Help with picture deleting on web site
I recently changed a video clip on my blog page and replaced it with a new one.The problem is that although i thought i deleted it, It now shows up on the lower portion of the screen when i access the web page....It does not appear on the iweb blog page, so I cannot delete it again. The question is "Do I have to delete the whole page and start again or is there a way of deleting it off the website while online?" Any help would be greatly appreciated.Oh yes and It usually doesnt appear on the first hit on the blog page, It is there when I access it the second time.

I do see what you are talking about and it does not seem to be a cache issue. Here is a screenshot of the offending pic....
The strange thing is that it doesn't stay put. I can minimize the browser window and when I bring it back up it disappears....but it reappears as soon as I start scrolling the window again. I cannot reproduce the problem in FireFox...only in Safari. This could be related to the QT video.
I guess I would recommend doing a "Publish All to .Mac" in order to lay your site files down all at once....get the gremlins out of the system. Another suggestion I'd like to make to you is to run your video clip through iSquint to make it playable while it is downloading (so you don't sit there waiting with the big Q logo). You can find the program here... http://www.isquint.org

I have the latest version of Safari on my Ipad but lately it no longer displays the pictures iof some web sites . For example, I can't see all the pictures of the products on Zalando's web pages. Can someone help me to solve this problem?
Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).

You'll want to use the 'Server Admin' tool.
The page you're seeing is the /Library/WebServer/Documents/index.html file. -

Email link to a pdf with text anchor on web site
I'm trying to create an email with a link to a web site's pdf file with a text anchor. I want the link to take the reader not just to the pdf file but to a certain location in the pdf file. I'm creating the pdf with the text anchor in Indesign 4. It's not working. Is this even possible?
Many thanks, Lorrainehttp://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/acrobat/PDFOpenParameters.pdf
See also http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/help/sutra66019.html for a full discussion. But of course it all depends on the application you are trying to open the PDF with -- not all of them may support these parameters. -
I've had issues with Facebook not loading certain areas of the web-site correctly or fully since Feb. 22. When I first go onto Facebook I am on the home page "news feed". Thing is when I click on the tab at the bottom of the news feed that says "see more", nothing is happening. It refuses to open the feed up to older posts which friends or myself have posted. Only about 6 - 8 posts at the max show on that home feed. That's it.
My other issue, also in Facebook is when I go to access my "messages". First click on the tab "messages" brings up a white page. Then if I refresh the page to see if it will load, the messages page loads very weird. It shows the last message I may have replied to at the bottom of the screen, but over lapping on top of the list of previous messages to the left of the page. Plus the page appears extremely different than it should. Just like it's been re-formatted or whatever.
Since these 2 issues started on Saturday afternoon I've switched over to the Safari browser on my iMac. On that browser Facebook is performing properly, as it should be. It's not overlapping messages. Plus the home feed isn't refusing to extend for me so that I may view older stories or posts by friends. All appears fine while accessing Facebook on the Safari browser. Not so while on Firefox. I am running the most up to date version of Firefox. "27.0.1" Plus I have a habit to clear the browser's history daily & restarting the browser as well as my iMac. So I do not believe those are my problems. I feel there may be something you guys there at Firefox should look into on this.
Thank you for your time.Hello,
'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|Firefox Safe Mode]] is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings and disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
''(If you're using an added theme, switch to the Default theme.)''
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item:<br>
[[Image:FirefoxSafeMode|width=520]]<br><br>
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
* On Windows: Hold the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac: Hold the '''option''' key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run ''firefox -safe-mode'' <br>(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]] article to find the cause.
''To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.

Help with Flash code in web page
I have a Flash file in the masthead of my web site that shows
a slideshow. I want to code the page so that if the viewer doesn't
have Flashplayer, an alternative jpeg comes up in the masthead
instead of the file with the flash slideshow. I'm afraid I'm new to
most of this.... I'd very much appreciate help with the
programming.
Thank you!
Here's the file:

alternate file I want to put in is:

could tell me specifically which is the embed code (the codes in
the <head>? What to I change here? I really appreciate your
help.

