Help with my ipad and vodafone

hello all hope someone can help me as im stuck. my ipad 2 broke about 3 weeks ago so took it to vodafone and they said they would try and fix it but could not so they sent it to apple
last week had an email saying it was fixed and would be ready today to pick up, so went down to vodafone and its not fixed they now saying they cant fix it while the track my ipad is on or they is a lock on it somewhere when i done a factory reset on it before it got sent of so its not on as have no apps or anything on it

They are correct, if you have Activation lock with Find My iPad turned on then the people troubleshooting your iPad would not be able to get anywhere because your Apple ID password would need to be entered in to get to a home screen. Check out the articles below for more information about Activation Lock. As far as the original issue, what is going on with that?

Can anyone help with my iPad and iTunes?

I have just plugged in my ipad into my mac and it is asking do I wish to set it up as a new device or sync it with my other devices ie iPhone. My ipad has completely different devices and I do not wish to lose everything on my iPad. Can you help??

Leighs21, I believe it is asking if you would like to Set the device up as new (with computer, Choose yes) or if you would like to restore from a backup of another device. Setting up as new is just on the computers end, not your entire device. This is because it is the first time you are plugging into itunes with that device or the first time after a restore or erased content and settings. Let me know if this helped you. Get an iCloud back up if you are concerned.

I know if I go where there is wifi ( like a friends house ) I can connect if I have the password .
But my friend is using Talk Talk wireless he saids he was not given a password .
So how can i connect? When i go to his house . Is it possible he has no password ?

Need help with iTunes, iPad, and macbook

I have a macbook pro and 12 ipad 2's. I want to be able to go to the itunes store (on the macbook) and download apps to the macbook and then have the same apps installed on the ipads. How does one accomplish this?

Thanks....that's been done. I downloaded a free app called "ScoreMobile" (while on the macbook). I see it in iTunes>Library>Apps, but I don't see it on the ipad. How can I tell if it's on the ipad? Does it just show up on the desktop as icon or do I have to dig deeper?

Scroll down to the bottom of the email. Is there a message there to download the rest of the email?
Quit Mail and try again. Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it jiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Yes, synced my iPhone first, this morning
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
Tried every combination imaginable, including the settings that I had when syncing my iPhone this morning.

I'm not aware of any viruses or malware for iOS devices (except for jailbroken devices), but it might be a software bug.
Try closing all apps via the taskbar and then do another a reset and see if that helps. To close all app : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Reset as before i.e. press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Thanks. I got the problem fixed. Spent time with the Apple folks and was kicked up to a senior advisor. It seems the problem was with my internet provider - Tmie Warner. Remember I could use the old ipad and the iphone to send mail. I checked all the specifics between the three units. It seems that TW is changing over from the RR.com to TWC.com. Since the new ipad air was just set up, it fell under the new TWC mail specifics.

It sounds like either your hard drive or the SATA cable that connects it to the motherboard are failing. This could be heat related in your case, which is why you see it after it runs awhile. You can take it to the Genius Bar for a free evaluation. If you decide to test it yourself, I usually suggest moving the hard drive to an external enclosure. If it works there for awhile, the cable is probably the issue.

Go to Settings/icloud. The Apple ID at the top of the screen is the only one you need to be concerned about. That one MUST be a working ID, and you must know the password for it, or you will be unable to use the phone if it ever crashes, you want to update it, or you want to sell it.
