Help with password and authorization
I had a problem with my Kobo recently and had to reinstall both the Kobo and ADE on my computer. The 2.0 version did not work but I finally found the 172 and downloaded it. I cannot however get the 2 to connect and think I may have tried to many times. I decide to try getting books on my IPad and did not know if I needed to set up a new adobe account , but since the other did not seem to want to authorize anything I set up a new one, same email but different password. When I put the password in it kept telling me that it was the wrong one, and now I need to have my authorization count reset. How do I do that and do I use the same login and password for my computer and my IPad. My computer has Windows XP on it. Please can you help as I am lost without a book to read.

Hi, I'm new to ISE.
I have an issue with authentication and authorization.
I have ISE 1.2 plus patch 6 installed on VMware.
I have built-in Windows XP supplicant and 2960 cisco switch with IOS c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE5.bin
On supplicant I use EAP(PEAP) with EAP-MSCHAP v2.
I created authentication and authorization rules with Active Directory as External Identity Source. Also I applied authorization profile with DACL.I login on Windows XP machine under different Active Directory accounts. Everything works fine (authentication, authorization ), but only for several hours. After several hours passed , authentication and authorization stop working . I can see that ISE trying authenticate and authorize users, but ISE always use only one account for authentication and authorization . Even if I login under different accounts ISE continue to use only one last account.
I traied to reboot switch and PC,but it didn’t help. Only rebooting of ISE helps. After ISE rebooting, authentication and authorization start to work properly for several hours.
I don’t understand is it a glitch or I misconfigured ISE or switch, supplicant?
What should I do to resolve this issue?

endYes. Tried that (several times) didn't work. 5 people in my office, all with vers. 6.0.1 couldn't access their gmail accounts. Kept getting error message that username and password invalid. Finally solved the issue by using Microsoft Exchange and "m.google.com" as server and domain and that the trick. Think there is an issue with imap.gmail.com and IOS 6.0.1. I'm sure the 5 of us suddently experiencing this issue aren't the only ones. Apple will figure it out. Thanks.

Help with writing and retrieving data from a table field with type "LCHR"
Hi Experts,
I need help with writing and reading data from a database table field which has a type of "LCHR". I have given an example of the original code but don't know what to change it to in order to fix it and still read in the original data that's stored in the LCHR field.
Basically we have two Function modules, one that saves list data to a database table and one that reads in this data. Both Function modules have an identicle table which has an array of fields from type INT4, CHAR, and type P. The INT4 field is the first one.
Incidentally this worked in the 4.7 non-unicode system but is now dumping in the new ECC6 Unicode system.

When I run our report and then to try and save the list data a dump is happening at the following point
LOOP AT T_TAB into L_WA.
As I say, T_TAB consists of different fields and field types whereas L_WA is CHAR 800. The dump mentions UC_OBJECTS_NOT_CONVERTIBLE
When I try to load a saved list the dump is happening at the following point
APPEND T_DATA-RAWDATA to T_TAB.
T_DATA-RAWDATA is type LCHR and T_TAB consists of different fields and field types.
In both examples the dumps mention UC_OBJECTS_NOT_CONVERTIBLE

When i attempt to sync my iphone it continues to say this computer is no longer authorized for apps and they will be deleted?? I don't understand?? I put my password and authorize but same message comes up. What to do??
I found the solution in another post. By deleting all my apps, I was able to sync the phone. I hope I don't have to delete all my apps every time I want to sync my phone, but at least now I am able to sync my phone.

Encrypt sensitive with password and calling sub pkgs
Hi we run 2012 enterprise and r introducing a db2 connection that "allows saving password".
We run from the file system (not the catalog) and face a challenge.
The default prot level on the SUB PACKAGE that has the db2 connection (only such connection right now) prevents our prod credentials from making the connection because its a different user than the one that created the sub pkg.
Encrypt sensitive with password seems a more strategic alternative but I dont know if the param (I think its called "decrypt") on the dtexec command line that allows passing a password at run time applies to just the parent pkg or all subs also.
I dont want to delay validation. I wouldnt even mind changing the xml connection string (by entering pswd in whatever syntax is necessary) using notepad but dont know what issues that will cause.
I wouldnt mind having someone logon and "re" save the pkg using the credentials of our prod userid and choosing the default prot level instead.
I also wonder if none of the other pkgs (including master) dont have any sensitive data, can their prot level defaults be left alone?
Can the community comment?If you are having sensitive info (passwords for conn strings etc) in our packages, the best way is to change the protection level to "encrypt sensitive with password" and then provide the password.
When we schedule a job or exec the parent package, the child packages are called automatically.

You said you wanted "Help with count and sum". I see the COUNT, but what do you want with SUM? No doubt this will be clearer after you post the sample data and results.

I have 2 email addresses (1 mac.and 1 blueyonder.) each with separate identities and passwords. I am forever getting asked to verify identity and/or passwords and having these refused and me then having to set up new ones. Can I combine my email addresses to a single Apple Identity and Password? If yes then How?