Help with removing/deleting medical collection!
Hello!! I am new to this forum and I am so glad that I found it. The wealth of information shared on this site is remarkable. Thank You All!!! I am looking for guidance with removing/deleting a medical collection from my CR. I researched the HIPPA process and guidelines (which I know cannot be discussed on this site) but I have not heard back from the creator. My question is has anyone had success with removing a medical collection without using the HIPPA process? If so, can you please share your strategy with me? The CA is Sav-it Enterprises in NJ and the amount owed is $300 from 2011 and I am willing to pay in full, today, in order to get it deleted. I sent them a pay for delete letter and they sent me the statement from the doctor's office and updated the account with the CRA. However, I did notice that the date of first delinquency is incorrect, if that even matters. I don’t know what I should do now or how I should move forward with getting it deleted. Any information you can share with me will be extremely helpful. This is the only remaining collection account that I have and I need it removed in order to increase my scores to qualify for a mortgage. Thanks in advance.
Yes, I do have proof that they date is incorrect - its off by 1 year. Also, the billing statement they sent me shows the date as 2011 but they are reporting it as 2012. I also have explanation of benefits from my insurance provider which confirms that date as 2011. Okay. I will call them today to offer full payment and then send a GW letter shortly after paying. I really hope it works because I really need to get this removed.

Compatibility with old IE-optimized web sites
Hello,
I'm experiencing some issues with a couple of my company websites that are optimized for an old version of Internet Explorer. I mean that using the new IE10 I need to use the option of "Compatibility view" to display the web pages correctly. Using Safari in my OS X environment is pratically impossible to display the web pages correctly. I can't manage to find any solution, I have tried to:
Use Chrome, Firefox and Opera
Install IE7 using Wine in OS X, but the results are very poor
This is a real problem for me because I can't use my Mac at work because of this issue. Is there any workaroud for such this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.Update the websites to be compatible with other browsers. If they use AtiveX they cannot be read by a Mac, and web sites that only work with IE are hopelessly outdated and will not attract business.
As it says in this document:
http://developer.apple.com/internet/safari/
"Safari complies with standards, but not all browsers do. This article explains how to design, modify and validate your website so that it can be rendered and read properly by all major browsers."
Try this: after you have logged into a problem page, open another tab or window with http://validator.w3.org/ and paste in the URL of that page, which will reveal any noncompliance with standards.
You also need to read this:
"Safari is one of the most standards-compliant browsers ever built. Thus, your best bet for ensuring your pages render properly in Safari — today’s version and beyond — is to follow web standards. For a great overview of web standards, check out Mozilla.org’s article Using Web Standards in Your Web Pages."

Help With a earth spinn flash site
Hy all and I hope I am no too stupid... but I am not realy
sure what to do with .... I have a flash earth spinning but it is
not look like a spinn...Can I aply a lens or distort somehow the
image? it's look more a drag or smth... can anyone help me? I give
the source if someone want... mail please at
[email protected] or messenger id... ThanxI doubt anybody will be able to help you specifically with
that template.
I have looked at it, and it is not something I would
recommend using, by any means.
From the general point of view of this forum's user, I can
safely say that this it is a very bad
template. That point of view is not based on how the template
looks, but on how it works, good
coding practices, accessibility, and web-design /
web-development common sense.
Flash navigation is a bad idea.
Slice-centric layout is a bad idea.
music playing in the background is a bad idea.
Pretty much everything about this template will make a
web-designer scream and run away as fast as
possible.
Then there is nothing wrong with using such template if you
have no intention whatsoever to learn
how to build web pages by yourself, use healthy coding
practices, and in the process to learn what
makes an accessible, valid, useful web page/site.
IF you really want to use this template, there might be a
forum dedicated to these templates on
monstertemplate.com, you might want top ask your questions
there.
Else, forget about this template, start afresh your own page
layout in Dreamweaver, create your
graphic elements in Photoshop, and come back here to get help
with that process.

Received notice that my verizon web site will be deleted on September 30, 2014. I am upset with that and think my price for internet should be reduced then. Just another rip off, I guess.
You don't want a dumb pipe like the rest of us? I'd love it if Verizon could focus on giving everyone an unlimited, unrestricted pipe that works well rather than playing around with bonus features, threatening users for excessive usage and having peering issues. The bonuses are nice, but they're not actually priced into the service.
The way I see it, Verizon's web hosting is extremely, extremely basic and limited. You can do much more with the many free web hosts (without ads, even!) available online in comparison to what Verizon offers. For example: FTP, SFTP, PHP, Python, Ruby, CloudFlare support, unlimited bandwidth and disk at some free hosts, e-mail addresses, the ability to tie your own domain to the account, web-based file managers, and website builders that make more modern looking pages, to name several features.
