Help With My Gift Card!
I recently got a $50 itunes gift card sent to where i live in Toronto Canada from Las Vegas Nevada. It wont allow me to redeem my card in the canadian itunes music store because the card was purchased in the U.S. When i go to change my personal information so that i have permission to be active in the U.S. itunes music store it asks for a credit card to change countries. is that really nessasry if you are using a prepaid card?!?!?!?
Sorry, but a gift card purchased in the US can only be used in the US iTunes Store. You will not be able to redeem it in the Canadian iTunes Store, and unless you have a legal residence in the US (and as proof can provide a US mailing address), you won't be able to open an account in the US Store. These restrictions are in place by demand of the record companies and other content owners, not by Apple's choice.

You're not talking directly to Apple folks here, nord. We're a user-to-user troubleshooting forum.
If you want to guarantee that an Apple person hears you, you could try using the iTunes product feedback form. Here's a link to that:

Not able to sign up for iTunes Match with iTunes Gift Card
Last night I purchased $30.00 worth of iTunes Gift cards , redeemed the cards against my iTunes account and attempted to sign up for the iTunes Match ($24.99 per year) only to find out that I must provide a credit card on file before they will allow me to sign up. I never imaged that Apple would require a credit card on file. One of the reasons that I chose Apple products was the ability to purchase with iTunes Gift cards to reduce my risk of fraud when the account become compromised .
Also I have Apple IDs for each of my children and they receive iTunes Gift cards as presents that they purchase Apps, Music etc that they want. That way when they grow up and leave home they have their own Apple accounts to take with them. Apple should want life long Apple customers!! Just to let you know 14 year olds don’t normally have credit cards and I would never put my Credit Card info attached to their account. So if they own a Laptop, iPhone and iPad they are discriminated from using your iTunes Match because they don’t have a credit card? Really????
Apple to just let you know that I have a Microsoft XBOX Live membership that I purchase a Live gift card once a year to renew my subscription. I can’t believe that Microsoft can figure out how to provide customers a better user experience that Apple.
Please fix this quickly as I would like to use your iTunes Match and other iCloud services that you plan on releasing later this year however I will not be using my credit card so I may have to look for other device options. If you need any help figuring out how to meet your business requirements please let me know as I would be glad to provide suggestions.

PS If any one over there knows a way around this please let me know.I've been through the same ordeal. I wanted to renew my iTunes Match service, had over $100 credit in the iTunes Store, but wasn't able to use that credit to pay for the renewal. Apple requires you have a valid, working credit card on file to renew for some reason. But once you put in a credit card, the charge is actually taken from your store credit, not the credit card. So, it's very odd and doesn't make any sense to me, either. But there's no way around it without a credit card, that's what Apple Support told me when I contacted them about this same issue.

We redeemed the iTunes gift card.
The dollar amount appears next to the account name in the upper left hand corner.
HOWEVER, when we go to actually purchase a song, instead of just deducting money from the dollar amount, it takes me back to the Edit Payment Information page.
The songs are not appearing in my Library.If you are having issues with your gift card, the following article will help:

Contacting iTunes Store Support
Go to the iTunes support page and select your iTunes country.
From the iTunes support page, choose Contact Support on the lower-left side of the page.
Follow the instructions to get iTunes Store support assistance.

I understand you are unable to purchase items from the iTunes Store as it is requiring your old credit card information. You can try and change your payment method to none and see if it will allow you to make a purchase using your gift car. However, if there are any outstanding balances, you will be required to enter credit or debit card information before you can make purchases.

Very very likely that tax is applicable and tax is more than $0.01. You need to add a payment method for the tax. If you add a credit card, the girft card balance will be used up first.

You will only be able to use one account at a time with the Apple TV. This will mean that you can only rent or purchase content from one account, you would need to log out and into the other account in order to rent or purchase from that.
You should however, be able to use content from both accounts in iTunes on your computer, provided that the content from the account that you are not logged into is authorised to be played on that computer. Consequently you should be able to AirPlay content from both accounts to the Apple TV from iTunes or play content from both accounts via the computer section on the Apple TV. -