There is no means to merge Apple IDs. You can change the mail address assocaited with your Apple ID, so you might switch to using and purchasing from one email address, and using the second as a backup. (There's no means to merge the purchases, and related baggage.)
While I'm guessing this was about Apple IDs, for completeness... Combining the mail messages involving multiple email addresses is separate from the Apple ID; that is usually done with some combination of notifying the senders or with the forwarding of messages from one mail server to the preferred server. Or running multiple mail accounts in parallel, depending on what you are up to. -
Help with Applescript and Admin Privelages
I just started using Applestript a few months ago and I can't figure out how to give my script Admin rights. Basically, it turns on and off my internet sharing and file sharing through dialog boxes. I copied and pasted the whole code below if you want to test it, but this is the part that is giving me trouble. There are 4 lines similar to this, the actions that turn on or off the services.

I've tried adding "with password _____" and "password_____" but neither worked. Can anyone help me make this script authenticate itself so I don't need to keep typine in my password? Some things to clarify: The first shell script is there to invoke the "authentication" dialog so I can sign in once I launch the app and get right into the settings. However, I'd like to make it so the script doesn't even need admin permission to run, or make it somehow have my password built in to it. Security is not an issue, its my personal computer that nobody else has access to so I really don't care if my password is written in the code. Also, if you have any tips on how to streamline the Quit/Hide/Resume dialog I'd appreciate that too. Resume is there because there's a chance I won't have to sign in again if the app does not quit, however more often than not I have to sign in anyways. Thanks again in advance, sorry this post is so long but like I said, I'm pretty new to all this so I don't know exactly what you need to be able to help me.

If I'm reading this script correctly, it looks like you're putting up an applescript alert and leaving it hanging until it's dismissed. This is an atypical approach (applescripts aren't really meant to hang around indefinitely waiting for a respons). If I were doing this I would either go whole-hog and create an applescript application in XCode with a proper interface, or remove the hanging dialog and create a set of toggle scripts that I could use from the script menu. if you really want to keep the hanging dialog, though, you can streamline it by absorbing the secondary dialogs into the main dialog. that's like so:

Reformatting Computer's Hardrive: Need help with Backup and Restore?

I'm getting ready to reformat my hardrive and I'm backing up all of my files. All apps will be reinstalled after the drive is formatted.
I have a ton of music that I've purchased from itunes and mp3s that I've ripped from my CDs in my main itunes folder. I will backup this folder (if necessary). Do I need to back up the licenses? If so, where are they stored? Or, what's the best and most efficient way to go about this backup and restore process? If my Ipod has all my music/videos, will it just copy all the music/videos back to my newly reformatted hardrive while maintaining the original folder structure? I assume I will have to install a fresh copy of itunes first. Also, I'm worried about the licensing for the purchased music. Is there something special I need to do with these files?
I appreciate it if someone can give me the detailed steps to go about this without issue. I'm thinking this is a pretty easy question to all the techies out there...

BrandonBack up or copy the iTunes folder. There are no licenses to worry about, buy Deauthorize your computer in iTunes before you reformat. After you restore everything play one of the songs you purchased from the iTunes Store and enter your Apple ID and password to Authorize your computer.

Can anyone help with icloud and apple accounts getting mixed up on 2 phones?
Basically husband upgraded from 4s to 5c. Gave dad 4s. I tried to set his dad up with icloud and apple id but didn't realise husbands old sim card was in 4s. Now neither phone works and husband very annoyed his apple id and password don't work anymore. Please help!!!

So husband got new phone. Was all set up and up and running when we left the shop
Gave dad the old phone. It was locked to Vodafone so we had to ask them to unlock. He then got his three sim cut down to fit.
Weeks after husband had his 5c we went to dads to set his 4s up. I upgraded it to latest software iOS something. Anyway didn't realise it was husbands old sim still in phone.
After upgrade it asked me to set up apple account (I think) could have been icloud. Anyway I started setting it up with dads email and password choice. Husband then saw message on his 5c saying his dads email was being added to something on his phone.
At this point I left alone but now when husband tries to use his apple id for apps etc it says invalid user id or password. It's as though the 2 have got mixed up. Bit it won't let him reset his password?

For simplicity member log-in page is simple...contains only login and password fields(Submit too) in HTML code:

If you mean access data on the members page through your program, yes.
If you mean open a browser window to that page, I guess doable but might be tricky (with Robot and stuff).

DHTML List (Image) with Sublist and authorization problems

I wonder if anyone can help with this DHTML drop-down menu query:
We use hierarchical menus implemented as DHTML Lists (Image) with Sublists. When some of the items are hidden through authorization, the wrong headers appear for the menus.
For example:
Menu
Item 1
Subitem 1 of Item 1
Subitem 2 of Item 1
Item 2
Subitem 1 of Item 2
Subitem 2 of Item 2
Say Item 1 and its subitems are all hidden through authorization controls. The heading for Item 2 then appears as 'Subitem 2 of Item 1' instead of 'Menu'.

PS. Any idea where my previous post on this subject has disappeared to?Carl - in the example on htmldb.oracle.com, in Menu2 I'm hiding all the elements in Category 1 (parent and children), although not the 'grandparent' (Menu2).
I'm therefore still expecting the menu title to be 'Menu2', because that's Category 2's parent.
It doesn't appear to be an issue with the sequence of the items, because I've changed all those about and still got the same problem.
To be more specific, again using the htmldb.oracle.com example, in Menu2 we have:
Menu2
Category 1 (Hidden)
Item 1 of Category 1 (Hidden)
Item 2 of Category 1 (Hidden)
Item 3 of Category 1 (Hidden)
Item 4 of Category 1 (Hidden)
Category 2
Item 1 of Category 2
