Help with OSS Note Quality

Hi, I'm trying to review OSS Notes and I find a lot of notes that I feel don't have enough context to basically understand what the note is about. Basically I feel the Note Quality is poor. I found this one just today. Could someone look at it and let me know if they feel they understand this note or is it just me? Thanks!

I'm also there with you. This is something needs to be reported to SAP and they have review this OSS note as the description that they have given is not proper.
There is some more information is missing. They are talking about the deletion of Statistical data from the table: RSDDSTAT_OLAP .... but they did not mentioned about the actual issue for which the correction has been applied..
Onlyway to understand is that correction code that they have which will give some idea but this note needs more information to assist all users......
Me I used to work on serveral notes but I did not come across this kind of note..

Problem with OSS note 1529649 - Factory calendar expires 2010

Hi Experts,
I found a OSS note that is telling that calendar validity ends in 2010.
For the moment in my system factory calendar for all my sites is valid till 2020.
My question is that doesn't matter what date i have now in the system the validity will finish?
What i should do!!!

If the factory calender and holady calendar which is assinged in FC , both have same validity , then there should not be any problem .
For consistency , you can go down to OP03-Slecet HC-Change Mode -Keep the valaidty along with all the public holday calander validity till 2011 or 2012 .Similarly , do the same in Factory calander .
But re-assing the Calander to Plant once again in OP03 -Plant Assingent tab or re-assing at WC ( CR02-Capacity tab -Standard Avalaable Capacity ) also if you have similar kind of canalder also .

Note that the dev machine is x64 Win7.
I have not tried deploying this to staging since the issue started as I'm a bit nervous of touching the staging/live environment until this is solved.
Removing the PlatformTarget element from the project file has no effect
Removing the msshrtmi.dll file from the bin directory of the website project ends up with
'Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.WindowsFabric.Common, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified'
I have used Git to revert to the last working build to no effect (But I don't have the obj/bin folders in GIT), but it has atleast reset the project files etc.
If I return msshrtmi.dll to the bin folder and switch the model and website projects to x64 there is no change
If I switch both to x86 then I get an error Could not load file or assembly 'BekoModel2011' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.
which is the model project - presumably because to run on my x64 machine I need the 64bit version?
I really need to be able to debug and then publish some changes ASAP.

Is it true that you're using IIS to host the application? Could you check whether the process is x64 or x86 one via task manager or config in IIS manager?

There are plenty of threads about boot-time optimisation, and a wiki page also. Please search/read before asking.
Also, as you clearly intend to mess around with system-critical stuff like the kernel and its modules, I'd strongly recommend learning about it first, rather than just asking for a list of modules to remove.

Problem with OSS note

Hello. I do not know if there is anybody in here that has encountered this problem but....
We have NEW GL activated so we have to use transaction FAGL_FC_VAL with program FAGL_FC_VALUATION for closing year and converting some documents from local currency to other currencies.
When I run the program, there is a error concerning string length:
Runtime Errors READ_REPORT_LINE_TOO_LONG
Exceptn CX_SY_READ_SRC_LINE_TOO_LONG.
I have looked for a SAP note that corrects this error. I have implemented it but still...there is no effect. Suggestions?
The error takes place in K_KKB_FIELDCAT_MERGE function at line 366.
I do not thing that trimming the variable from 75 to 72 chars is a solution.

Hi. I have looked for OSS notes for this error. There is a note 1013501 that say this is an programming error and it can be fixed with correction instruction 844370 or install package SAPKH50016.
Still, after implementing the correction instruction, it didn't work.
For the moment I do not want to install packages.
My system is 5.0. Retail configuration.
Could you tell me the line numbers of that code?

Help with getting high quality DVDs from AVCHD footage

Hello,
I know enough about video editing with PE7 to be dangerous, and was hoping someone could help me out.
My question is regarding getting the highest quality standard DVD from AVCHD footage. I have a Sony HDR-SR12 camcorder recording in AVCHD. I am editing footage natively in AVCHD with PE7 on a quad core system. No problem with that. However, when I export to standard DVD the quality of the video goes down drastically. (Yes, I know burning to Blu-ray would give me higher quality, but I am giving this DVD to a friend who doesn't have Blu-ray).
So far I have tried starting my project in both HD 1080i 30 5.1 channel:
General
Editing mode: HDV 1080i
Timebase: 29.97 fps
Video Settings
Frame size: 1440h 1080v (1.333)
Frame rate: 29.97 frames/second
Pixel Aspect Ratio: HD Anamorphic 1080 (1.333)
and Full HD 1080i 30 5.1 channel:

Frame size: 1920h 1080v (1.000)

But I see no discernable difference in the quality of my output onto DVD.
This is where my knowledge is lacking...how can I get the best quality output from my AVCHD onto a standard DVD? Is there some format I can convert to first, and then burn to DVD? Also, I am willing to break the footage into a couple of DVDs to improve the quality, but I don't know how or what to do for that.
My footage looks REALLY great when viewing from the HDR-SR12 direct to HD TV with HDMI cable, but not very good on the DVD. My footage is of a ballet recital, and I lose definition in the faces, costumes, etc on the DVD output.

This may be a year late, but as I have been pulling my hair out trying to solve this problem for the last 48 hours I finally did find somewhat of a work around, but it requires Adobe PP CS4.2.
There is a plug-in here:

Which will actually output your edit as an AVCHD file. You can then burn this straight to an AVCHD using Nero 9 and keep the highquality level of your clips and not need Blu-Ray. The DVD player will need to be AVCHD capable, but I just bought one of those for $40 as compared to the $200+ of most Blu-Ray players.

Need major help with websites not loading...

