Help with my iPod Shuffle ~ it's not working.

I have and ipod shuffle and it's not working for me. When I turn it on it blinks green a few times then shuts off. I push the play buttin again and it blinks green then red, green, red... a few times, then shuts off. What's happening, is it junk?

I solved my problem by restoring the shuffle to factory settings on the summary screen. Now it seems to work the way it's supposed to. Many thanks to Apple for zero help, as usual. Apple should direct less resources to developing the next snazzy ipad and more to cleaning up and enhancing itunes. I'll make the same editorial comment about the iphone 4 voicemail options.

WHATEVER you do, do NOT put it in the oven, even with the door open and it at its lowest setting. i heard of someone who did that, and they totally killed their ipod. made me laugh out loud

Ipod Shuffle (2nd gen) not working with iTunes 11.0.4

I have my shuffle set to Manually Manage songs, and can view and add to the Ipod through 'On this Ipod' but highlighting songs and hitting the delete key is not working to remove songs. The process works for my other Ipods including my Touch and Classic. I don't want to 'restore' my Ipod because some of the content is only stored on a computer that isn't working at the moment, I just want to get rid of some of it to make way for new stuff.

Actually it turns out I can't even add to it. It claims it's synced to another library (which apparently is true, being as it was last used with my Macbook Pro). Somewhat new question, How do I combine the two libraries, as it's all mine, just on two different computers, one of which doesn't work unless it's in Hard Disk Mode.

If you are running Windows OS. The requirements to use an iPod or shuffle are
Latest version of iTunes and Quicktime
You can get the latest version of iTunes with Quicktime by going to
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and choose Windows 2000/XP
There is no other software or hardware required.
Some Quick Tips. Try using different USB Ports on your PC and see if iTunes shows your shuffle. Your shuffle is going to appear in the left hand side of iTunes.
If you open iTunes and look at the left hand side. Look for an area called Devices. If you see this right below that will be your Shuffle name.

1-800-275-2273 where a helpful agent can guide you through these articles and assist you with any other questions you may have about your shuffle.

Help with my iPod shuffle!

I recently got an iPod shuffle for xmas. The iPod was bought in Sweden, and my Dad installed iTunes onto his laptop then put music from that laptop onto my iPod. It worked fine.
Then I got back to the UK, installed iTunes and tried to put music onto my iPod. iTunes said that the music had been copied over fine but when I tried to listen to it nothing could be heard.
I checked all the usual stuff: sound, headphone, pause etc.
I reinstalled iTunes as well to no avail.
So my question is: do you think it is something to do with the fact that I used it on my dad's laptop first? Or that it's from Sweden? Or is it bust...?

If you have not already, shut down (power off) your computer. Disconnect all USB devices including hub, except for standard keyboard and mouse, if nornally used. Do this to reset the shuffle

I have an iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen since a long time and it always worked perfectly. But now it has stopped working well. It has music stored inside and it plays it, it evencharges from the pc, but doesn't sync in iTunes, nor it shows up on Desktop. On iTunes the message in Italian says idt couldn't be identified and to reconnect the iPod and retry. I tried the Reset Utility but it says my iPod isn' supported even if it is a 2nd Gen iPod. The only positive thing is it shows up on System Profiler.
I tried also turning off the iPod for 5 seconds and turning it again on, but the issue is still there.
Have you got any suggestions?

You either need to kill all sounds when they click the
Next/Back buttons OR you could disable the buttons until the sound
completes.

You can change the "repeat" setting on other iPods that have a screen. However, on a shuffle, the currently selected list always repeats when the end is reached. There is no setting for repeat on a shuffle

Help with 2 ipods on 1 computer - - NOT music, but apps

This is not about music on 2 ipods, but applications. How can I manage 2 ipods? If each one has 75 different apps, how can I keep them seperate? Do I have to checkand uncheck the boxes on all 150 apps each time I switch ipods?

