,). I'm not quite sure how to migrate the library from windows and then set it up on the mac such that all mac user accounts are sharing the same library and itunes account. Any guidance?
Forgot to mention, have 2 iphones and 1 ipad as well, all attached to the same apple id.

IMac with multiple user accounts "cannot associate apple id for ....."

I have an iMac with multiple user accounts each with an Apple ID and individual iTunes library and Itunes match linking to iPhones iPads etc.
I bought songs on my iPhone yesterday, on trying to listen to them on the iMac (my user account) this morning I get the "cannot associacte Apple ID for another 31 day" meassage.
Is there any way round this? or is the answer only purchase via iTunes on the iMac in the individual account. Why do Apple do this?

Having trouble with multiple user accounts

I am still getting used to Aperture and am having trouble with multiple user accounts on my Mac.
My wife and I have separate accounts on our Mac, and both have Administrator rights. We keep our Aperture library in the "Shared" folder, and I have made sure that both she and I have read/write capabilities on the Aperture library.
However, she has difficulty creating new projects, saving data, and viewing thumbnails in Aperture. Whenever she creates a project, it does not save into Aperture, and cannot be viewed by any user. In addition, changes she makes to photos do not save. She also cannot view thumbnails of any photos (although she can see the photos in the viewer).
Are there any changes I need to make to the user accounts so she can have all these capabilities?

Rather than having the Aperture library reside in the shared folder, keep it within a folder residing at the top level of your mac, eg.
I actually keep mine on one of my RAID disks.

i'm using mail on osx 10.7 with multiple gmail accounts. when i create an email, i check to be sure i'm sending/replying from the correct account. after i send it, somehow it actually sends it from a different account, other than the one i've selected "from." this is evidenced by the reply email i receive. how can i fix this?
in preferences, i have "send new messages from : account of selected mailbox"

From the Mail menu bar, select
          Mail ▹ Preferences...
The Mail preference dialog opens. Select the Composing tab from the row of icons at the top. From the menu labeled
          Send new messages from:
choose
          Account of selected mailbox
Note that this setting may have no effect if you start a new message while a VIP or smart mailbox is selected in the mailbox list. Those are saved searches, not actual mailboxes.
If the problem remains, select the Accounts tab in the preference dialog, then select the affected account in the list on the left.
In the Account Information pane, select the correct server in the menu labeled
          Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
If there's only one server in the menu, select
          Edit SMTP Server List...
and add a new server with the correct settings. If you're not sure how to do that, try the Mail Settings Lookup.
Another possibility is that the wrong card in your address book is selected as yours. Select your card in the Contacts application. Then select
          Card ▹ Make This My Card
from the menu bar.

User exit after selecting vendor with multiple bank accounts

Hi,
the requirement is that a pop-up should appear after the user selects a vendor with multiple bank accounts, in transaction MIRO, FB60, F-43 and a few other transactions.
I was thinking of a user exit. Honestly, I wonder if this is technically possible ?

Cannot ping ibook with multiple admin accounts

i am trying to set up remote control across a LAN, and have had success with two iMac G5's controlled from my dual G5. the problem is that i can't connect to an iBook with exactly the same settings and firewall config.
in trying to troubleshoot, i have noticed that i can't ping the iBook, and the only thing i can think of that is different is that the iBook has two user accounts, both of which have admin privileges. could this be causing the problem?
if not, what else could i try? any suggestions, please?

I doubt very much that the problem is caused by having two user accounts with administrator privileges. I have several systems with multiple admin accounts and have never had them cause a problem with the network.
Since you can't even ping the iBook, that would seem to make it a problem with the OS or the network, not with Apple Remote Desktop, so you might have more luck getting suggestions if you ask in the networking forum in the appropriate Mac OS X area.
