Help with On-the-Go Playlists and sync w/iTunes!

Hi I have an iPod Mini and whenever I have an On-The-Go playlist on my iPod, saved or not, and then sync it with my computer, the songs change, for example lets say I have Green Day's "Holiday" in an On-The-Go playlist, when I sync it with my computer, the song is now Vertical Horizon's "Best I Ever Had (Grey Sky Morning). If you have any idea what's causing this, please tell me! Thank You!
P.S. I have iTunes version 4.9 and iPod Mini version 1.4. I'm almost positive these are up to date.

i'm confused. you CAN clear the content of you on-the-go playlist on your ipod. just hit the clear button.
you can't have more than one on-the-go playlist though, and if you want to save it, you need to do this by syncing to itunes.

Hello, and thanks for reading this. I'm starting with a small project to start learning Premier.
I've taken about 25 second clips from some songs and mixed them into a 15 minute mix, I would like to incorperate live tour footage of him preforming the song in sync with the songs so that his mouth is moving at the same time and Hand and body movements and such. .
I'm having a hard time doing this because unlike Adobe Audition when you select a part of the timeline and hit space to play, and then hit space again to pause it and can have the cursor jump back to where it was when you hit play the first time, in Premier when you hit pause it stops where you pause it, and i have to move the timeline, which is very hard to do when I'm zoomed in so far because I need to be presise.
Is there a better way to do this, or any tips you can provide to help me?
So far I've added markers to the beginning and end of each song, but it still needs about 3 secs of fine tuning which is proving to be hard when I have to keep zooming out and moving back.

When using the trim tool to make a video shorter or longer, because when setting the in and out points i can't make them exact until it's on the timeline, can you shorten or lenghthen it per frame, like when using the alt key to move the video, instead of dragging with the mouse?

Am I supposed to be able to clear on the go playlists within my ipod touch? I asked someone at the Geek Squad and I was told "no". Re-Syncing was the only way to remove these?

It's not a bad install of Mountain Lion. I've had the same thing happen to me, but it affected not only Mail, but a variety of other programs including iPhoto and MS Office, where I had to delete preferences, caches, and reinstall the OS as well as the program itself. I'm still having issues with Mail, so I've gone to another program.
Everything was fine upon the initial install. I restarted my iMac about two weeks after the install, and that's when the issues began to happen. I've reinstalled Mountain Lion twice, but the same issues arise.
As I mentioned above, you'll need to figure out which preferences are causing the issue, then reinstall the program, as a fresh reinstallation will do you no good unless you wipe the drive completely.

New itunes is trying to wipe the ipod. But have many many playlists (many hours making) which I want to save. Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to just extract the playlists from your iPod, plug it in iTunes. When it appears under devices, right->click on it and choose Export Playlists. Save them to a location such as your desktop and them import them into your library once you have copied and imported all of your music back into it.

For example, in itunes on my computer a playlist has over 100 songs, but when I sync my phone, my iphone only shows 60 songs. I can go into my phone and add the missing songs to the playlist, but the next time I sync my phone the songs are gone again.

Wondering if you haven't been bitten by the new "feature" of iOS 5, as was my son. turingtest2 explained it very well in reply to my own query about "missing" songs in playlists.

In the past I could see the movies in iTunes with the cover photo and sync to the other devices but now there is a listing a movies with no cover photos and in fact if I try to view the movie on the MacBook Pro it cannot be found unless I download it.

All I had to do was complain. I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store. I have no idea why.

Try this fix discovered by User photosb189:
From Finder, hold down the option key on your keyboard and click on the Go menu at the top of the screen
Select Library from the drop down menu
Then navigate to Application Support > iLifeAssetManagement > assets
Right click on the 'sub' folder and choose Compress
Drag the resulting zip file to your Desktop (as a backup)
Go to your System Preferences and choose iCloud
Turn OFF the iCloud Photos option
Go back to Library > Application Support and DELETE the iLifeAssetManagement folder
Now, in System Preferences, turn the iCloud Photos option ON
iPhoto should now be able to launch. Give it enough time to re-download your Photo Stream content. if you are missing any of your My Photo Stream photos (more than 30 days old), unzip the sub folder on your desktop and drag that into iPhoto.

The CS3 discount offer is only for retail online product, it does not include education or volume license purchases. Refer to Terms and Conditions | Adobe
To check whether you had retail CS3 purchase, we need proof of purchase as well as serial number, without which the issue can not be resolved.

I think we need more clarification.
What do you mean by "download"? Only updates are available as downloads, the System software has to be installed from a DVD.

Playlist and sync

I had to buy new computer. Authorized the new computer and can purchase tunes. I can not however move the new songs purchased out of the purchase playlist and the new songs will not sync onto my ipod. Could use some help here. Iam getting very fustrated!!!

Unfortunately, I am having the same issue.
Even rebuilding my iTunes library didn't resolve the issue.
I am wondering if it could be a Windows XP issue as my Windows 7 netbook with virtually the same library works without issue.
The Album Art update also crashes when trying to update.
Very odd.
I have had some success with removing the Desktop Software and reinstalling it, but that only works until I change something in iTunes.

IPhone deletes 400 songs from playlist and syncs that to iTunes

Hi there,
I'm new on these forums, although I've been using iTunes (on a Windows PC) for many years.
I got an iPhone 4s, set it up to use iCloud and iTunes Match.
Now I chose to play a playlist (via Bluetooth) of about 500 songs randomly in the iphone. The phone downloaded the music via WLAN and played about 30 songs from that list. So far, so good.
Next day I realized in iTunes that only these 30 songs remain on this particular list - and the other 450 or so were gone.
I did change the list in iTunes prior to realizing this: I added an album, so it's these 30 songs + the new album.
Since I haven't used an iPhone before, I'm a bit lost as to where the error lies. Have I done something wrong? Is iTunes Match not working correctly?
Searching the web brought up many issues with iTunes Match, but nothing for this case.
Of course, I can give more info, if you need it. So, is there anyone who has an explication for this? Thank you in advance!

On a Mac, use Option+Delete to:
Delete the selected playlist and all the songs it contains from your library
Delete the selected song from your library and all playlists
You can find all the keyboard shortcuts in the iTunes Help menu > Keyboard shortcuts.