So I have done what I think is everything... some websites just don't load... they tell me... that the server dropped the connection or that it timed out.
So, I've worked with my dsl provider and they even came out with a computer (PC) and the websites seemed to have worked for them. I reloaded the operating system... nothing seems to be working... I even tried to browse with the firewall not on. Help. Please... I need to call Applecare again but this is making me crazy...

I agree with Al Van, you should post a couple of URLs for all to check out. You should also give a few more details, type of browser and type of connection (wireless or ethernet).
Here's a good link to check on your connection speed and quality of connection: http://myspeed.visualware.com/ - this uses Java, if you have difficulty with this link post back.
I surf the web with both a Mac and a PC and have never had problems loading websites on either computer (unless they were offline). I occasionally will run into sites rendering differently on each computer. The problem you described "the server dropped the connection or that it timed out. " is a connection issue or your Mac is taking "too long" to gather info and rendering page...
Post back with more details... Rick

Seems it requires online content and a CS Live account to do anything.
But when I try to create one it dies with the error message:

UPDATE: Downloaded update and that fixed things.
However, turns out my NFR of CS6 Production Premium doesn't allow me to use Story.
And here all I wanted to to do try out the transcription features of Premiere Pro.
Without a script it's complete gobbledygook. Would like to try it with a script but it appears I need Story to convert my PDF to Adobe Story format.
Oh well.

Help With Recovering Notes?

Hello all,
I keep a health diary on my iphone. Lat night I was typing yesterdays note and when I went back to the Notes home screen, a years worth of notes were just gone. Poof. They were there before I started writing the note. I don't know what happened but I need help recovering them, please.
Ok, I do have a backup of phone on iTunes but it is probably a month old, so it will not recover everything.
I have notes in Gmail and iCloud.
Gmail's notes are an exact copy of what I have on my phone. It has notes from 9/5/10 to 11/30/13 or so with some dates missing, and yesterdays note (8/7/2014).
iCloud picks up where gmail leaves off around 11/30/14 to yesterday's 8/7/2014 note.
So it's like it is split. It's like someone came along and deleted the last year's worth of notes in gmail or the iphone and it synced immediately. I don't have icloud set to backup notes so I don't know how it got all the current notes but I am glad it did.
I'd like all the icloud notes back on my iphone without deleting the older notes too.
Any ideas?

Well, the notes were there all this time with Notes in iCloud turned off.
I have written new notes and those show up in my gmail Notes folder. And the ones that are gone off my phone do not show up in Notes Folder. And I didn't have the setting turned on in the first place. The new notes are on iCloud too, but I still had the setting off all these days. Plus, when I turn on Notes in ICloud, sometimes they are there and sometimes they are not.
Apple ways confuse me. Can I restore the notes only, without messing with everything else, from an itunes backup?
I'm looking for another answer, I really don't want the iCloud setting on, my battery on my 4s is bad enough. That's why I had it turned off. I do not know how they are getting on iCloud in the first place can someone explain?

Help with choosing Export quality CS4 souce sony handcam hybrid

I am having trouble getting a good quality once I export my sequence . I have tried different formats and none of them seem to be as good as the original source video. I am using a sonyhandycam hybrid with the quality set at 9m HQ. What would be a good project setting and a good formant and options to export for the best quality? I would like the best quality I can get for a DVD, I sometimes do some uploading to youtube so any tips on that would be good as well. But my main focus is best quality for a DVD.

it is not a prob of the tool, but the standards. your source is 1920x1080, a DVD can contain only 720x480 ..
if you want 'higher' delivery-quality, consider BluRay (hmmm?) or a MediaPlayer (AppleTV, WD TV, PS3, .. )

Help with programs not opening!

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Miix 10.
Worked fine until recently. Now when I try to open something like Word or Excel, they don't open. Instead, it takes me to the desktop and does nothing. When I go to "troubleshoot compatibility", I have the option to test the program, allow access to change the computer (or whatever its asking for..) but it still does nothing. When I click no and select that the problem is not fixed, the troubleshooter lists incompatible program as being detected.
This is really inconvenient, and I am still getting comfortable with the windows tablet so dont exactly know my way around yet. anyone able to help out? thanks in advance!

You are posting in the "icloud on my mac" forum, but your profile mentions Windows. If using a mac, you need to have iphoto or aperture installed in order to receive new photos via photo stream. If using windows, try posting in the iCloud on a PC forum. You'll get better help there.

Help with itunes not syncing touch

We have three ipods and have never had a problem with any of them. Last night, after finding out about the 1.1.3 apps stuff I hooked up my touch to get all the goodies. My touch just sat there. It didn't say sync in progress, the battery pic did not come up and itunes did NOTHING! Since I really haven't had much trouble like this, I don't know where I should start. Any help will be appreciated.

Can someone help with 'itunes not responding' (please)

Hi, hope some (cleverer than I) person can help. I have a nano - working off laptop with XP home. I upgraded to latest itunes and now whenever I start itunes it freezes and if I open task manager it shows itunes as 'not responding'. I have reset the nano and ensured it has latest operating software on board. I have even got rid of all music files from laptop. I have tried (several times) removing itunes completely (including those files that do not get deleted by a standard 'undelete') and still this problem persists. It all worked fine prior to this ******* latest itunes download ****. Why are apple such greedy tossers? Please help if you can I am so ****** off.

Dont know if this will help or not do you have norton security. if so follow this
have found a solution that works for me with windows XP. First restart the computer and don't start up itunes. Open Norton Internet Security and click on Status and Settings. Then click on personal firewall and then click on Configure, and click on the Programs tab. Scroll through the list of programs until you have goten to Apple itunes. Change the interntet Access to Permit All. Once you have saved these settings start up itunes. That worked for me. Please tell me if this helps anyone.