I came across a user having a similar question so from what I read this what you need to do but am not totally sure though ! Just set-up 2 seperate I-TUNES software . and make sure that you don't save over the old I mean the first one when you add the 2nd one.

Need help with XiFi Platinum... Not worki

Hello everyone, I'm having (some?) trouble with my XiFi Platinum. I've had it for a little over a year now, and I personally think it's broken but I just want to be sure before I go out and buy something to replace it...
So yesterday it worked fine justl like new. Then I installed a new 8800GT (From 2 7900GT's being removed) and connected that. I had to rewire some things, move a harddri've around to make it fit, etc, but i didnt really mess with the soundcard, there was no need to. But when I turned the computer on after installing I find that there is no sound at all. Windows didint even detect the card anymore and simply said ''no audio device'' in the sound properties.
I then proceeded to re adjust the card in the same PCI slot and after reboot windows did recognize the card properly. I continued to test if it worked, because all the software settings said it should be working. I turned on my speakers and without even having any audio files running i had this high pitched ringing noise that never went away (until i turned off the speakers).
OK so I thought it might have been the PCI slot, so I doubtfully tried another slot. The card isn't recognized at all in the second slot, and I go back where I started to ''no audio device detected." I deleted the Creative drivers and downloaded the most recent XP32 ones that I'd need (SBXF_PCDRV_LB_2_5_0006.exe), but at the start of the installation it simply said something like ''there is no supported device detected, installation will now close.'' So at this point I'm not sure what I need to do because I think it's broken...

Also, this is a ''relati'vely'' fresh install of win XP that I did about 2-3 weeks ago. Reinstalled nVida drivers last night after installing the 8800GT. At this point I'm thinking that i might have burnt out the card at some point while working with the computer, and I can't see otherwise, but I dont know..

**EDIT** I forgot to mention that after I switched the card to a new PCI slot it was detected by Windows as a new PCI device, but it didnt work and I couldnt install drivers. Strangely I think the bios got reset or something because after I moved the card the MSI logo was displayed as opposed to the boot information, which I had it set on. The clock also got reset.. I'll have to look more closely at the bios to see if anything else got changed too.

Need HELP with Error -69. Conventional method NOT working.

I have had problems on and off with the iTunes-iPod syncing, encountering the -69 error message at points. I have read the Apple documentation on this error message. Removing the suddenly-offending music file from iTunes was easy enough in most cases, but now I am unable to sync the iPod at all. It seems that every file I have is suddenly causing this error message. Even new files I just downloaded and added to iTunes are giving me this message. It seems my iPod is unusable at this point. Is there anything else that I can do, or should I just get a new iPod?

Well, things just kept getting worse until even just connecting my ipod to the computer resulted in a complete crash of the whole machine.
In case anyone has a similar problem, uninstalling iTunes 9 and reinstalling an older version fixed the problem. I can now use my ipod again.

Help with new upgrade 8.1 icould not working with outlook on my pc

upgraded this morning to Windows 8.1. on my pc
I am using Microsoft Office 2010; my contacts, tasks and calendars are in iCloud.
Now when I am in Outlook, it will not open contacts, calendar or tasks .. It tells me: The set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened.

I am not bothering with windows 10 my friend, it is too much of an newbe baby at the moment and there are just too many bug fixes need doing in my opinion. I did manage to get my dolby home theatre to work again in windows 10, but it was an awful dulled down version with only half the features of the original that came with the version that was on my pc. My plan is to stick to windows 8.1 until it's death. When they withdrawl all the security patches for windows 8.1 and it becomes obsolete, then I will be forced to trash my pc again and go to windows 10, was not much fun mind spending 3.5 days putting everything back to its former state. Hope they do make windows 10 more stable and fix a lot of the bugs. I tried opening videos and pictures in windows 10.... result = missing element errors.... and error, error, error,,, So I think I will wait until 28 July 16 to when the last day of my free upgrade and reservation to windows 10 becomes mandatory.
